As someone who has a very similar scheme on the forgeworld models, this looks fantastic. I can't wait to get my hands on these new minis. The resin Death Korps had great detail but the new ones just add to the already great design.

It's not better, or worse, just different. The GW video was for a battle ready model, so you can get playing real quick and have a decent looking model. This is a guide on how to paint to a more display quality. At the end of the day it's all art, and art is (Say it with me) subjective. Both tutorials achieved the end they were hoping for. @@ronindesbois9660 zandri dust has a bit of a yellowish tinge to it. However, I actually found rakarth flesh looks really good especially as a mask, gives it that leathery look
I'm glad I came across your video, I've tried painting some converted Rough riders in citadel krieg colours and it seams far too blue! Your scheme is definitely much more subtle, thank you!
Glad I found this. I'd been watching your videos on the games-workshop channel for years but stopped because they never went far enough as I'd like. These changed that!
I've felt something really off about these newer plastic sculpts after watching this video and the older 143rd regiment video, the one you did with the older FW DKOK years ago, side-by-side. It just seems... "softer" somehow, like the sculpt as no edges to it. I hate not being able to describe it better than that. Anyway, great guide! I definitely like the different choice of leathers in this one
You’re not wrong, aside from the proportions being a bit more stylized (like with the current Cadian kit), the old resin kit did have more angular edges, particularly with the gas mask.
Thanks a lot for this guide. As always, everything is at the highest level! In the future, I would very much like to see guides for painting historical miniatures. In particular on WW2. ^_^
That came out great! Definitely better than my 3D printed guys did! I don’t know what I thought this but I was kinda hoping to see how you painted the emblems (because I don’t use transfers. Or at least I haven’t yet)! It’s all good either way. I think you are now the 3rd or 4th person I’ve heard call the straps of the backpack and rifle webbing!?! Still throws me off any time I hear it though. Lol Busting out with some Spider-Krieg!!!
So, any info about the paints, will we be able to order the full package of all Duncan paints and will there be an infographic that shows how they correlate to Citadel paints?
I would love it if you'd make a parody painting video. Butchering the miniature by not thinning down paint, only 1 coat, using wrong brushes and wrong colors etc. But in the serious/professional style that all your video have. I think that would be hilarious
Thank you a lot for all those videos that made me go back into the hobby after 15 years. Two things that will likely help, give the agrax shade a really good mix. Like 2 mins of shaking then shake some more. After that a clear matt coat is a great step to de shine and protect.

Not sure how the old ones were designed, but I find most newer 3D sculpted and subsequently 3D printed have a softer edge.
Some of that I think is just the different capabilities between resin and plastic. Crisp edges don't seem to be as doable in hard plastics.
