Watching Night shift doing dioramas is constant screaming in your head "It looks finished don't risk it!!" but then he just amazes you how it can look even better.
I'd like to see you try a sunny day lighting effect, with all shadows painted in, on the side of the tank, sign posts, people etc. It would be interesting to see if it works. I did this with lunar Module model on a moon surface and it looked good. I used a slide projector to map and trace out the shadows, then I painted the shadows darker. It might be an interesting look with an armor diorama!
You had me at, "Don't eat the yellow snow", Martin. Seriously though, you did a spectacular job on this project and it was very nice of you to do this for your friend!
A lovely vignette for a lovely little Pz38t. I am missing those glorious, long, detailed Night Shift builds with a full construction video, detailed painting and diorama, so perhaps we could see more soon? I'd love to see an Australian Centurion 5/1 build with a Vietnam base, I think that'd look excellent with this quality of modelling.
For getting straight edges on your resin pours, rather than using tape use acrylic or plexiglass. You can attach it to the base by putting painters tape on the side of the base then supergluing or hot gluing the acrylic sheet to the painters tape. Then you can simply peel the painters tape off the base without damaging the base. If you want to reuse the acrylic you can put painters tape on the acrylic (where it contacts the base) and basically glue the tape to the tape. That way neither the acrylic nor the base is damaged. Beautiful work and great videos. Good luck.
"MAH FRENS!"...... my Friday just got moar betterer!!! Oh, and I have a suggestion. Use an oil based stain for the veneer. You can then use a sealer for whatever effect you want... gloss, matte, flat... the results will be stunning.
Please do a 1/35 German 88mm..!!! Maybe even a diorama with it!! We ALL would Love to see your interpretation of some kind of ‘AA’ gun, or anti tank gun!! Show Us some more Greatness !!
I'm not in the habit of posting things on the Internet but I have to comment on your absolutely fantastic modelmaking skills. Forced retirement has left me with lots of free time and, after watching most of your videos, you have provided the inspiration to go back to making models - something I've not done for over 20 years! If my models are only a fraction of the quality of your, I'll be happy 😀 Thank you
Not only this is an amazing little model and diorama, its also wholesome as heck you did this for your friend. I hope he rejoices it for years! (I know I would)
Great use of the products. The snow from being run over by the tank definitely had that mud squished into it look, exactly as it would in life . Your modelling techniques are an asset to any modeler, excellent work. Your friend must treasure this diorama.
Idk if you take suggestions/ideas but ive wanted to see you do an aircraft and your VW Beetle made me think youd do a great crashed bomber scene. For inspiration, look up pictures of the Loon Lake B-23 Dragon crash in Idaho. Its in my home state and ive been there, its a cool location.
Very niiiiice! 🤗 In fact, these snow products are very fun to work with - I build an arctic sub-diorama in 1/700 some time ago; at first it looks like a big mess.... but step by step it would be turn out as a really nice project. Sure, there's no trees, bushes or any other vegetation in the middle of arctic waters, looks a little bit empty or unfinished; but that's the reality! 😉
I intend to get into dioramas myself one day. Building the kits is a blast but I want to really grab the vibe of the build. And thanks to Night Shift and his videos, I feel as if I'll have a leg up on doing my first one.
Also I would really appreciate it if you could tell me where you get that styrofoam from, I’m sure it’s pretty simple but I would still like to have some guidance 👍
Really liking these shorter videos, Martin. Keep 'em coming. I'd especially like to see you talk about the best way to compose a scene, placement of objects, etc. etc..
Awesome work as allways, you didn’t disappointed. Well done Martin! But hey, how about a totally new aproach? How about making a huge diorama that can hold up to 7 vehicles? And one of them would be an airplane or a helicopter. Obviously that is just what you do but without often starting and finishing your projects. That would be a nice place to build a whole town or a big landscape.
I remember in army cadets we had our hike and the group I lead was walking through melted snow like that. Crawling out of the tent and getting your uniform wet too. that always happened of the first field exercise of the year
Great looking tank but it's the landscaping on this one that sets it apart - amazing! I really like that snow sprinkles product. I have been considering a winter/spring scene similar to this one and this video will be a huge help, thank-you!
Love it, looking at doing snow bases for a Space Wolves squad and this is great inspiration. Only thing I would change and really who am I to say, but I liked the wood finish better on the base then the black. But man this is awesome, makes me want to do historical models.
This is a super cool channel, never done any crafts like this myself but you manage to be entertaining and informative anyways. Have you ever considered doing a large scale firefight display of some historical battle?
Watching Night shift doing dioramas is constant screaming in your head "It looks finished don't risk it!!" but then he just amazes you how it can look even better.
He's one of the best miniature artists I've ever seen, every project keeps me glued to the end. Pun intended.
I agree, everytime I think it’s perfect he makes it better!
So true
@@Anonymous-gb4ml Give some names of others for those who want to see more good work, please!
Those ice shelves are pure genius ! Great Idea and perfect result.
These extended Uncle Nightshift videos are too addictive to watch. It just fuels my hobby motivation.

Thats sounds amazing; I'd love to see the effect on your lunar model!
Great idea! I’d like to try that with a desert type diorama with the strong sun👍🏼
Is your Lunar Diorama online to see?

This is the best resin water that you have ever done! The opacity is perfect, and the ice looks great on top. I hope your flooring goes well!
I wholeheartedly agree 👍

"From my garage..." Yeah sure😉
Thank you , Uncle Martin .

The ground, it's just so perfect, so impressive i could never do!
That resin water is so cool. You should put a little fish in it next time.
man the execution of the ice overhanging the river is SO GOOD
Without a doubt my man, you are the most talented modeler i have seen on YT... props to you bro!!!

I just got out of the hospital and this is the first video I watched... simply amazing... Thank you Mr. Nightshift!
This is the type of content I watch at 3 in the morning. It’s great.
I don't have a foam cutter so I just use my Stihl Chainsaws to make my cuts ;) What a good friend, making this for a buddy!
FINALLY! Snow that looks like Snow! And you did miss one little thing... That water is Begging for a Fish! Dude, you are the Bomb!!!
Uncle has blessed us with a 21 minute video
Brilliant, as always. The ice, above the water, is fantastic.

I LOVED the final touch of the dirty slush at the road side. All of a sudden you know it's real.
Certainly looks cold and wet...nice one
The raised ice sheets are genius!!!

''don't eat the yellow snow''.....that's funny
I like how simple this vignette looks but it is still very impressive!
Also the ice on the water is so cool and realistic 😯👏
Great results. The ice on the creek was a touch of brilliance. Well done.
Great use of the products. The snow from being run over by the tank definitely had that mud squished into it look, exactly as it would in life . Your modelling techniques are an asset to any modeler, excellent work. Your friend must treasure this diorama.
I am new on your channel. I must only say, "Man, you are a true master of arts!"
Could you please start using your community tab so ppl have some kind of idea about if a video comes or not?
AMAZING!! I would put some snow on the tank itself...
Once again, you have thoroughly entertained me, I very much enjoy and learn from you. Thank you uncle nightshift 👍

Maybe try adding fish in rivers/lakes? Nice video!
That is simple yet effective, very well done.
Night Shift just keeps getting better and better. There is a lot to learn from them too!
Sometimes I use plastic cement to make the weld details from the attacked plastic coming out between the parts

More ground slop on the tank is my only gripe. Still best on RUclips.
