Thank you for the informative video. My son and I completed our Cat Strap installation today. The hose clamps definitely came in handy, especially at the front of the cat. Our exhaust system has a joint right there and we needed it to squeeze the two straps together to get the exhaust clamp to come together. My family used to own an RV dealership. One night last year, a thief cut through the fence and cut cats out of 3 customer owned units. He was in and out within 10 minutes. I should rest easier knowing we now have a good deterrant on there. Thanks again!
Great video. My RV Max Protect CatStrap & CatEye alarm are coming today, and I'll be installing them tomorrow. I also plan on adding some 1/4" braided stainless steel wire ropes down the sides of the pipes for more protection. The total cost of the CatStrap beats the $3,111.59 replacement cost that was just incurred when the old catalytic converter was cut off last week.
@@BrewersArcade Ignoring the fact that the temperature was in the low 30s, the large gravel I was laying on, and being 69 years-old, it turned out to be a very straight-forward installation. As you suggested, I added extra stainless steel U-clamps, 4" stainless steel hose clamps, and many stainless steel zip ties. I also installed the CatEye alarm system. Hopefully that will be enough to make them think twice before putting the extra effort in to cut it out again!
Thanks for the detailed video. After seeing this I think I am going to try this myself instead of having the shop do it. Do you notice any rattling coming from any of the zip ties or clamps. Just want to make sure I get it all super tight and rattle free.

I appreciate the kind words! Really sorry to hear about your stolen cat. I’m trying to prevent that nightmare😵💫

No issues with rattles. Just take your time and if you can have an extra set of hands.
How many catalytic converters does an E450 have?
One large one
