    As a Kenyan who has lived in Rwanda, I agree Nairobi and Kigali sit on both extremes. Kigali for order, cleanliness and security, Nairobi for facilities, resilience and fast pace; people are always on the move chasing the paper. Less options for things to do and places to go in Kigali, in Nairobi one is spoilt for choice. The tip for Nairobi is to remain streetwise and stay alert. Great city, only downside (atleast compared to Kigali) is it could be cleaner and the security could be better in key sections like the CBD. Welcome to Nairobi, a great city!

    Glad that you had a nice time. The analogy of Atlanta+Philly=Nairobi is so funny yet spot on! 😂
    Yes, Nairobi is a pleasant surprise to seamlessly transition from the West into Africa without losing the conveniences yet immersing into culture shocks all in one package.
    Right now it's cold season and soon it'll be back to it's mild self which many call the "healthiest weather" on the planet!
    The strategic location of Nairobi on the global travel routes makes it an ideal place to witness every aspect of human advancements and follies.
    It's usually joked; Breakfast in Nairobi, Lunch in Dubai... Breakfast in Nairobi, Dinner in London or New York and as such, one can access anything under the sun in Nairobi as in those other global cities.
    Nairobi Fun Facts;
    *Just recently,Two Rivers Mall has been classified and elevated into a Special Economic Zone within Nairobi to Live,Work,Shop and Play. Already hotels, apartments and office blocks are coming up within the complex to complement the mall.
    *There's Nairobi Pizza and Burger themed months where participating outlets offer sales, discounts and free samplings.
    *Nairobi hosting one of the 4 global UN HQs (UNON,UNEP) outside New York, Geneva and Vienna, it has the highest concentration of foreign diplomatic missions, global agencies and corporates on the continent.
    *As the "Green City in the Sun" and the "Safari Capital of the world", Nairobi lives true to it's moniker with vast green spaces and natural parks. Nairobi National Park being the jewel.
    *Wilson airport, Nairobi's domestic airport is the busiest general aviation airfield in Africa. Charter flights, air ambulances, flying schools, filming and news reel helicopters, air sprays, police and rescue helicopters, air safaris and all manner of light aviation is concentrated here.
    But the best tip is to discover Nairobi at ones own pace and liking because it has everything for everyone!

    Yes there are many Kenyan restaurants. Most of the businesses are owned by Kenyans. Africa is coming up. it's not like the one depicted on movies (like coming to America 😂). Countries like Kenya, South Africa, Ghana, Ethiopia, Botswana , Rwanda Namibia Tanzania and others will keep on surprising people.

    @ResidentialTourists we warned you that Nairobi will be a complete contrast from Mombasa and even Kigali. Now you have experienced it though just a tip of the iceberg. There are tonnes to do in Nairobi. A lively and lovely nightlife with all sorts of establishments, high end restaurants, lots of nature and parks and of course the friendly, entrepreneurial people. I'd suggest you make Nairobi your base and escape to Mombasa anytime you miss the ocean and the warm weather. In time, you will love Nairobi weather, it is not that cold apart from June and July because that is the cold season throughout Kenya. Mornings and evenings are cool amd daytimes are normally warm with a constant breeze tjat blows through Nairobi. PS: My only qualm is that you shot the video in 360p and that made it a bit grainy/blurry. Hopefully you can check on that. For good quality videos at least shoot in 760p/HD. Looking forward to the next video.

    Now my hats off to you for leaving the empasa how ever you spell it- home cause Moma was like in a candy store - READY TO SHOP. Those two malls alone are amazing. I'm laughing I told my brother about Africa and he tells me to let him know how I make out because there's no way he's coming to Africa. I can't wait to show him with pics so I can shut his young mouth up. If I told you my age ya'll would naaaaaaaaaa LOL but he's the youngest - set in his ways hint hint. I look forward to your next - Peace and Thumbs Up

    This is the reason why I have been hesitant to watch your videos since we've been back. I knew that I would miss being there.......When we went to Nairobi in 2019, we weren't looking to move to Africa, so we didn't look at it as a place to move. We enjoyed our time, and would have moved there if we didn't move to Rwanda. Now I can't wait to get there to visit you guys next year, and move in the future!!

    Love the new intro!!!! Adillah looks happier being at the mall than at the beach; her kid at heart side is in full effect🤣 It's hard to wrap my mind around the fact that this is in Africa. Did you see malls in Mombasa? I detest heat and humidity, so Nairobi is looking better and better; I wonder if it would be too busy for a retiree? Would love to see an apartment review/rent comparison, especially high rises?

    Laughing at her excitement. I know the feeling. Hadn't had a Cinnabon in 6 years and the first time i saw a Cinnabon shop whilst in Dubai, I totally lost it. Bought a pack to eat there and then, and a pack to take home. I'm having Subway envy now!!

    Curious: You obviously love Nairobi, what made you choose Mombasa over Nairobi? Almost 40 years ago l roamed the world for a time, but oddly Africa wasn't on my radar back then. Your 74 year old guest on your other video awaken my spirit to travel again (instead of traveling vicariously)! Africa is truly on the radar this time! Thank you to the both of you and your guest!
