    Good review, thanks! Was thinking getting a MX, but ended up with a MY. One big reservation about the MX is the falcon doors, although they are cool and give the ‘wow’ factor, but in real life are not that practical. Would prefer the mini van like sliding doors. That would provide a MY like whole glass roof which gives a much better experience in rear seats and allow installing roof racks.

      Hard disagree on the falcon wing doors not being practical - theyre amazing! we have 2 kids in car seats, and loading them with the falcon doors is SOO much easier than even a mini-van. I dont get the hate for them - never had an issue and they allow easy access WHILE also acting as an umbrella in the rain!

    I just got a new 2024 Model X in April. And it works great and drives wonderfully! I thought about getting the Plaid version. But after I tried the Insane mode and then the Drag Strip mode, I quickly realized that I didn’t need the Plaid, the 3.7 second 0 to 60 speed was so fast that I didn’t need anything faster. I have a 6 seater version which looks and seems larger than the 5 seater versions - I am not sure if it is larger, but it sure looks larger. I did have the front window crack around the mirror within 2 weeks of having the car. Tesla took it in that day and fixed it the next morning for free as there was no outside rock damage (and they gave me a new Model X as a loaner car). The people at their service spot were very nice, friendly, knew what they were doing and efficient - we were very pleased with them.

    The back seat seems very underthought. Assume this has to do with wanting people to get the upgraded seat options.

    First time in your channel, great Jon!
    I had 2020 model x performance ludicrous+ on 22" with FSD beta.
    I ordered my 2nd model x plaid 22" like 10 days ago. BUT!!!....
    after i watched your video got a second thought, and just changed the order to dual motor with 20" with yoke...
    You changed my mind 😂😂😂😂

    What are your thoughts on the ventilation in the area behind the second row in the 5 seat config? As you know, only the 6 and 7 seat configs have the third row air registers on the C pillar. My use case would be to have a large dog in the rear during hot-day drives but almost certainly a shade for the rear hatch window. THX.

    • @BarryGGould
      @BarryGGould 10 месяцев назад +2

      its the same car only difference is the plaid is faster and has more hp. i wouldnt get the plaid. faster + more hp= less range + higher price tag.

    • @ReejayL
      @ReejayL 7 месяцев назад

      My thoughts exactly. He didn’t mention anything about why I don’t need a plaid. Hahahaha yea it has more hp but at least say “you really don’t need 1000+ hp. There’s no other difference”

  • @sakthishrajendran4264
    @sakthishrajendran4264 Год назад +2

    I would say opposite . Apart from a smoother ride and a falcon wing door there is not much difference between a x and y. So just put another 15k and get a plaid that can go as fast as a ferrari sf90. That would be a huge upgrade from y to x. Even if you don’t have y , for 15k You get a hyper car level performance. So why choose regular model x.

    We love our 2022 MYP but am looking at an X next year but for that price point the FRUNK should be powered and the rear seat needs an armrest like the Model S. Come on Elon figure that out. We will wait for the front camera and ambient lighting before we order. We will be ordering the Tax Credit Edition X.

    In regard to what you said about the front turn signal and where it should be placed, I agree. It’s obviously not a dealbreaker, but I always felt them not integrating it into the DRL was a missed opportunity. Especially since it’s already pretty bright, even with the headlights on. But I could’ve swore earlier models of the Model X were like that.

    Performance Model Y for $52.5k, Model X for $80k. Is the X worth the nearly $28k premium in your experience?
