    I have owned this watch in the past and have since moved it on regrettably. I may have to remedy this today as it is a Sunday that Eddie will have the store open and I feel this may be my last chance to get one as stock is just about gone and who knows when the next time it will be in stock, if ever. Great video and hope you enjoy yours.

      Thanks for the comment, yes i love this watch and i don't think I'll ever sell it.
      I hope you got your order in. Eddie mentioned on the forum that stock was low.

    There was a time when product branding was considered cheaply commercial. If you want the spirit of the W10, then take the watch without a signed crown.

    Very nice watch. Particularly like the circle L (not T) and the standard Super-LumiNova colour (not faux patina) both of which help to give the piece its own identity while nodding in the W10 direction. Quite agree on the crown: An onion would have been nice. Enjoyed your review of this and of the Air Ministry. Do you have a favourite?

    • @WTMS1
      @WTMS1  4 года назад

      Yes, I'm very happy that there's no faux patina here. As for a favourite.. it's a cop out, but even though all 3 of my Time Factors Smiths are 36mm stainless watches, they all have their own, really strong, identity, so not really. Each has its own wow factor that makes me happy i put it on in the morning. I can't pick a favourite, but will say that it was the Air Ministry that got me into Time Factors, so i think it will always be the most 'special' for me.

    The Everest Explorer has the signed crown but maybe it pushes the price too high. I agree with you that for the money, having an ETA and a boxed sapphire crystal WITH AR is excellent...

    Good review, I’ve been looking forward to it. Is there any difference in the winding feel between this one and your Air Ministry? My AM is not easy to wind, as it has some resistance.

    • @tunokies
      @tunokies 4 года назад +1

      My AM has quite a bit of resistance too. As does my Hamilton field khaki with the same movement. It's less noticeable on the Khaki though due to the larger crown which gives you the feeling of more torque when winding it. So I only think it feels like the AM has quite a lot of resistance because of the smallish crown. Nothing to worry about IMO.

    • @WTMS1
      @WTMS1  4 года назад +1

      Thanks for your feedback. My A and AM are about the same. Very light with little feedback in the early part of the wind. It's not a functional problem rather a tactile one.
      If your AM is hard to wind it might be time for a service. Or pop an email to Eddie if you're still in warranty

    • @dustycups
      @dustycups 4 года назад +2

      WT MS Thanks guys, I may have made it sound worse than it really is. It’s just a solid wind, and because of the small crown you definitely notice it. I have the 29a on the way so let’s see how it compares. Reading around there appears to be variation between individual watches of these models.
      I too have the Hamilton mechanical and I have been spoiled by the excellent ergonomics of that massive crown.

    • @tunokies
      @tunokies 4 года назад +2

      I am toying with the idea of threading a slightly larger crown on mine. Maybe I'll give it a go some time.

    Hi, great review sir.
    is it a screwdown crown?

    • @WTMS1
      @WTMS1  2 года назад +2

      No, it's a pull out crown on these manual winders. I'd imagine a screw down crown on a watch you wind every day would become a bit annoying. If you see my other videos Eddie also has some 36mm automatics which do have screw down crowns. Thanks for the feedback. It is appreciated.

    Hello mate, I'm looking for a watch of good quality but something I can wear everyday. Do you have any recommendations? What brands would fit that description? Thanks

    • @WTMS1
      @WTMS1  4 года назад +1

      That's a very difficult question to answer. Do you want a diver, field watch, something dressy? Seiko is a great brand with great watches for the money. A step up would be the Hamilton Khaki range - fantastic watches for the money. Have a look through my channel. I focus on affordable watches, but there are so many styles & budgets out there that it's almost impossible to answer your question

    • @graygamingps4503
      @graygamingps4503 4 года назад

      @@WTMS1 I tend to be drawn toward dressy watches as I'm quite picky when it comes to divers, some I like some I do not. I was looking at anything up to £1000. Thanks for the reply

      @@WTMS1 I have worn it one day and I do love it. Super fast shipping from Eddie because it went from Sheffield to San Francisco in 2 days. Now I have to buy some 18mm straps but that's one of those fun problems.

    • @WTMS1
      @WTMS1  3 года назад

      Immense. I'm sure you'll still love the watch long after you've forgotten about the money it cost. Good to hear Eddie's shipping is on point. I don't know if you have them over there but i rate the 18mm Swiss Reimagined straps I've bought from Amazon. As a side note, i spent my summers in SF as a kid and loved it. Would love to visit again.

    • @WTMS1

      It's a great dial. If you value simple legibility and the vintage military aesthetic you'll love it. I can't find fault with any of the Smiths dials
