Beautiful pond. I was a bit surprised that Bull Rush was planted in the pond gravel. I've had a bad experience with Bull Rush. When it was in a pot I could control the roots by cutting them back and dividing the plant. When I put this plant in my pond without a pot, letting the roots sit upon a large piece of flagstone, with rocks around it to get the plant support, in time it grew up to about eight feet tall and about two to three feet wide and the roots had attached its self to the flagstone. I can just imagine how those roots are going to spread in the gravel base and just take over the pond.
Their are a number of different varieties of bull rush. The ones used here are a smaller variety that does not get the typical hot dog like pod at the top.
Awesome result! So glad the white pvc had to go :)
