Thank you very much Mark. Very nice video once again. This car is very awesome. Turning a Maxx into a Slash is a great idea. The car can certainly take a lot. But what bothers me. Why doesn't Traxxas install steel driveshafts? And why dont't they install a standard size servo with more power and faster response. And why dont't they put a fan on the motor? I expect these parts for such a high price. But am a Traxxas fan and i want this car. Traxxas knows we will still buy their expensive cars....😂

As soon as this truck was leaked I told my buddy MSM is gonna have it if it’s released. But before it comes out. Lol. Looks like a sick truck man. Great review.
I can see by how it handles that it’s way lighter than the Mojave or UDR and lighter is always better on an RC. I think Traxxas has a winner here. I still want them to make a 1/6 2wd Slash though.
UDR doesn't handles light because it is made for that, i mean it's a scale ! When u drive it u want to have the illusion that the truck is weighting 3 tons. Anyway good night and yeah an 1/6 2wd slash would be so fun .
Awesome news thank for the video. Traxxas website has it listed. They have a great video of it in action as well. It’s bigger than the slayer pro I’m gonna have to pre order one as my first electric Rc

If it’s as much fun (or better) as I’ve had with my arrma 6s fire team I’m getting this next. Looks killer and they nailed the size and performance on it.
I saw one yesterday, Sun, Mar 3. Could've paid for one, and picked it up on Friday, Mar 8. Had my choice of colors, too. Hobbytown had them, but couldn't release them, yet. Oh, my, I was tempted....

I really appreciate the comparison to the UDR. What I am dyinnngggg to see is, if the UDR cage fits the slash maxx wheelbase. I think with the independent suspension it could make a sick larger scale desert/Ultra4 style basher. Traditional basher suspension with UDR styling
Honestly seems to me like one of those vehicles that looks really cool in a vacuum, but when you actually look at the RC market there's really not much of a place for it. The "1/10th scale" (in quotes because they are NOT 1/10th scale proportionately, they just use 1/10th scale platforms as a basis) SCT scene is already super-entrenched. Then again, it seems like anything Traxxas makes that gets the "Slash" name slapped on it (even the mini-slash, which for all intents and purposes was actually more of a mini E-Slayer) sells like hotcakes, so who knows. Maybe it'll jumpstart a new "1/8th scale" SCT class and then every other US manufacturer will jump in with more racing-focused vehicles based on truggy platforms. Eh, probably not. It happened with the "1/10th scale" 4WD SCTs because it was still early during SCT-mania. And SCT-mania has long since passed at this point. I won't be buying one, mainly because I don't do -drugs- Traxxas, I'm not fond of the way they treat their dealers or their "why innovate when you can litigate" business practices. But honestly, if there was one car Traxxas made that _almost_ made me reconsider my stance, well... it's actually not this, it's their retro sprint car. But I admit this is one of the better "existing platform with a new body" releases they've made, even if it's for a class that literally only has one other vehicle and is effectively redundant.
The song you played a person called mc eight from Compton's most wanted. Songs called "then u gone" ten mins into this you play a different version I like it 😊. Max slash is on the bucket list
Maybe Team Associated will sue Traxxas for side clipping body into nerf bars like my SC10B has. lol Like when Traxxas sued Arma over that front end shock thing, they didn't invent that in RC, Tamiya had that year before. I used to love Traxxas in late 90s, If traxxas could have made the old 2wd Stampede into 4x4 they would of had a real hit. There was a conversion kit for it, in little ads in Radio control car action. But it was almost the price of a new stampede. It had crazy clearance. Then the Emaxx was released and that was a beast with twin brushed 550s. Such a fun truck. To make it brushless back then was 2 times the cost of another Emaxx.. I couldn't afford it back then. I liked 18 packs of beer better. lol
Mate, I was thinking this same thing, about it sounding and handling like the Mojave 6S. To be fair, I really like the look of the new Maxx Slash, however, as my Mojave is still one of my favorite bashers, I’ll think I’ll stay with that. Great video though 😉

What is the stand you have it sitting on? Just getting into RC cars and that looks nice to have lol
So it came up almost 20mph short of the top speed on the box, and you’re expected to make all of that up with gearing you buy yourself?
Umm Yeah, you can easily gain 10 + MPH by adding a pinion with 2 more teeth, and lowering the spur by two teeth. If you do a three tooth increase on the pinion and drop the spur by two teeth, then you will have your 20 MPH that it was short by.
My point is for $700 the gearing should be included if they’re going to advertise the speed on the box
