The conclusion of the Onyx incident meant Shu would be leaving... As his departure approached, a mysterious case emerged! The victims seem to be afraid of something unknown, and the source of it seems to be the beams released from a certain kaiju's hands. What will Shu see when he too becomes a victim? And a mysterious alien appears in the middle of the chaos!?

This is the first time we've seen Arc and Space Samurai Zangill fighting together, so Arc didn't use his armor even when his color timer started to ring, and continued to fight with just his sword. This is a great performance.
This episode really cemented Mogusion as a Space Beast wearing the skin of a Choju to me. The video of its victims writhing in fear as well as Shu's hallucination at 8:23 all look straight out of Nexus. Kind of disappointed he didn't fight as smart as he did in Blazar, but he didn't need to if he was incorporeal I guess
(Edit: seems like the Nexus parallels are intentional, as the director confirmed that Mogusion ate people offscreen at 12:30)
I had the idea of Arc summoning his sword to block out Kiyla's eye flashes when planning out a fan-made Arc vs. Kiyla fight, so 19:21 was really cool. Reflecting Mogusion's flashes back at him to foreshadow Hellnarak is a genius move

Arc’s finisher in this episode was hella impressive. Using the Arc Eye Sword’s blade to reflect Mogusion’s light back its eyes, and THEN finishing it off with an Arc Finalize. Truly a treat to watch lol.
Also a great way to foreshadow Hellnarak’s appearance. The writing of this show never disappoints.
I thought we would get a fast draw duel between Mogusion's flashes and the Arc Sword Beam, since Arc covers his eyes when firing the beam. But what we got is way better; looks cool _and_ foreshadows future plot development. The move before that where Arc breaks his own barrier to reflect beams was cool as well

If i had a nickel for every consecutive season of ultraman where this same fear kaiju appears on the 16th episode, i would have 2 nickels. It isn't a lot, but it's still crazy that it happened twice in a row, right?

Recap episodes other than episode 13 are special recap episodes and are not included in the total of 25 episodes. For example, "Ultraman Blazar" had a total of 25 episodes, plus 3 special recap episodes, for a total of 28 weeks.

Seeing both a kaiju and an alien from the previous Ultra series gives me anticipation that Arc might team up with Ultraman Blazar.

Ok hear me out I have a theory. What If the dark coloured monster from when mogusion saw its own dear was arc's last and final villain?? It is the perfect time to introduce it now and it's probably encountered by zangill and moluaion cuz molusion's fear was him and when zangill had a chest attack it was dark coloured like something attacked him.
I am thinking the same. Unless it’s just the monster that’s threatening the dimension (as mentioned by Zangill.)

@@JOEmega64maybe it's the final villain tho, AND probraly both zangill and moluaion has seen before, as the monster has dark colours and when zangill suddenly had a chest attack it was also something dark coloured, so maybe zangill has fought it but in vain?
Not long after Zadime's demise, a piece of his crown cut an interdimensional rift on the air before it turned to dust. Immediately from the rift, a cocoon appears. Meanwhile, because the onyx's presence has ceased, Ishido's work at Hoshimoto City is completed and thus it was time for him to leave SKIP. On the morning of the last day Yuma meets Ishido and thoughts to ask him why he joined the GDF whereas he asks Yuma why he joined SKIP in which Yuma answers he wants to research and investigate Kaiju and not just react to them when they appear. A part me thinks it's also because it's closer to home and while GDF has more resources and there is a kaiju research division, he prefers to be more up close and personal with it.
Before Ishido could answer, Yuma gets a phone call for an emergency where they see a video of a bunch of people getting terrified at a campground and to get to the bottom of it Ishido, Yuma, and YouPi go there to find out and immediately was greeted by two giant hands and a flash of light with Ishido getting caught in it and what he fears is Yuma? Ishido closes his eyes only to hallucinate everyone saying goodbye to him. Ishido fears saying goodbye to the SKIP team, HE IS AFRAID OF LEAVING THEM! Ishido eventually snaps out of it with Yuma's help and they are confronted with a ghost Mogusion. So I thought it was a native Mogusion the team would be dealing with but no, it's the same Mogusion from Blazar's universe and it leaves after reacting to a sound from a cloaked individual which if it's the same Mogusion from Blazar's universe it's likely Zangill who was affected by the Rift and returned to the living.
A strong will can counteract mental illusions but even then the effect is still there as Ishido is still bothered by it. Thanks to first hand experience and results from the victims SKIP learns how it works so now they can't be affected by it but they don't have time to figure things out as Mogusion is attacking the city and has gained a physical form and body thanks to the Rift.
So while everyone wears like a full on helmet that protects eyes or in Yuma's case a pair of shades, Rin uses a black umbrella why? Unfortunately even with a physical body it's still a ghost so even Arc can't harm it. Ishido during the whole sequence is far more motivated and determined than ever before and helps with the evacuation. Meanwhile Arc struggles against Mogusion and was driven to a corner until an alien comes out of nowhere unveiling himself to be Zangill the Ghost Hunter who resonates Arc's sword with the same sound he makes allowing him to harm ghosts like he can and faces Mogusion until things take a sudden shift when Zangill's heart apparently is flaring up form something leading to Mogusion getting the upper hand until Arc unleashes his imagination using his glass barrier and turning it to light reflectors when shattered and turns Mogusion's light against her with the reflection from his sword and what it fears is a silhouette of a demon with a blue and yellow eye we have yet to meet that may show up soon and was cut with a light slash and then followed with an Arc Beam on that cut. Ishido breathes a sigh of relief and is greeted by the SKIP team feeling relief to see them.
Yuma while riding to work meets Ishido again surprised he hasn't returned yet and he reveals GDF allowed him to continue working alongside SKIP at Hoshimoto Branch if anything to resolve the Ghost Kaiju and mysterious alien. He then answers the question on why he joined the GDF where he initially believed aliens are dangerous but that was until working alongside SKIP changed his mindset and was saved by an alien twice. He later asks Yuma to refer to him by his first name. Zangill appears before them as the two head to the office requesting for an audience as their Earth is in danger.
For what is supposedly a collab sequence of episodes between Blazar and Arc, the first of those episodes went as far as being an Ishido focused episode that greatly developed him as a person and how much the SKIP crew has affected him to the point where he doesn't want to leave them to the end where he casually asks to be referred as Shu. On top of it being relevant to the main story as the ghosts are appearing from the Rift created by Zadime.
ZANGIL!!!! Is Blazar next to show up ? Hmmmm...
i love Mogusion, so cute and huggable. I want to pet it and call it a good evil people eater.
And poor Mr Ishido, so much stoic suffering. But at least the reward is Yuma calling him by his first name.

Mogusion from Ultraman Blazar series is back! Not just Mogusion, even the Space Samurai, the Seijin name Zangill is also back! Seems like Mogusion and Zangill will be as fan favorite Ultra Kaiju (Kaiju and Seijin i mean) from Ultraman Blazar series. The most Mogusion fear of is completely clear the upcoming new chimera Kaiju name Hellnarak. I not mind they reuse Kaiju or Seijin recently from previous Reiwa Ultraman series because the new era should be have own famous Ultra Kaiju for Reiwa era more than keep reused the famous Ultra Kaiju from Showa era and Heisei era. The next episode on next Saturday is more Blazar's original Ultra Kaiju that will be coming back as Ghost Kaiju Army, it's was Gedos and Taganular 😃.
