I played this back on PC and Xbox, even when the servers started to die out. I would love to go back and play this again today. I just listen to this in the background while I work. Love it mate
Thanks for the upload. Something about FFXI is incredibly nostalgic for me despite not playing it much. If XI was available on PS5 I'd absolutely give it another shot with some friends as despite modern conveniences that have been added, it is still very old school.
Thank you for the comment! I wish it was available for PS5 as well. While the devs added a ton of quality-of-life upgrades it still retains that incredible old school feeling. Thanks for watching!
This has been my companion while I draw all day today, definitely gonna be following along for the whole series. Something about this era of video games, the graphics, the sfx, the music. So good. I've tried and bounced off this game several times, way after its prime, so the servers were dead and I didn't know how anything worked. Cool watching someone else play it in a long format like this, just observing how you approach the game. Also, appreciate the lack of commentary, it's like I have a ghost buddy gaming beside me.
Thank you so much for the comment and watching along! Having the videos on this channel as a companion for doing other tasks or just as a visual/audio background is why I do no commentary videos. It is great to hear that other people are enjoying the format. FFXI was so daunting to try. I had originally planned to end it after the first expansion, but by that point I actually felt like I was beginning to grip the systems and grew to enjoy the world and story. I was particularly surprised at how much I grew to love the music in this game. Leaving my Mog House into Bastok at the beginning of each play session has become so comforting. This era in gaming is so distinct and interesting I plan to come back to it once I finally finish my playthrough of the Final Fantasy Mainline games. Are there any games from this era you'd like me to play through?
