- This is a video update on the Aqua Rio Neo Flow filter inlet/outlet set.
I’ve been using it for just over a month now so have got a good insight to its pros and cons.
Please comment below on your own views of this set if you’ve used it 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻.
Leave any comments both good and bad, you won’t offend me 🤣.
Please leave a like/share the video and all that stuff 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻.
Slinky 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
You could just get the aquario neo reducer to solve your evaporation issue.
Nice scape. :)
Thank you! Awesome scape by the way.
You can turn down the flow on that filter or just get neo reducer. I don't know what the thinking was behind the skimmer. so i also got eheim skimmer.
May I know what’s the height of your tank mate?
What’s the red plant by the rock?
If memory serves me it’s Alternanthera Rosaefolia on the right hand side and Cryptocoryne Spiralis Red on the left.
Very early in its planting so the reds hadn’t popped at that time
Does the plastic transparency degrade over the years? Does it become opaque? Updates?
Mine did, only very slightly but once cleaned and back in the water it isn’t enough to tell.
I’m still using one set on a small shrimp scape and they work ok.
I've been using the original one for a while now myself. Over time the clarity of the pipes has faded and become more foggy/milky. Have you had a similar issue? ...and if so, do you know of a solution to prevent or fix it? Thanks for your review.
No, not had that problem yet so that’s a strange one and something you won’t get with glass pipes.
I have a spaghetti jar that’s tall enough to take my pipes and I’ve filled it up with pure thin cheapo bleach so when I have to clean my pipes I soak them in bleach over night then use a really soft ADA pipe cleaner brush to clean them.
I’ll keep an eye out on that though.
@@slinkyscapes8530 Much apprciated! I do bleach mine, but only for 15 minutes. I wonder if the plastic for the original pipes is different from the newer version. I was considering upgrading but didn't want to have the foggy plastic issue all over again. At least I know it's preventable now. Thanks again.
nice scape. :) by the way, how is the aquario now? does it suffer from discoloration and scratches? thanks! :)
Absolutely fine tbh, no scratches at all but I do clean them with an ADA pipe cleaners and they are super soft brushes.
No discolouration either so really happy with them 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
@@slinkyscapes8530 I really appreciate the feedback and response sir. thank you! :) been eyeing this one to replace the glass pipes i got. :)
@@BuildersBench anytime 🤙🏻 cracking kit, has a couple of draw backs but compared to the bulky glass kits we use these are a lot more compact and practically unbreakable.
what kind of light is that?
It’s the Chihiros vivid mini
Great light for deeper tanks like a 60P or 60H as it’s very intense.
Apparently the Vivid 2 mini is even better 🤙🏻
could you link the shrimp inlet pipes? Cheers mate!
Did the skimmer really effective?
It’s effective at dispersing the bacterial oil like surface scum no problem, however, dead leaves that float will be sucked in and pushed back into the aquarium which once sink are perfect for algae growth as it decomposes.
These skimmers are good but as they are on the outflow not perfect.
in know vaye tive LOL Cheers!!
