Any predictions guys when 5b 5x11 comes out?
or change title
so many people die just so that they die...
1:20 Bjorn morning the lost of his son and wondering how Ivar is unhurt and even Ivar's Army has won the battle
Vikinger hey hritvik died?
"I promise you my son that one day the whole world will know and fear Ivar The Boneless." - King Ragnar
So stupid. Manchild.
HXNZ I beg to differ
He was a bitch
Ragnar must be proud on Ivar
You do not think like a madman you are unpredictable and that will serve you well
LOVE how Bjorn's eyes fill with fear and despair when he sees Ivar is not afraid to die and takes on the arrows willingly.
Kyoko Genesis It made him believe the gods were protecting him
He's afraid. He just thinks he's not.
@@migueltigrelazothat doesn’t make sense 💀💀💀 but ayyy whatever u say
@@OXO__ Ivar knows his meatriders would raise up their shields for him. You're the one who don't make any sense. Goofy. Did you see how Bjorn died? Showed Ivar how to take the arrows properly. Died a Legend. How did Ivar died again?? Killed by a Saxon peasant? Ivar's last words: "I am afraid." 🤡🤡🤡
@@OXO__ Ivar literally told that peasant who killed him "Do not be afraid." then as he starts dying he says "I am afraid." a clear definition of "He's afraid. He just thinks he's not." Goofy. What ever you say tho. Keep riding
1:10 I loved how Björn's face go wtf after seeing Ivar's warcry. I think he's starting to fear Ivar now.
I don't think Bjorn fears anyone or anything frankly. He's more realising how unhinged the guy is and what it's going to take to slaughter him. Most of Ragnar's sons have 1 or 2 of his qualities, Ivar included. Only Bjorn seems to be rounded as a man. Ivar is cunning and ruthless yes, but glaringly weak in other areas-and that's mot meaning his mobility.
"RETREAT!!!"
dandini0698 They are all very religious and to him it was a look of shock and possibly fear that the gods are protecting Ivar
Dennis McIntosh
It was the symbolism behind that scene.
But Ivar dont do that, its ALL Bjorn mind. look in the Next scene, nobody dead in the place of ivar
I love that look of disbelief and true fear in Bjorns eyes as Ivar just dares the arrows to hit him and none do. Bjorn can't believe what he is seeing. His whole life the "gods" have protected him, people thought he couldn't be killed. But here is Ivar laughing at him and death and Bjorn is truly dismayed.
Ivar was at his pinnacle here. As a commander inspiring his men with such intensity they would follow him straight to Valhalla with no questions. He walked on pure hatred alone. He stared down a volley of arrows and laughed as they fell upon him. Bjorn had nothing to offer him here and never did through his own means. In their first battle Ivar beat himself, recalling a 3rd of his men, Bjorn did nothing strategically (even having made an alliance to bolster his forces, a common theme for Bjorn which Ivar only did once with Rollo, given he was alone with the Rus and did nothing to strengthen their numbers). In the 2nd fight Bjorn made the opposite mistake, bringing his entire forces because of Rollo's involvement which left Kattegat unprotected. He only beat Ivar in Kattegat, after being thoroughly trounced, because of Freydis. He was soundly beaten in the first battle with the Rus and Ivar. And then when he beat Ivar and the Rus, he only did so with the Kings and Queens sudden arrival (as Ivar did with Rollo). Twice Ivar beat Bjorn through the strength of his strategy while Bjorn never beat Ivar with his strategy. Bjorn was a warrior and, at best, a leader but never a good tactical commander.
The scene at 1:15 actually shows, Odin is with Team Ivar.
But how come in s6 ep.20 when he said Allfather speak to me Odin didn’t answer him?
The look of absolute shock and terror on Bjorn's face when he realizes that the gods chose Ivar that day ties it all together.
@Sjeng did they leave ragnar ?
The gods were with him Cause they knew lagartha killed aslug for a crime she herself committed, Ivar was in the right
Best scene in the whole series, My Man Ivar standing there screaming defiance as arrows land all around him, kill a few near him but miss him. The look on Bjorn's face tells it all. IVAR MUST BE PROTECTED BY THE GODS! Then Ivar signals the charge of the Franks!
You must be idiot if this is best scene in the WHOLE SERIES for you...
Ķita Cvijeca why must he? He simply has a different opinion than yours
lol the gods protecting him its called plot armor theres noways that everyone around u dies from the arrows but you survive lol
tim malo Anyone doing anything in any show is plot armor lol. Especially in a show where Odin has actively made his presence known, it's not outrageous for Bjorn or the audience to make that assumption that he has their favor
Tom 836 oh shit I didn't realize Bjorn made that face because of that. Ivar raised his hands like the gods wouldn't allow him to die also..good catch
Love how everyone is running back retreating and harald is just sending his brother halfdan to valhalla like nothing else is happening😂😂
Pretty sure he was on Ivar's side
@1:25 just when I thought I wouldn’t see another subtle, but badass way to signal a charge. Bjorn at the Paris battle set that bar high.
1:21 when she says let’s just be friends
Hahahha
Don’t you mean he? Please rewrite that
Yah so true 😂
Jorge Funes jr just stfu if u don’t get it
"Be ruthless"
"Some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn." = IVAR!
Driftwood Stranger best thing I ever seen written, “some people just wants to see the world burn”, I can agree with that.
@@Honored.Buddah that's batmans
1:33 I just love seeing the bit where Ivar is smiling as the Franks charge loudly into the battle
Aslaug smiles looking at him, he's the only one who deserves being called a man for his sacred revenge
u bet she is a happy mom n wife.... Woman made her pick and look what a monster he has become... :/ Picked the best man for life... picked the best child for the world... amazing choices both of them...
Aslaug's a bitch
as Ívarr said, "YOU CAN'T KILL ME! I AM IVAR THE BONELESS!!!!!!" I team with Ivarr
Historically Ivar was never beaten in battle. I hope the show can for once remain accurate in historical waters, I felt they did a better job of that with Ragnar who is half myth... Geez
The show is more trying to tell it's own story with people who existed in the past but weren't always connected. It's trying to entertain rather than inform.
Didn't he die in battle?
Al not big gay tho he died of a terrible disease
Historicly Bjron was the son of Asalug. Lagerta couldn’t conceive any child thats why Ragner left her for a powerful well born girl.
another armchair historian cry about the show
That scream when the arrows come.... love it!!! I just may love him lol
Ivar The Bonless the best chapter in the show so far.
Star SevenBG he may be the best chapter but he is not the best character.
The most intresting chapter and for me he is the best chapter. But there were and are also great chapters like Rollo,Floki, Ecbert,Ragnar,Harald, and Bishop Headmund that I am or i was intresting in.
Star SevenBG
"Other" great characters like "Ragnar", BRUH, are you serious?
Are you saying Ragnar < Ivar?
U clearly missed the seasons before
Well Ragnar did endorse Ivar... Its only fitting he is better than him...
1:11 is the proof Odin was on Ivar's side.
When ivar gives the order to the franks u can clearly see he still has a large force of his own man standing at his back . so maybe he calculated he could win the war , but since he could sacrifice less man he used the franks .
What did Bjorn say when he said archers what did he say after it
@@user-zx4xj4gt2y ARCHERS! Let your arrows fall on them like rain.. kill them!!!
@@user-zx4xj4gt2y " let the arrows fall like rain around them!!!!! Kill them!!!!"
Yeah he was saving his men so he could take kattegut
Yeah he was going to win regardless but the franks came
Those trees from 2:35 reminds me those trees from the first episode of the first season where Ragnar was fighting with his brother
Damn Ivar is a clever, cunning and confident motherfucker, I mean, he could take on The White Walkers at this point and probably still win
He didn't really do anything he just had another army
@@Orcbandit’s tactics bro he saved those reversed armies for backup use your brain
Every scene with Ivar is epic
Love him sooo much
Seripusly that little laugh he did was perfect
1:21 I love that fear in his eyes
Ivar is so badass
HeartWolffen That and More my friend, that and more...
"Be Ruthless"
ivar pussy
Plot armour...
MrSprejus1 plot armour called history
Ivar the only one of Ragnar's sons (of Aslaug) who has the pride and dignity to revenge his mother.
Exactly
Ubbe tried to twice as well in Season 4 but sadly began forgetting about his anger towards Lagertha from Season 5.
Don't mess with Ivar the Boneless! He is harder to kill than a cockroach, and he's insane!
Sarah Gray 😂😂💯
Lmfao best comment, though Lagertha is also harder to kill than a cockroach so they have that in common.
Sarah Gray lagertha is worse than that. She is almost 60 years old and she is still fighting 😥
jaca van heesch i doubt it, Bjorn was already older than 18 before Alfred was even conceived.
jaca van heesch and when did they write that?
Encore une scène iconique. Quand Ivar reste immobile et qu'aucune flèche de l'atteint, c'est juste énorme. J'en ai la chair de poule à chaque fois. Ivar c'est vraiment le personnage le plus charismatique de la série
1:10 sadly Bjron, ODIN is on Ivar's side this time.
actually odin is always ivar s side when ragnar death odin only talk with ivar and touch him
@@salihemretaskaya3469 'Cold...in the cold iron earth...Ragnar lies'.
IVARR, he is my favourite character since ragnar died and floki left.
Uh... That Viking on Ivar's left at 1:25 the one on the right of the screen with the bald head and forked beard... He's been here since season 1! He was one of earl Haraldson's men that assaulted and captured Rollo before Ragnar killed him, in season 3 he was one of the dancing Vikings in the scene where Floki arrives to kill Athelstan. He was one of the Vikings that went into Paris bearing Ragnar's casket. And now he's here! And still looks the same as in season 1 ! This is one amazingly ageless Viking! Man will he have some stories to tell !
Kris Norge Hahaha exactly This dude know Ragnar and co even before they become famous he fought in every battle with Ragnar after he become a Jarl
He Survived the entire show 🤯 I was rooting for him every battle Him and the other one that picked up the rope and tied it to the horses at Paris also carried Ragnars casket, beat up Rollo at the bar after Siggys death, was just chilling when the queen was stabbing the uncles head and lastly placed the last Stone on Bjorn’s Tomb
1:10 this is my favorite scene because Ivar is looking badass and Bjorns face is priceless
I think Ivar’s greatest strength is that he is unpredictable. Like Ragnar Said, no one kan predict What he plans and What he’ll do. It’s not like he is a excellent tactician.
Bjorn - What's in the God's protection is going on ...
Ivar - I'm invincible ...
Lagertha acted tough bc of her own strength as a shieldmaiden, ragbars first wife and her son never believing aslaug’s sons could be better in any way than hers. The confidence and superiority kicked both her and Bjorn in the ass
I've seen that old guy on the right of Ivar in the background so many times since season 1
That old dude was first Ragnars bodyguard then after hes dead he became ubbe and Ivars hahaha
May Halfdan, Guthrum and Astrid all rest in Valhalla, they have fought great today and died with honor
Valhalla awaits you brothers and sisters
Fought ? Astrid didn't fight Legertha, well she swung, and then died lol, Halfdan ? Let is brother get a free shot, good fight lol the other boring character, Guthrum at least fought a bit but maybe should of trained with Bjornn instead of his mom lol
Dude...stop being so sentimental, it's just a damn tv show lol
they all got rekt and didn't really put up a fight against the people who killed them.
Well... this show has made people these days belives in Old Norse Gods again... 👏
Not even that, such useless characters at that. I understand if you said this to Ragnar, Rollo, or his sons, but this is just pathetic.
Why is nobody talking about how all the bodies and people around ivar just dissappear after the arrow scene 😂
"Soon you will get to live in Valhalla with your brave and great father Jal brog "
Ivar the king 👏🏽👏🏽💪🏽
He has gone way too crazy and evil though
Jorge Funes jr Because he’s a true Viking and leader
Ivar’s demonic laugh goddamn
1:20 when someone takes the seat you wanted to take in the train
1:53 When there's tonnes of booths with two seats free but someone walks up to take the one seat next to you and box you in.
Team Ivar for life. I'm waiting for the day he slays Lagertha.
He won thanks to Rollo. Even I could defat Julius Cesar and Alexander the Great with billions of French soldiers as a reserve. Strong of numbers.
Bernard Caius
I agree, take a look at 1:49 you can see millions of Frankish soldiers.
Except Caesar did conquer Gaul and Alexander dealt with Egypt, Persia and India. Cultures actually known for fielding masses of troops.
1:32 , pause it, thanks to Rollo he didn't have to send his entire army to fight, take a look at the right side , there's more Vikings, not a lot like Rollo's army but yea
Angel Ortiz well said my friend, these haters act like the franks did all the fighting, he literally had his army fight them and right at the very end sent in the hundred/thousands of his Frankish troops to force bjorn to retreat
@@angelortiz1825 of course there are more vikings they are in their land. They are only about half as many byt combined with Ivars forces they had a very large advantage.
Sometimes I forget he’s really younger than he portrays, playing Bjorn, lol. Amazing how he’s layered the character a bit to seem older. Voice, hair, huskiness.
1:25 this is so badass
I love Ivar. Hes seriously the best part of the show 😊
Not to worry, Rollo's coming to fight the winner. Gets rid of his most formidable enemies in one battle. Smart guy. That's probably why they have statues of him in Normandy, France.
fireworm678 that's not why Rollo is going back.
Who knows, Rollo could betray Ivar just like he did to Ragnar lol
NuTTo117 What purpose would he have to help Ivar then? He would know they are at war, it would be smarter to wait for them to deplete their forces then destroy the winner, if that was the plan.
you do understand Ivar later on rules the kingdom of dublin till 873 b.c right ?. so whatever rollo does won;t be anything major
fireworm678 the reason they have statues of Rollo is because hes the first duke of normandy. Not to mention a viking, not only that but his family bloodline still runs through many powerful people today, from william the conquerer to the british royal family.
1:07 Ivar is so feared and bad-ass he not only scares every living human that will ever see him but even arrows fear him.
The gods are protecting him not bjorn
Ivar is a baddass but no-one beats the level of badassery of legendary Vlad The Impaler.
" I am the rightful queen of Kattagat - Lagerta " .😂😂😂😂 Ivar took that seriously.
1:11 Wilhelm!
Lol 😂😂😂
Ivar is hella bad! Freaking insane!!! Love him to death.
If the fear on lagertha’s eyes!!
I knew Ivar would WIN all!!!!
Hell Yeah #teamivar
cause you red it on wikipedia
You guys expect too much from this show. You guys expect Ivar to be biggest genius. Maybe he did have a plan. But why would he have to use it when has the French by his side? Why make it look like he’s going to betray everyone when he can just easily win the war then have to worry about Harald. Man, people act like Ivar is the smartest person to grace the earth. Yeah he’s a genius and a tactician but he’s not always going to be right and sometimes he will lose. I don’t understand why people are hating on this season too and how it’s gone. For me it’s been probably the best or joint with season 4b. The fight scenes have been amazing, the budget and the acting have been amazing. Not all episodes have to be absolutely amazing to make this season amazing. Every single episode has been good enough to call this season amazing. The more watched Vikings becomes, the more hate it will get I guess. And you guys to need to understand that this episode was based on a lot of visions and what they thought during the battle. For me it was amazing especially because of how it was done. We have never seen a battle like this which is different. And the reason they done these flashbacks and visions was to show us how this is a CIVIL WAR. If it was against the English then all of this would be nonsense. But brothers are fighting brothers. Harald killed Halfdan. Lagertha killed someone she loved dearly. Hvitserk killed Torvis child. Bjorns princess was killed and king Svase was dead too. This battle was to show us that it will bring tragedy and death between the Vikings so it was more of a sad battle hence the way they made the episode. Hopefully I’ve helped people understand that this season has been fantastic and this episode was truly great too.
Thank God I’m not the only one who thought the last episode was very good and appreciate the unique directing. It’s a battle of human feelings not just a random slaughter, it adds more drama. A bold artistic choice and I really appreciate that.
You summed it up. One of the best season so far, along with season 2 imo. Philosophical aspect is back in the show with the civil war and the religion war. with the extra bonus from ruthless and massive battles. Ivar and the Great Heathen Army era was something I was eager for since season 1. I did not disappoint thus far.
random entertainment well said 👍👏👏👏👏
ikr i think there is an influx of game of throne fans who go into expecting it to be the same
random entertainment I agree.
1:30 love how not one of Ivar's soldiers knock him or even bump him while thousands run right past him 👌fear maybe
So many bodies in the battlefield!!! So glorious!!!
This war had alot of inner conflict in the characters, everyone was fighting a war with their inner problems and decisions,i really liked it.It was Very poetic :) thanks For the upload!!
Joseph flybox finally someone appreciating a good thing
I agree, it was great.
In this alternate timeline, Earl Ragnar (Not Lothbrok) took Brida and I away to live in Kattegat and Kjartarn and Sven sided with Ivar. After they took Kattegat, that's when they took my sister Thyra.
He must thank Francia for such victory. ;-)
"ARCHERS! LET YOUR ARROWS FALL ON THEM LIKE RAIN!"
2:50 so cheeky and shameless Ivar saying "lagertha coward". He is the fucking coward when he went to his traitor uncle to call help pfff what a successor to the protagonist!!
Ivar knows if he wants to win he has to play the hard way. And so he did. And so he won…and your bjorn ran away with his tail between his legs
All lagertha had to do is accept Ivars one on one fight. At least then she would be able to kill him.
Carlos Ramirez but then Ivar couldn’t have his pissing match and stoke his ego. This civil war didn’t have to happen.
Carlos Ramirez he tried that, she refused
SlayerPayback
Exactlty, or throw an axe before she would have attempted her first step.
Here is how a foght between Ivar and Lagertha would go: Ivar stands with the help of his braces.
Lagertha underestimating him and seeking to humiliate rather than kill him will charge in and knock him down with her shield.
Lagertha will laugh arrogantly only to have one of her tendons severed.
Ivar will blood eagle her from there.
Beni Habibi yeah ok.
1:10 that wilhem scream
Bjorn always loses to Ivar. Ivar was the true son of Ragnar and Bjorn belonged to Rollo. Lagertha killed Aslaug out of jealousy taking wrong decisions herself.
Are you sure ?
Bjorn and Rollo don't look alike
@@SOLTAN-kv8gb they actually do have same nose and face. But the Seer confirmed bjorn was ragnars son. Taking his word for it 😂
I love me some Wilhelm Scream
“You are Ivar, son of Ragnar Lothbrok...and there are many that fear you.”
I don’t understand why people compare Geoffrey or Ramsay to Ivar. Maybe Ramsay cos he was crazy but Ivar for me is on another level.
Ivar 1%heart 99% balls 😎
He won with his great strategy of having twice the men... cool
fritzmaker That's exactly why he didn't use any strategy in this battle. He knew that he's men will overwhelm Lagerthas.
Don’t bring up that facts
Bjorne attack Kattegat with 3 great king while ivar was alone at one side still ivar defend them
He didn't have twice the men. According to the fandom Ivar had 3200 soldiers and Lagertha had 2700. When you see this numbers you can't really say Ivar won because of numbers.
They had to add the Wilhelm scream lol
I can't help but think that more than Ivar's sheer WTF insanity, that lazy super confident swagger terrified his opponents into defeat. I'm sure the stories that precede him paint him as a cross between a warrior-God & the monsters you feared as children, but then to finally be face-to-face with the man only to see with your own eyes that HE STANDS UNSCATHED IN A HAILSTORM OF ARROWS. That's some next-level, favored by the gods shit. It would have to kind of feel like suicide.
Ivar, my type of man.
I love this part fking style and cool 🔥🔥🔥
Can you imagine if I Ivar had legs that worked.
1:11 "willhelm scream"
Did anyone else hear the "Willhem scream" when the arrows were raining down on Ivar ? Haha
"Let your arrows fall on them like rain!!!
KILL THEM!!!"
I just noticed at 1:30 the old bearded bald man beside Ivar is one of the bodyguards of Earl Haraldson back in Season 1 then to Ragnar and to his son Ivar. He must be very old at this point considering there has been time-skips for each seasons. Respect to him! he deserves to be in Valhalla drinking mead with the gods and his fallen brothers.
If he was 30 at the first season then he is Atleast 50 at this scene
You mad Bjorn ? LOL
@1:10 Arrows rained down on Ivar and his men. Several were hit. Multiple arrows landed on their shields.
@1:25 All the arrows are gone. Not even on the shields. All the men hit with arrows are gone too.
Manny Lugz 2 different scenes.
Its the same scene, same location.
Agree, but the scene with arrows was a vision, not real. And that's a difference between these two scenes 😊
Zhuy Linn Vision of Bjorn rigth?
Manny Lugz why’s everyone so retarded, it’s called “moments of vision” the whole battle goes from character to character and what they see
Dam the French troops even killed friendly Vikings
Did bjorn ever have the gods on his side because I dont think he ever did and that his few victories was in his control not the gods
You can tell how into the fight a Nord is by the way his or her braids flail in combat
All the people complaining about the dead bodies disappearing around Ivar. FFS you dont know any cinematography. Can't you recognize a 15-30 minute time jump when you see one?
When your a badass and you know it
1:11 Sounds like the Wilhelm Scream
Это,блядь,шедевр,особенно момент со стрелами,завидую тем кто только начинает смотреть
Where do I go to watch season 5 of Vikings because I literally just watched the last episode of season 4 and can’t find season 5
ALL HAIL TO THE KING IVAR THE BONELESS!!!11
I have broke the replay button
Ahahaha Ivar is badasss
My baddie baby Ivar. He is crazy bad! What's not to love?! Smh
The arrows scene was the best
Anyone notice that the extra on ivars right has been in since earl harladson was still around
1:25 -- Where did all the arrows, and people who were just struck down go.??
1:11 the wilhelm scream
Ivar is a smart king
