Lisbon has a distinctive culture, history and architecture as well!
Just a "fun" fact. Most portuguese never eat grilled sardines off the summer season, because sardines have it's season. These sardines are not fresh, they are from the freezer, because fresh sardines at this time of the year have no fat in it, which leaves it kind of tasteless.
Oh my gosh. BEAUTIFUL. I have to say it reminds me of parts of Southern Italy. That’s high praise in my book. The food looks amazing. Fantastic music.

Loved Lisbon! We were there this past November and fell in love with the city. You have to show some of the foods the city is known for, especially the seafood like percebes! Also really nice to see/hear Carol speaking more and describing things in the vlog, great job!!

Amazing and beautiful. I'm from PR and I come from a family of musicians. The melody the woman sang to at the restaurant, is exactly the sane style my dad and our family play. Only difference, the lyrics were in another language. Singers had a amazing voices. Thank you for your videos. I can travel vicariously though your experiences.

Nice to see you back doing Portugal and nice to hear a Northern accent! The ruined Carmelite convent was never restored because, bizarrely, there was a current fashion in Europe for 'stately ruins'. They were thought romantic! In the end, they decided to leave it as a stately ruin and a monument to the earthquake. The earthquake was the cause of the collapse of buildings but the most damage was done by the subsequent Tsunami that wiped out the Palace and fire that engulfed the city for days.

Lisbon is indeed Beautiful and Porto also but in my opinion Setubal, Aveiro and Braga are the most beautiful cities in Portugal...Lagos and Evora are worth a visit too👍🤗

I read about that some years back. There was an earthquake tsunami and then everything burned up. It was one of the worst catastrophe ever in historical terms with humans.
