- Yachts at the Annapolis Boat Show in 2021 were everywhere. One of those yachts really stood out and that was the new Burger 50 Cruiser. Today we sea trial a 50 foot Burger Cruiser and this thing is like walking a mega yacht shrunken down. Its size offers the simplicity of having a small crew or none at all. We ride with Ron and Jim from Burger they showed us this beautiful boat and how it handles.

Thank you Alfred for another wonderful video of the Burger 50’s sea trials. I’m impressed with the stability and quietness of this vessel. I’m also impressed that it can be equipped with a the DP system, and it even has autopilot and joystick control too. What a well equipped mini mega yacht.
I can remember using a LORAN C and look down radar to navigate with. I’ve had to navigate around Shrimp boats when I worked out of the Exxon Mobile dock at Freeport, Texas, so I know what Ron is dealing with when traveling around floating objects and fishing vessels. Jim & Ron did a wonderful job explaining the features and seaworthiness that the Burger 50 is capable of.
Loran C! Brings back memories. I may have been on one of those gulf shrimpers you navigated around in those days. The Lady Evelyn out of Ft. Myers, Fla.
I can go back farther than loran C. How about using Loran A with an oscilloscope to navigate the bahama islands in 1972. I was a hired skipper on a corporate boat. It was a measly 63 foot 1967 Rybovich sportfish. You young wants be's should have been there then. Y'all ain't gotta freegin clue. Square groupers on a midnight run? Any guess'?

She's a lovely big cabin-cruiser, but a little. constructive criticism. After seeing the sea conditions at Haul-Over Inlet, I feel that there are too many sharp edges that could cause injuries even though she gives a great ride on the calmer seas of the test. Perhaps it might be better if the console and galley furniture had rounded and cushioned corners and more protection from the glass edge as one goes out onto the cat-walk. She is a beautiful boat and handles extremely well - better than many of the smaller ones we see at Black Point. I wonder if they have ever thought of building Hydrofoil boats like the Russian Commetas used in Greece. I thank Burger for showing us their boat and wish them continued success.

Fisher Island is a small island just south of Miami Beach. It borders Government Cut which is the main passage way for big ships.
It is the zip code with the highest wealth per capita in the United States. When I was a kid, I grew up in Cocoanut Grove, Fisher Island was a spoil island and a place all the kids would camp out.

I just came back from locking our pool for the night (it’s inclosed & open year round), it’s about 200 yards from my home, froze my butt off and it’s windy, damn Chicago area, LOL. Your videos keep me warm and at 70, I need to stay warm, keep them coming and THANKS

the best view of the racing water is in the rear cabin. cost? i'm guessing 1.3 ? cost to operate/maintenance annually a 100 grand?
55 gallons per hour burn on cruise seems very high and not very economical. Would this boat be a good candidate for doing the loop or is it not a good boat for long-term cruising?

I don’t like the fact that they couldn’t give you a price on the boat we were looking at knowing that if you build a boat and changed specs it would be a different price at least put us in a bowl game of what the spot would cost and I was it in 1 millions what is it
