This proves Daniel was meant to be with Lindsay from day 1. His mature self would definitely go after Lindsay once his “dirtbag” phase ended and with that his toxic relationship with Kim. Daniel was always smart he just needed someone like Lindsay in his life to give him that little spark of hope.
If you watched Episode 4 and have any empathy you wouldn't want Kim to be cheated on. Espacially not with the only friend she ever had. Just remember her family. She has no one but Daniel. And Lindsay is her only friend....
