I'm a used car dealer of 35 years and a big fan of the channel. Although I accept the German brands offer a very well build product, don't you feel that they are given a bit more credit than the cars really deserve? I've been known to refer to brands like, Volkswagen, Audi, BMW etc, as admiring "The Kings New Cloths". For the money, I'm not so sure the German brands are a customers best choice. I'd be very interested in your view. Again, Love the channel.
I only come online for Rebecca I just wait a long time and then come back to this channel and re watch randomly her videos. She must of made CarBuyer Millions.
Good looking city car, I like the design of this Peugeot 108, especially when it comes to the speedometer and the screen in the middle to control different settings.
I've got one of these 108 1.0 active. it's a nice first car the inside doesn't feel cheap unlike a volkswagen. the drive is smooth as hell, first problem I didn't like the clutch as stalling was a constant problem but my clutch was very light at the start but when the car was more broken in the clutch became heavier and easier to use. overall a good first small hatch back. I'm kicking myself here but the french actually made a really nice car.
+Chris Ewens I have a Vauxhall Zafira at work as a company car and it is a 1.6 diesel and I seem to always stall it. My personal car is a 1984 Volvo 340DL 1.4 and I have never stalled it and my Volvo is 32 years old and I never find it uncomfortable.
I have one of these and I like it a lot. I would agree with most of what she says except the bit about it not being suitable for motorway or out of town driving. I find it's perfectly OK except that the 998cc engine does lack a bit of acceleration sometimes when entering slip roads etc - you have to plan ahead.
I had a courtesy car 108 in basic spec, and yes it's very basic but I loved the single wiper and I personnal found it a lot of fun. Downside - bouncy, road noise was noticable. I can't remember my Mini of many years ago been as nosiy as this. OK for short runs, not so sure about long runs.
hmm on the motorway you`re better off with a vw up. You can get the 108 with a 82hp engine that goes from zero to 62m in 11.0 seconds against an up with 75hp that takes 13.2s. I`ve driven both and the 108 is way faster and more fun on the motorway.
I likte the design of 108.The chassis seems to be solid and strong. But the review said that suspension is not so good in comfort, smooth ride. The 108 seems to be solid and comfort car but according to the review the feeling from suspension is different. Not good as vw up.Vw up is better.
Very cute car.. I own 2004 Daewoo Matiz II, with 0,8liter engine. After years it does its work. Without any problems. Also fuel consumption is good for such model. It is 5,5 - 6,2l/100km. I think the 108 is better in consumption, but the interior size is not as Matiz has.
But i live in a country with hot weather most of the year, and you know that AC makes negative effects to the fuel consumption and overall performance of a car, specially in hot weather, so for me... pop out windows won't work, still i would hapilly buy this car :)
Julio Coello i am from portugal is hot big part of the year to and you sainf that the ac is bad for the fuel consumption but a window open is also bad in highway speeds is much worse than the ac, the power lose is minimal 2 or 3 hp you will not really notice it...
On "Rebecca" comments as well as being a good reviewer of cars and blummin gorgeous , apparently she is also a qualified racing driver and an entrepreneur .....WOWZER 😃
Reflects your personality? Does that mean the 108 comes with mahogany trims and obsidian additives? 5'4 and struggles? I'm 6'2 but at least the driver's seat can be adjusted in height.
"The hyundai i10 is bigger still" , I'm sorry but can you stop sucking up to hyundai, in quite a few videos such as ur review on certain city cars & ur talking about the disadvantages of it, u always bring up the i10, one of the most boring and uninspiring cars ever
The room in the back is great!!! i have had a six foot 5 incher teenager in the back and mum and dad and no probs!!! on the motorway it feels great ramps up to speed really well for a 1.0 litre engine ! the style is funky and heterosexual as far as i am concerned as i have had comments it is a feline only car? so thumbs up for me!!
Very interesting but when you say it's not really happy on oustide city roads, why not develop ? Is it because the suspensions ? Engine not that powerful ? Interior noise (that might be due to the convertible roof) ?
+John Petterson not all reviewers are trying to be neutral, that defeats the purpose. If reviewers didn't have opinions or their own biases, there would be no point to have multiple channels for reviewing cars. Everyone would give the same lame ass canned review. Why do you think people like Brian Cooley on Cnet cars or Chris Harris? It makes gathering different opinions enjoyable
Because maybe there isn't room for roll-down windows. Also it may be because of the design, with these vent windows you don't need that extra frame/beam going across the window, and that makes the car look more simple.
***** You said it better!!!!!!!!!!!....i have a 106 from 1998 and is still a spectacular car...the space in the interior is much better than this new cars (108, VW up!...etc)...and we have also in the family a 208 feline...is a near perfect car...go peugeot!!!!!!!...regards from Argentina!
I have just test driven a Brand New one, make sure you open the door with the engine running and the car shakes uncontrollably, the dealer said its because they have a 3 cylinder engine, I said so does my mini, I opened the door on my mini with the engine running and guess what no shaking, this one is made in collaboration with Citroen C! and Toyota Aygo, there are better small cars out there, may cost a little more, but at least you wont feel sick from the shaking, I would advise to avoid this car, its cheap for a reason, its poor build quality.
If you go on open roads then I recommend the 70bhp 1 litre VW/Skoda/SEAT... or you could just get the 1.2VTI 82bhp. Doesn't the feline / allure model she is driving have the puretech 1.2VTi engine... says it all really, not that people are watching this for her opinions haha
The army gave one of these to me as a hire car for a course i had to attend up in wales a few years back. Got stuck in traffic and it turned into a 7 hour jounery. In all honesty i have never driving such a horrible car for me , dont get me wrong it drive ok however it was so uncomfortable for me i am 6 ft my legs are long and after 7 hours my legs felt so uncomfortable i just wanted to get out of the car so quick. I dont think the constant stopping and starting helped though.
to think that people were saying "bring Matt back or we'll stop watching" Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV review - CarBuyer and now they want Rebecca to come back. It just makes me laugh. But bring her back tho

Let's be honest. We are all in love with Rebecca.
She just left the channel only 1 week after I said that :(

My parents had one too they had that problem too
i got one but having problems with the gear box took it too the dealers and they said it was ok.millage on the car is 3754
I wish we could buy these in the USA. Peugeot PLEASE come back!

Londonfogey She seems to forget it can have a bigger 1.2 engine. Her reviews are rubbish.
Woah chest has improved in size! How much? I am interested
Hated the car, but stayed to watch the review because of the perkier than normal Rebecca !!!
Looks the best of the three. Still for some fun citycar driving, I'd choose the Citigo.
I had a courtesy car 108 in basic spec, and yes it's very basic but I loved the single wiper and I personnal found it a lot of fun.

Wow she's gorgeous. She's a great reviewer as well!
Looks like it has been hitting the gym. Nice form with big plus points. I like this car.
I thought she left the channel?
Thats what I though aswell.
Where did you hear that?

Very nice car.
Great review.
Thanks!

gert just jensen at last, someone with common sense. I think I said something similar in my comment.
YAY new review!
Goodbye Rebecca! You will be sorely missed from the car buyer reviews! X
great to see Rebecca back and you sure are looking fantastic babe
Rebecca is back and so is Rebecca's back ;)
She's so gorgeous, I love the accent.
Last video of Rebecca, good luck to your future endeavors!!!

Just got the sad news Rebecca has left carbuyer, going to miss her, got a new job at the telegraph
Good luck Rebecca in your future challenges. You are perfect!
This is definetly the best looking car of the 3! I kinda love the style! :D (too bad those pop out back windows tho...)
the 106 had them the 107 had them and the 108 have them, its better having them that the case of the DS4 that you have nothing at all...
for a 4 door car... i dont like it
Julio Coello i get your point, i had a 107 for a couple of months and for me it made no diference, the car had AC and i never ride on the back...
But i live in a country with hot weather most of the year, and you know that AC makes negative effects to the fuel consumption and overall performance of a car, specially in hot weather, so for me... pop out windows won't work, still i would hapilly buy this car :)

I think 108 is prettiest of its brothers, maybe prettiest city car all together.
Does it come with a dummy for the water bottle ?
Touch screen is actually on the Active and above, not optional. Thanks.
was the car any good? I got totally distracted.

ROOMY ENOUGH FOR 2 ADULTS!
Very interesting but when you say it's not really happy on oustide city roads, why not develop ? Is it because the suspensions ? Engine not that powerful ? Interior noise (that might be due to the convertible roof) ?
From my experience the wind makes the car go off track a bit so you constantly have to make steering adjustments.
It’s big enough for two bananas

Last Review huh?! Be missing Becca... :-(
What's with her and them bananas @ 0:58 and 1:05 ? ;)

+mewde lol! yeah.
yu never know
it's the 9gag scale device you uncultured swine
Wait what was the car again?
Among its C1 and Aygo siblings, the 108 has the best look. In my point of view
Rebecca's last video in carbuyer... She apparently doesn't work for them anymore 🙁
I'm not even surprised. She's such a biased person; she doesn't deserve a title of a car reviewer.
She reviews for "the telegraph cars" on RUclips now
+John Petterson not all reviewers are trying to be neutral, that defeats the purpose. Nooooooo! Its Rebecca's last review for Carbuyer! Good luck Rebecca, your charm will be missed here at Carbuyer.
Pretty good car the Peugeot 108, what's not good is Rebecca leaving.
Hmm Toyota and Peugeot? So is it going to be extremely reliable or extremely unreliable?
Peugeots are reliable! We've got 2 in the family and neither of them have gone wrong!
they are all the same, made in the same factory with toyota engines. they are all fine
The last offspring of this joint venture was the peugeot107 Citroën c1 and Toyota aygo. Go take a look at their reviews!
Peugeot Citroen and Toyota city cars have been produced in the same factory for a long time
Duarte Castelo Branco wrong the 1.0 is toyota vvti but the 1.2 is the peugeot engine... however is still releable...
Rather than keyless entry, I would prefer to have some decent interior trimming in a small car costing this much money.
Wasn't rebecca supposed to leave....still happy to have her back....
Be gum, I do love me all Vauxhall/Holden/Opel/Ford American cars!
This was Rebecca's final car review before she left a few weeks, if not days, later. Matt replaced her with Ginny Buckley.
but its twice as big as the 10. also whty do car makers go with these sutpid \ vent windows on rear doors
bigger than the 107 and heavier than the 106
Because maybe there isn't room for roll-down windows. Also it may be because of the design, with these vent windows you don't need that extra frame/beam going across the window, and that makes the car look more simple.
i sweall all these little city cars are being verically stretched. ppl at the 106. that was the last good looking peugeot 1 series
