Which Closed in 1984 as a School.
{ Stone Cross Mansion }
Is Now Owned by
{ Persimmon Homes }
Which Are Trying to Develop It into
20 Luxury Apartments,
& Also Build Several New Homes in the Grounds Surrounding of It.
Which They Have Applied for Planning Permission for the Main Mansion Building to be Convert into 20 Luxury Apartments with Another 20 to 25 Mews Style' Homes in the Grounds.
They Have Been Trying to Get Planning Permission for over Six Years.
But the
{ South Lakeland District Council }
Have Denied Them Planning Permission to Do so Presently.

I was one of the old boys from stone cross school many years ago and went back to see it says you cant enter but i just rode up to the school and there was security on but the guy who was on let me take photos of the old school gone is the old steam train that use to stand in the garden at the front the place had been vandalised by local yobs both outside and inside it is going to be made now into private flats
