I got back into 40k recently with a Scion army but it never felt right playing a Scion only army until I found out about kill team and got the octarius box. a spec ops team of highly trained scions fits in perfectly with kill team
I haven’t broken out my Krieg boys yet, but those four “missile strike” type abilities sound pretty interesting. That bionic arm guy with the “feel no pain” ability is cool as well!
Thats my favourite part of this kill team, love how it plays right into the narrative. At first I thought id want to add 4 more troopers but after getting stuck in I like having fewer operatives on the team so the missile strikes are perfect.
I'm a noobie kill team player, been out of GW games for a decades. Seeing this was great as I got to see what the models looked like and what they can do. I think they look cool, kind of like WW1 German troops in the trenches.
I'm glad cause you made this cause I kinda kitbashed another gunner so I could have a flamer, sniper, and grenade launcher but I don't have a regular troop
Cheers for the video my good chap! I have Octarius since launch but have yet to build the Guardsmen as the amount of limited choices is a bit overwhelming, they all look so good! I think I'll go for rule of cool for now and get a second box when they release
I'm sure it's been said, but it's worth noting that the regular troopers have a GA score of 2, which in some objective based games makes all the difference.
i dont understand In death atonment... what for? if an operatives is in capacitated and use 1CP for that ploy and what? what can i do? can it move or heal? or shoot or fight again? or provide cover for other? what for?
For the Vet Guard Troopers, since they have GA2 would that mean you could basically chain all the activations of your troopers together? Or does it cap at activating 2 at a time then your opponent gets to activate a model?
Hey new to the game, and I want to build the team. But I dont know which I should chose te build out of the options. What specialists are the best and the worst?
I tend to go for rule of cool and how they look rather than which is best. But, generally plasma and meltas are powerful weapons to choose. Snipers are fun to hide and shoot with, too.
ik this video is old but still wish u would have given visual representation to the abilities and actions so we can actually understand how to use them instead of just glossin over them
No not yet. I play 40k once a week at my local game store, and once a week at home. My local store has a mini tournament next weekend but it's laid back and fun. I would like to have a go at a big tournament, though. Firestorm Games has some events coming up that I might go to later in the year.
I struggle understanding the tactical assets. Do you sacrifice an entire activation of a model for it? Do you sacrifice it's shoot action? Or is it simply... Free?
You choose a friendly operative and then treat the tactical asset as that operatives shooting action. So that operative can still perform other actions in the activation, but their shoot action is dedicated to the tactical asset.

The Scions look great and perfect for Kill Team. I like the look of the starter set for them.
I like the idea of setting the turox prime up in my deployment zone (as a terrain feature) so it's like the scions have just rolled up and jumped out
I like the old Kasrkin minatures be a great kill team but they go for silly money now.
@@Flamethrower1942 Lucky that new ones are coming out
@@longle88 Hope they are as cool as the original miniatures

Nice one, hope you're enjoying being back in the hobby!?

Awesome video on DKoK! Very informative and shows just how versatile this kill team can be. Keep up the awesome work!
Thanks, Tim! Lots more to come. Working on the Grey Knights next.

Lots of choice for sure. I stuck a couple of different weapons on a few of them so I could mix it up a bit.
I think there is a forced normal veteran that I swapped out for a grenade launchers gunner. Toughest choice was sniper or demolitions

I've got to play this kill team more, I keep going back to my Intercessors 🤣

It caps off at 2
Love your videos!
Thanks, Percy, that's awesome to hear!
Yes!!!! I have been looking forward to something like this!
Awesome! Working on the Grey Knights next.

Are the Veteran Guardsmen rules in the Compendium? Or where i can find them?
They are in the Octarius rules book.
@@tabletopskirmishgames thank you!
On the demolition veteran, do you only have 1 mine or can you do this multiple times?
Sorry if this is obvious I am very new to kill team.
theres a lot thats not obvious in kill team.

re*cough*ing A17-20 while watching XD
Can you only take one gunner
uff doesn't matter what I do, played 10 ames with these guys and al of them get whipped out by the 2 turn, really frustrating
I haven't played them much. Been having a great time this month with the Ork Kommandos though

Wow those are some gamey unfun rules. Like the models though.
You just semi read the book. Na analysis, no strategic advise.
