    I’m very lucky to have seen both goldcrests and firecrests on a few occasions during the past year. It’s very much been a case of trying to get any images banked (and be grateful 😂) and if you’re lucky enough to get a workable composition too, then that’s a bonus. They’re very erratic little birds but a joy to find. In the south I’ve found them hopping around in dense ivy wrapped trees too.

    We have some fire crests and many gold crests here in the East of the Netherlands and I have a lot of fun trying to shoot them. Thanks for your advice, I already learned new stuff there!

    Funny Coincidence, I just came home photographing goldcrests and saw you made a video about it. Thanks for the tips. I hope it will make photographing them easier.

    Excellent video thanks Kevin, would you be able to recommend a decent gimbal that doesn’t cost an arm and leg , cheers
