Just an idea to share, maybe a mesh grill up in the fenders so no debris fly into engine bay hey hey. 😁😁😁
Love what you do Dustin. But hammering out the wheel studs with a hammer can really hurt your wheel bearings. They are made out of hardend steel that easily chips.
Dut put some mesh where u took the finder liner out. That gonna throw rocks up and Jack the underside of ur hood and it’s gonna sound crazy

Please put the hood mesh on the varis hood because it doesn't hinder air flow it just prevents leaves from being on the engine

Dustin great video here man. The tire setup would be alot safer for you not running spacers. Currently you are running a 18x10.7wide wheel with -50offset and a 15mm spacer. By running a 18x10.7 wide and -35 offset you can get rid of the spacer and accomplish the same thing. better safety as there's one less thing to fail, and lighter. Alot Lighter.
Cutting the fenderliner just created turbulent air by the tires. The fender liner redirects the air through the side vents which is more efficient
hub centric spacers are needed to avoid high speed wheel vibration😮

Now without the fender liner, there’s gonna be a lot of rocks on the engine bay damaging and bending parts

Ohhh i also have 6 piston Calipers. I noticed yours calipers were tiny. But damn. 6 pistons will change your entire braking experience on track.
have you thought about doing a matt hood? it will dramatically reduce glare when your on the track. its not something you notice untill you try it. look at any top dog race teams they mostly have matt hoods for this reason this is also why flocking dashes is a thing.

Are you practicing with a similulator at COTA? Braking is one of the biggest aspects when running a car at COTA. Brake fade is a serious thing at COTA. I dont reccomend regular pads tbh. Idk the brand pad you're using. Just fyi I usually use EBC Yellow Track Pads and even other HPDE Drivers tell me im not braking hard enough if i still half over half the pads left. If i attend the event hopefully ill get to meet you. Ive been on track at COTA quite a bit and am a solo driver. However ive been building the car for competition. I cant wait to be able to compete once my car is ready.

You will have problem with steering wheel shaking on track. With spacer without center ring you will not available put wheel in center of hub.

Cutting the liner will give more flow, but your engine bay will get dirty af from your tires slinging dirt, gravel, etc up into it.
Maybe get some hood struts so you don't have to use the prop.

Hey Dustin! question...... Specially on the FK8. When it comes to changing coolant. Does it needs to be burped? meaning bleeding air off the hoses? if so how can I do that since we only have a coolant reservoir? thank you!
Are your rotors installed backwards? From the video, it looks like The passenger and driver side rotors need to be swapped. Perhaps I’m wrong, but wanted to bring it up just in case…

It's so awesome to see how far the CTR has come. To me, it's great to see the class that you are racing the Type R in and how so much of it still remains similar to factory. I know that you've done a ton of mods on it, but it's still relatable. Keep up the awesome work. Can't wait to see all that's to come as you grow in Time Attack!
What’s better on track, FK8 or S2000 in your opinion having driven both with all things considered
i think s2000 is a great car to learn on if you're looking to get serious and want to take your time. it will teach so much car control and help you overcome fear. FK8 is great if you want to just hop in and go .

Using the wheel spacers on the front of the car can you change the geometry of the suspension you need to buy the proper wheels to fit the car spacers are not good on front wheel drive cars especially for racing
