I think the "enemy" thing might actually be a red herring. That which "obstructs the path" has no definitive connotations, because a SHIELD is also something that obstructs. Givas only attacks in response, it only responds when provoked, it's REACTIVE, not PROACTIVE. more akin to a defense mechanism than an offensive tool.
Yeah, I think the actual message is "Does this planet have my Shield. I am here to be your Shield." It's offering its services and just hasn't figured out that Arc is Earth's Givas.
It also reasonably likely it's hunting something. The message isn't meant for humans. It could be after the horn. It could also be some kind of time altering robot. Designed to cause or prevent future events.
After so many standalone episodes it’s nice to see we’re getting a two parter. And Givas is a really cool kaiju with its two heads it reminds me of the reborn gundam
Givas might actually fulfill my dream of seeing a Galactron turn good, since the show seems to be building up to Givas becoming a good guy. Plus I'm seeing some Mountain Gulliver 5 in its design as well
So Givas is evil? Why was Givas looking for a Givas? Was Givas testing Arc? Was Givas testing the humans? The "alien gesture" (W) returned. Ultra-greetings from Brazil!
I can't be the only one screaming to the siblings to just run out of the way of two giants right? 😭 Or is it just Jurassic Park taught them that T-Rexes and Kaijus can't see you if you stay still ☠️
20:20 Obviously in the Japanese broadcast, the text was accordingly so, so the thing this dub has been doing where they'll actually edit some the Japanese text into English actually has plot relevance here!
Rewatched and it makes more sense that Yuma is more correct here. First is about, IF CORRECT, "Do you have my enemy? I want to be your enemy." This doesn't sounds "I want to invade" but Givas just wants to "hunt" something. Tho this sounds more like a mistranslation as said by Bunny in the comments. GDF just assumed that after analyzing Givas is armed, they jumped the gun thinking it's an invader. Excited to know what alien Croco said to Ishido tho!
0:19, you got a robot so I gotta listen. 0:55, Connor doing some walks. 2:00, Ibara?! 2:54, now this is a story all about how my life got flipped turned upside down so I'd like to take a minute just sit right there~ 2:58, don't tell him that. Tell him 'In West Philadelphia, born and raised on the playground where I spent most of my days' ~ 3:20, I don't think Shu's still on the up and up. 4:41, it's gone out of control. 6:22, quick change. Nice one. 7:21, throw the fish banshee! 8:23, not another Galactron incident. 9:23, I'm reminded of the episode Ferryman from Captain Power. Can't forget about that. 10:31, a mode change. Just what we need. 11:41, haven't seen bleeding light in a while. 18:00, it's that shrooms alien. 21:40, great. So it is GALACTRON ALL OVER AGAIN! 24:00, oh wow! A thought provoking episode for once!
Oh my, this design on Givas, The Mechanical Colossal is so awesome! Wow, i thought that it was regular Gubila, but instead it was Oka-Gubila, the underground version of Gubila that first appear from Ultraman Trigger, The New Generation of Tiga series. Dada, the Seijin making it's roar after it's name, second the Kaiju name Zetton also do same thing, making the sound after it's name and now this one, this giant space robot, Givas, making it's roar after it's name, so amazing. Givas is completely mysterious giant space robot 🤖, cannot wait to watch the next episode to find out the answer about Givas on next Saturday soon.
Given this episode is directed by Tomonobu Koshi, it's definitely a reference. Koshi likes to insert Gundam references in his episodes whenever he can Edit: I was mistaken, apparently this episode was directed by Takesue, not Koshi
@@eh9618 yeah that one was from a Koshi-directed episode as well. And you're right, 00 seems to be his favourite series to reference, quite fitting considering the "understanding" theme of this episode
Either he said that he was meant to be their enemy, or that he said that because in that very moment the populace earth assumed him to be an enemy since arc fought him
What really confused me is a Solar System without a sun which is almost impossible. At least scientists haven't found one, yet. Though there are ones that might have a dead Red Drawf and their Planet is around a Gas Giant with lots of nature satellite (I say satellite because some of these "moons" can be the size of Planets)
So will Givas be Arc's answer to Earth Garon , Terraphaser and King Joe Custom ? His voice gives off strong Megatron vibes. Also the inclusion of a sunset battle in 2 , (and it looks like 3 if we're counting next week ) episodes looks to be another shoutout to Jack.
While dealing with a Gubila situation an extraterrestrial robot appears and was made the new target by Gubila. The robot fought anyone that fought it. Yuma after de-Ultransing (Ultraman transformation) witnesses something unexpected and that is the robot moving in front of the kids that was between it and Gubila protecting them. Yuma telling SKIP of this goes to work on analyzing the melody and at the same time Ishido got a call in from GDF meeting Mr. Numata in the process. They successfully decipher the melody uncovering a message from Givas that turns out to not be what they wanted to hear. Givas's message is "Does this planet of my enemy? If not, I'll be your enemy". This message brought Yuma into disbelief knowing it protected children from harms way which was only made worse when Ishido returns with GDF declaring enemy action from Givas. This harsh truth winds up putting a frustrated Yuma at odds with a calm and serious Ishido who was telling him to calm down while telling him what it is. Yuma who at the start of the episode believed Ishido was someone from the GDF he can truly be friends with says something incredibly hurtful to Ishido shocking not just him but his entire team who never expected that from him. Yuma realizes what he said leaves for the day to cool off regretting his irrational and hurtful words towards Ishido and unintentionally "drove a wedge" to their relationship. Ouch. At the same time, being that it's a different language it could be a case of the message being misinterpreted. At least there was some form of communication unlike in Blazar where the whole conflict started in the first place because humans shot first. Givas also never made the offensive and the few times he attacked was when it was targeted. Based on that behavior it's most likely saying it will be the planet's shield.
Givas reminds me of gundam reborns ability to transform to a two type unit the back cannon and the gundam mode and his ability is somehow close to IF it can copy attacks from its attacker
I don't know how, but I think it might be Ignis from Trigger because the silhouette on the computer in the preview looks like Trigger Dark and the "recap show" before Arc featured Ignis trying to reactivate his transformation item ( I didn't watch the whole show so I don't know if he succeeded) and the preview implies Givas is from another dimension.
I don't like gaia Great show but we don't have New generation gaia and New generation agul Because I say that blazer and arc amazing Show I watch blazer and arc same show gaia but I say that blazer is aggressive tight and arc is scientist tight because I said I believe two ultraman not new generation gaia and agul is experiment blazer and arc experiment new generation gaia and agul because I say that TsuPro i believe I know new generation gaia and agul Big budget because new generation gaia is big budget blazer and arc small budget

Great insight!! It makes so much sense!

Sounds like the answer in Arc will once again be "Barrier"
Similar to the Giant from Iron Giant. To quote the movie:
"It was defensive, he reacted to the gun!"
After so many standalone episodes it’s nice to see we’re getting a two parter.
And Givas is a really cool kaiju with its two heads it reminds me of the reborn gundam
Always a fun feature to see in a robot
Excited to see Givas in action, really cool robot design. Interesting how it plays a melody from space, just like Galactron.
Except givas has a western robot sound.. and i really wanted him to kill that kaiju just for example of hes power
Givas might actually fulfill my dream of seeing a Galactron turn good, since the show seems to be building up to Givas becoming a good guy. Plus I'm seeing some Mountain Gulliver 5 in its design as well
@@yanchunchan9321 I forgot about Mountain Gulliver 5, good point.
The torso twist is also a nice, err, twist
So Givas is evil?
Why was Givas looking for a Givas?
Was Givas testing Arc? Was Givas testing the humans?
The "alien gesture" (W) returned.
Ultra-greetings from Brazil!
I don't think it was testing Arc, I think it was simply self-defence because Arc attacked it first.
Poor Yuma, that attack managed to cut deep.
The camera angles were exciting, what with Gubila going over it and so.
I can't be the only one screaming to the siblings to just run out of the way of two giants right? 😭
Or is it just Jurassic Park taught them that T-Rexes and Kaijus can't see you if you stay still ☠️
Fr
Yeah I'm calling it right now:
Givas is actually an ally/non-enemy sent to find an even bigger threat
Well turns out I was half right
20:20 Obviously in the Japanese broadcast, the text was accordingly so, so the thing this dub has been doing where they'll actually edit some the Japanese text into English actually has plot relevance here!
the robot design really looks like it came from the heisei era
I'm seeing a bit of Mountain Gulliver 5 in its design, perhaps a sign that it's going to become a good guy
Like Dyna's
“A bond across dimensions” you say? That preview is looking more and more exciting for next week!

givas' feature of having its back be another form really reminiscent of reborns gundam

@@yanchunchan9321 There's a lot of "understanding" themes going on in Gundam, though 00 went a lot farther than most

Happy birthday
Damn Arc almost lost an arm
Oka-Gubila appears
You were saying Yuma?
Givas is awesome
I think givas is good I don't no is good or not I just think givas is good
Cliffhanger!!!
Oh, “Givas.” To be honest I kept hearing the name “Igomas” from Cosmos.
Givas reminds me of gundam reborns ability to transform to a two type unit the back cannon and the gundam mode and his ability is somehow close to IF it can copy attacks from its attacker
Today on Arc: the Resident Evil Nemesis
