As a Kenyan who has lived in Rwanda, I agree Nairobi and Kigali sit on both extremes. Kigali for order, cleanliness and security, Nairobi for facilities, resilience and fast pace; people are always on the move chasing the paper. Less options for things to do and places to go in Kigali, in Nairobi one is spoilt for choice. The tip for Nairobi is to remain streetwise and stay alert. @ResidentialTourists we warned you that Nairobi will be a complete contrast from Mombasa and even Kigali. Now you have experienced it though just a tip of the iceberg. There are tonnes to do in Nairobi. A lively and lovely nightlife with all sorts of establishments, high end restaurants, lots of nature and parks and of course the friendly, entrepreneurial people. I'd suggest you make Nairobi your base and escape to Mombasa anytime you miss the ocean and the warm weather. In time, you will love Nairobi weather, it is not that cold apart from June and July because that is the cold season throughout Kenya. Mornings and evenings are cool amd daytimes are normally warm with a constant breeze tjat blows through Nairobi. PS: My only qualm is that you shot the video in 360p and that made it a bit grainy/blurry. Hopefully you can check on that. For good quality videos at least shoot in 760p/HD. Looking forward to the next video.

Hi Denise what is the name of the company? And where did they drop you in Nairobi?
@@lwmburu5 , Riverside car hire and shuttle service. Arusha office, Sokoine Road
Thank you, we plan to try that too
@@lwmburu5 Riverside Shuttles pick up/drop off point in Nairobi; Parkside Hotel on Monrovia Street, opposite Jevanjee Gardens
I'm confused.... what was the Scam?
I heard Adilah say they leaving 2 days early....
But missed something
Karibu Nyumbani(Welcome Home)
It's known as Magical Kenya 🇰🇪 and you're just getting started. It gets addictive as you stay.
And sorry for the scam experience.
It is good to see the girls smiling and having fun.
Don't worry we are almost in August and the cold season is almost over(it falls between May and July)next time you visit, you will definitely enjoy the weather.
We must never characterize underdevelopment as inherently African .It is not!. African culture has nothing to do with poor infrastructure and a lack of public utilities !I am a African living in the US and my children where raised in my culture regardless of where we lived ! Respect for parents and elders and loyalty to the family unit that is African culture ! The lack we see in Africa including my country Nigeria is due to corruption and mismanagement of our resources . Its nice to see an African country with developed infrastructure !
God Bless!!
I've seen U.S. people get yelled at for "complaining" about the LACK of *Stable Electricity & Water* when they visited [African Country].
The Africans criticize them for their *"WESTERN MINDSET.*
How does reliable *WATER & ELECTRICITY* belong exclusively to "THE WEST"?
🙄🙄
You left out colonialism and constant melding from the west. Conflict and confusion on the continent is by design. The west puppet masters are pure evil!!
Ok.... Now im finally proud to be Kenyan... I have and always being a proud African.... But you just said as Kenyans we are makean edge... Thanks one love one Africa
Ya'll getting me very hyped up! I am having a better understanding of how it is. I'm gonna keep thanking you - because this may lead me somewhere!
Hope you guys enjoyed momabasa in general....and sorry for the little inconvenience you experienced while there.
And you can go ice skating at the Panari hotel which is located on the highway between the main airport (JKIA) and the city centre. Karibu Kenya and say hi to grandma and the kids.❤❤
Omg!
@@TheResidentialTourists Yes, and they offer skating lessons. This might be of interest to your kids. Just google "Ice skating at Panari hotel".
That's where we also have Kenya's Ice Lions the national ice hockey team. They play ice hockey giants like Canadian and US teams for benchmarking
Next time you come to Nairobi visit the Village Market Mall. It's not the biggest mall but it's definitely the flashiest and most upmarket of all malls in Kenya. Nairobi has all the comforts and conveniences of a global city.
Destination, Kenya, for this guy.
Man I’m saw excited. We are coming in April 2024! Jambo! Asante asa
Karibu!
Had been waiting for you to experience Nairobi.. I knew you'd love love it.
I love your videos . Keep posting more.
My condolences on the passing of your mum, may her soul RIP.
I loved your video, the excitement is contagious, grandma looks happy too! Share more and enjoy Kenya, one of the most diverse countries on the continent, with so much to see and do.
Plan to visit the other two cities, Kisumu and Nakuru and sample the difference.
Have fun!
So sad. RIP. Visited my parents yesterday here in Nairobi. So happy.
Yes there are many Kenyan restaurants. Most of the businesses are owned by Kenyans. Africa is coming up. it's not like the one depicted on movies (like coming to America 😂). Countries like Kenya, South Africa, Ghana, Ethiopia, Botswana , Rwanda Namibia Tanzania and others will keep on surprising people.
I absolutely love Nairobi!!
There is something unique about Kenya.
Kenys looks AWESOME!!! ❤❤❤
It is
Nairobi is cold, if you want to go on Safari, dress warm because those places are also cold. If you look at going on Safari, go in the off season for great deals. Looking forward to seeing more of your adventures in Kenya.
Hi, I like the homey feeling around you. A lot of happiness, relaxed feeling. You have caught the Nairobi fever called hospitality. Thank you for such a nice video. Love from Nairobi
Kenyan in the US and u’all made me miss home 😊
Kenyais a beautiful place this will be my third year going they're going in for Christmas and New Year's Lovett planning on moving there one day also been to Mombasa nice place
The crazy part of it all NO CRAZY KARENS FOLLOWING YOU AROUND GIVING YOU AN EVIL EYE
welcome to paradise
Great point
Hey ya'll thanks for taking us along and glad you got that wide screen together.
Now my hats off to you for leaving the empasa how ever you spell it- home cause Moma was like in a candy store - READY TO SHOP. Those two malls alone are amazing. I'm laughing I told my brother about Africa and he tells me to let him know how I make out because there's no way he's coming to Africa. I can't wait to show him with pics so I can shut his young mouth up. If I told you my age ya'll would naaaaaaaaaa LOL but he's the youngest - set in his ways hint hint. I look forward to your next - Peace and Thumbs Up
🤩
There is also another mall in Nairobi at a place called Eastleigh, the mall is call BBS mall it is very huge too😊
Thanks for visiting mother land. But remember, the entire Africa is on the rise. Fantastic development in the entire Africa.
This is the reason why I have been hesitant to watch your videos since we've been back. I knew that I would miss being there.......When we went to Nairobi in 2019, we weren't looking to move to Africa, so we didn't look at it as a place to move. We enjoyed our time, and would have moved there if we didn't move to Rwanda. Now I can't wait to get there to visit you guys next year, and move in the future!!
Kenya is a breath of fresh air! Can’t wait for y’all to come.
Nairobi is insane and there is always something to do and many activities for the kids also
Yesss
Welcome to Kenya enjoy yourselves in our beautiful country we love visitors and feel at home. we love the appreciation you have for our country.
Love the new intro!!!! Adillah looks happier being at the mall than at the beach; her kid at heart side is in full effect🤣 It's hard to wrap my mind around the fact that this is in Africa. Did you see malls in Mombasa? I detest heat and humidity, so Nairobi is looking better and better; I wonder if it would be too busy for a retiree? Would love to see an apartment review/rent comparison, especially high rises?
Yes ma’am we are working on doing an apartment review now. We have some nice malls in mombasa too. Their not as big as Nairobi but definitely nice.
I’m so happy to see you All soooo happy!
I just subscribed I loved how you were all excited. The wife was transformed into a little baby gal,,,am sure the kids loved it and would be even more thrilled over the weekends
🤩
Wifey going nuts in the mall tells me you hadn't realized how much you missed the conveniences of America.......aaaand she said so herself.
Laughing at her excitement. I know the feeling. Hadn't had a Cinnabon in 6 years and the first time i saw a Cinnabon shop whilst in Dubai, I totally lost it. Bought a pack to eat there and then, and a pack to take home. I'm having Subway envy now!!
Omg I need some Cinnabon with extra icing!!
Please check out the Village Market, it's a really nice mall. I like it better than Two Rivers. Thanks for loving our country.
BBS mall in Eastleigh is the current biggest mall in East Africa and just opened recently as well you guys should try and vist Village Market mall as well as Giraffe center where you can feed the giraffes.
Got it all on our list!
village market mall will blow your mind!
West Gate mall you visited is the rebuilt one. The old one was destroyed by terrorists in Sept 2013. Many people died there. I get the chills whenever I pass by or near there!
😳😳
Yes sir that's why when u see all those security checks at the mall and the airports and trains please understand 😂😂
Your intention?

@@HughJass-313Hard not to be if you knew what happened
First, I have to visit my fellow Yank who lives in AU, then I'm coming your way in Kenya. As a Floridian, the cold worries me.
After July the cold subsides as our "winter" comes to an end and it becomes warmer then hot as the year winds up.
You will be okay.
Karibu/welcome.
Curious: You obviously love Nairobi, what made you choose Mombasa over Nairobi? Almost 40 years ago l roamed the world for a time, but oddly Africa wasn't on my radar back then. Your 74 year old guest on your other video awaken my spirit to travel again (instead of traveling vicariously)! Africa is truly on the radar this time! Thank you to the both of you and your guest!
Thank you, we’re about that beach life right now 🥰

You guys should check out Village market - another smaller mall w/ great activities & eateries. I actually prefer it to Westgate mall. Your kids would love it there.
Wonderful family... i feel the best mall for you will be village Market
There is also *ice skating* at Panari sky center along Mombasa road in Nairobi.
Wow Nairobi got lots to offer!! Did you find African food joints and store!! What food did you like most! Also visit mondo grills
Welcome to Kenya 🇰🇪 and in Nairobi there’s so a lot to see, visit and enjoy. Y’all came during our winter but it’s also quite sunny ☀️ with mixed weather but more of sunshine.. #Remnant254
Welcome back home guys! East or west home is always best!
Really enjoy your vlogs. The cold is due to the elevation.
Welcome home..enjoy our beloved country
THANK YOU for sharing this beautiful experience!!! I feel better about you guys being there now! When you guys were in Rwanda, I was like, I can struggle here! Looking forward to more videos 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you sis
I would have reminded you guys to bring your North Faces traveling from mombasa to Nairobi in JULY. Thanks for sharing.
I'm glad you're enjoying Kenya my home country. Its a lovely city with a lot of places to enjoy. Be careful not to be scammed again guys, don't trust the people in the streets 100%, if you have to enquire something, go ask the shop attendants & not the people in the streets.
Really happy you enjoyed Kenya! Check out Mt Kenya, and Western Kenya!
Great video family. Lenox levels? May travel there in January. Thank you for sharing this
You guys seem so happy there
Wow, thanks for the education.
Nuff respect
keep warm keep warm, July is Nairobi's coldest month. Nairobi got more than 15 serious malls
Wow beautiful!
