Thanks. Yes, one thing I always try to remember is that many weathering and paint effects massively tone back when dry, when varnish is added, or when further effects are added.
Nice video & model, doing snow well isn’t always the easiest, but the time you took was well worth it! Environment goes so well with the vehicle… Well done👏👏☺
Man, that’s a nice scene. I have the exact same kit halfway done in my stash, lost interest in the vehicle at some point. Anyway, I enjoyed watching you building it! Only thing I’m missing is a light wash, especially around the bonnet details. Personally I’ve reached results to my liking with a medium grey wash with a dirty, almost brownish hue, on winter vehicles, but that’s of course highly dependent on personal taste! The canvas roof looks really cool, also the leafs in the ground work are a nice touch und I’m actually surprised how good the figurines look, considering how old the molds are and the comparatively simple paint job. Your decision to go with just a small base was just perfect! It serves as a natural looking foundation for the vehicle without distracting from the action loaded poses of the figures! Very well done🫡
Hi mate I was really hoping that you would resort to an aftermarket track kit after watching your original build, big job modifying the wheel spacing though as you pointed out. Shame about the base, should have sealed it 1st. Great piece of work and it looks very effective. ❤😊
That's interesting to see how versitile this vehicle was. I have sdkfz7 troop carrier version that was also used to tow the flak 37 88mm AA gun. The base looks very good though i always prefer some more action in the background.
Like your muddy snow, nice finish.
Thanks 👍
*Tamiya kits are still good ones, your base is really simple and efficient, 👏👏!*
I totally agree!
Nice job! No trace snow on the cab cover. You more patience than I!
Thanks! Yeah, you're right about the cab cover.
Great work on the base my friend. Sets the build up really well. The figures are the icing on a very nice cake. Great to see
Thanks Steve
Most impressive and immersive terrain base, congrats!
Thank you Phil
was worried when I saw how dirty the figures might be, but what would I know, they came out perfect, well done on an awesome diorama 👌

Greeting Nerd, that came ouf absolutely fantastic, the scene even looked cold, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia 👍👍👍👍
Thank you - yes, I was really pleased with the effect

Thank you!
Really nice simple diorama that show cases the model really well 👍. To stop the base warping I’d recommended priming first maybe
Thanks. Yeah, I should have sealed it with something first. I didn't realise just how much water that Vallejo paste contained!

Thanks. I did a wash in the previous video but at this stage its effects are not really visible - another grey one would work well, I think
I really need to try making a diorama. This is a great inspiration for me to try to. Excellent job.
Thank you - I'm glad you found it useful
This looks awesome!
Thanks!

Yeah, I didn't fancy the whole wheel adjustment thing - it wasn't just the spacing but also the depth
Really good👏
Thanks Dave

Thanks. Yes, lots of variations of this vehicle. I like bigger dioramas too but I just couldn't envisage how I'd do it with this model.
Hello MN the dio looks great, thanks for sharing 😂regards Liam
Thank you Liam
@@ModelNerd no worries - looks straight forward to build a simple base, cheers.
Very good 👍.
Thanks Steve
👍
Thanks
Russian mud , I doubt youd see the tracks at all
Fair, certainly in the wet season. Here I was going for the partially frozen ground look.
2:38 you said the word diarrhoeas. Why did you say that?
You are hearing things that aren't there.
Yeah....I guess I said diorama
Thanks!
Thank you - greatly appreciated!
That worked out very well nice to watch!
Thank you mate
