    I like the way the ride height and preload are adjustable separately.

    Mine just came in! My neighbor has them since I’m Out of state for the weekend!! Can’t wait to get these installed!! But man, I got my 02 Z06 and it was on stock leafs at 2 fingers. Crazy no wonder it feels low lol 🙈

      Someone had them bottomed out! May have been on the aftermarket lowering bolts 🤔. I would like to go another 1/2". But my driveway doesn't agree. But I am more than happy with where they are and the ride quality. 🤙👍

      @@VetOnVettes they appear to be the stock bolts. 😅 I had all the a arms off to do all the poly bushings this past winter and eye balled it back where it was knowing I was going to do coils shortly.

    I have a 2002 supercharged Z06 same color and been thinking about suspension upgrade since shocks getting worn. I had BC racing coilovers BR series years ago on a BMW and I thought they were good for the price. With the Vette we have options... BC racing BR and DS series, swift springs too. Did you choose BR? Did you go with custom spring rates?
    I'm curious if any Vette owners have experience with the Fortune Auto 500 series coilovers or LG Motorsports?
    Guessing cheaper option to upgrade shocks to c6 Z06 shocks... anyone with experience doing this?

    Thanks for a great video! I like that the price is not out of this world like some. These should be good for a high hp street and show car right? (No Track - spirited driving sometimes).

    Really like your videos! Question on the BC Coilovers. One of the knocks on the BC, is that the mounting system of the BC's puts all the weight of the car on the strut of the shock. I think you sort of alluded to this with your comment on the rubber/polyurethane bushings? Was this something that caused you (or causes you) any concerns? The price is definitely right when compared to some of the higher end coilovers out there. Thanks!

    • @VetOnVettes
      @VetOnVettes  3 года назад +4

      My concern with the front bushings is the additional weight on the bushing. Rubber is not as strong as polyurethane. That's why I want to go that route. Where the coils mount to car up front are pretty stout. The shape and angle of the welded bracket is pretty legit. The rears mount flush to the frame. No worries there. 🤙👍

    How is the body roll vs stock suspension? Does it change at all with a coilover upgrade?

    When I try to adjust my ride height the whole shock body spins rather than staying stationary for adjustment. Any help would be great! Love the video👍🏼

    Hey man I love your videos and I installed bc coil overs on my 97 vette but left the leaf spring. I’m trying to adjust the height but I’m not seeing a change. Do you think the leaf could affect that?

    • @VetOnVettes
      @VetOnVettes  3 года назад

      I highly recommend removing the leaf when doing this. The coilovers will have zero effect with the leafs still on the car as the preload / weight of the vehicle is still in the leafs and governed by the ride height of the leafs. Further more i imagine the ride would be less than ideal with both setups installed. To answer your question, yes the leafs affect that. Remove them. Make sure you set your height correctly and preload as well.

      @@VetOnVettes thanks for the quick response, i hope I didn’t screw up the preload. I’m going to take the leafs out then. Thank you

      It's single adjustable dampening so it controls both together. There is no independent adjusting for one of the other if that's that you mean.
