@@markmorris7123 what are you talking about? Conan as a character is hyper intelligent. Not just in military matters, but in other ways too. He is not formally educated, but he has been able to draw maps from memory, understand the depths of politics, and religion. He has a natural talent for languages, able to learn them far easier than a regular person. Then there is his pure fighting intelligence. He is stronger, faster, tougher and hardier than almost anyone on the battlefield, but can pick up virtually any weapon and use it with skill. This is not portrayed well by Arnold on screen. He is portrayed as an ignorant savage in the first film. It wasn't until Destroyer where we start to see the more savvy and intelligent Conan... it just is not as good as a film.
Really captured the intrigues, rivalries, ambitions, follies of personality, beliefs, fears, cowardice, luck, greed, plots, jealousies, resentments, arrogance and complexity of Howard's erstwhile Hyborian world. The struggle for victory over the domination of the depraved and dissolute Kings of Old, held under the sway of dark Gods and vile sorcerors, was not accomplished by picket signs, protests and polemics. It was hard fought for by men and women of tarnished virtues over centuries under a yoke of cruelty and corruption. Hard won not by ideologies and philosophies, but by individual skirmishes of noble and ignoble choices. Individual strength and courage bred by the cunning and insight of a spirit bigoted by beauty and truth. Some are proud to posess words of conviction, but how many posess the nerve? Folly can be taught just as well as wisdom, only Courage or Ignorance can tell the difference. The ignorant barbarian may be as good a tool to decide folly from wisdom as the psychologist.

I hope for more Conan the barbarian videos more folk lore and just more great episodes in general
By Crom I am happy to see this!
Honestly I just want to see more stories like this. These are awesome and very well done.
I would love to see something like this for the Malazan Book of the Fallen series! It was hard at times to visualize the battlefields. Thanks for your great vids!
Grew up reading the original novels. THIS WAS AWESOME!
This is why Conan became King, not just a skilled fighter, a very intelligent man too. So unlike the movies
One of the things the Arnold movies didn't capture to well... just how smart Conan is.
I love Arnie but he made Conan look dumb, in some scenes especially
@@daleludtke7803 completely disagree..Military smartness is not the same as academic smartness ...And it's exactly the same with fighting smartness.. Nate Diaz is known for having a very high ring IQ, Tank Davis also...However when it comes to making a conversation or anything academic they're like "Arnnie", as you'd say,,, not very smart.
@@romankukel626 Disagree..See my other comment for details
This channel is the epitome of great quality and interesting content, you guys are the never fail!
I’m very happy you guys have made this series!
A barbarian intelligent as Conan would thrive in today's society.
I wrote my own sword and sorcery novel which is now on Amazon, being inspireed by the world of Conan since i first saw Conan the Destroyer. Thank you Robert E Howard
Thank you so much for this video. I enjoyed it very much.
Are you sure at the beginning it was Red Sonja that stole the crown? I thought that was Valeria instead.
I never heard of Red Sonja appearing in any of the original Conan stories, maybe he's using the marvel comics as a reference?
Enjoyed this one. Thanks for covering Conan
I think a few others would agree, but could the Horus Heresy be another series that you try?
Oh man. Awesomeness. Great idea. Conan's full story. Badassery.
wonderfully amazing ... i loved it ... great work
Just got addicted to conan exiles. Thank you so much for this lore video guys!!!!
Have been for years. Closing in on the 14,000 hour mark.
Ah Conan, the man who could fall into a mountain sized pile of shit and come out smelling like perfumed wine.
Cool you’re covering Conan! Enjoy your videos

Excellent video. Lot of work I see. Was a big fan of Robert E Howard and Conan the Barbarian. Read a few of he's books, Got lot of he's books which I haven't read . Got Comics , TV and films Dvd . Even a figurine.. Never read or heard the last parts. when Conan the king. Only in a few comics. Well done . Brilliant. Enjoyed it very much. By Crom 👍😊
GIVE THIS EPIC MOVIE!!🤣 Lol big fan of Arnold Schwarzenegger's Conan the barbarian but this summary makes the lore even more epic. (Never read the source material) Now I'm genuinely interested now thank you guys for this🙏
Wow! Just came across this. This was great and I enjoyed the battlefield maps a great deal, I'm sharing this.
Fun facts, Conan is one of the characters that actually intimidates Kang the Conqueror
Conan is also one of the few mortals that actually stirs any sense of fear into Eldritch beings, newborn or ancient
@@darkranger116 elephantine gods from another universe confirms this
Conan is a champion of Crom and Mitra, that's on top of him being the greatest of his time.
AMAZING JOBS GUYS !!!! Love the maps animations !!!! Congratz!!!
Awesome job! Love this channel and kings and generals!!!
Imagine a D&D campaign with Kings & Generals as the DM. Id pay.
In my teens late '80s. Heavy metal and Conan comics. ...Ah, and also my favorite arcade ever, "Black Tiger".
This was AMAZING! Can't wait for more of this!
"When I was a fighting-man, the kettle-drums they beat;
The people scattered gold-dust before my horse’s feet;
But now I am a great king, the people hound my track
With poison in my wine-cup, and daggers at my back.
Gleaming shell of an outworn lie; fable of Right divine -
You gained your crowns by heritage, but Blood was the price of mine.
The throne that I won by blood and sweat, by Crom, I will not sell
For promise of valleys filled with gold, or threat of the Halls of Hell!
What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie?
I, who was born in a naked land and bred in the open sky.
The subtle tongue, the sophist guile, they fail when the broadswords sing;
Rush in and die, dogs - I was a man before I was a king!"
-Robert E. Howard: The road of kings
Fantastic video keep it up your doing amazing job
Thank you for this video and effort put into making it. Much appreciated and enjoyed it having read the novels
Would you guys consider doing the lore of The Dragon Riders of Pern?
Loved this!
Would love details on Conan's children and their heirs.
Awesome video! Keep it going, I'm staying tuned.
The original Red Sonja created by Robert E. Howard wasn't a character Of the Hyborian Age alongside with Conan. She's a pirate queen type Of character closer to Solomon Kane in the timeline.
I love this documentary!
Lots of great memories of adventures that Conan... Another one is that I remember is King Kull and Solomon Kane... Here's another idea Michael Moorcocks Elric of Melniboné the albino wisard warrior who wielded the sword Stormbringer great story
Two other really good REH characters.
The Solomon Kane film is fun, but didn't do the character justice (Purefoy did a great job). I wish they had done a bigger movie about this. Heck... Hugh Jackman's Van Helsing was more Solomon Kane than he was a Dracula character.
Arnold's third Conan movie (which he did not want to do) got turned into a Kull movie... but... eek... Kevin Sorbo and rock music? Turning Akivasha into a demon like creature? Bad bad movie.
I remember Zenobia as a buxom blonde not a women who looks like Wonder Woman 😂😂.
Giggles aside, much thanks for this presentation. I am quite thrilled to have watched the whole thing. ❤
We most definitely need a Conan themed banner lord game.
I would like to see y'all do the world of fable. I love all the videos
