Thanks for making this video. I've been putting off a crank pulley install forever as I wasn't exactly sure how to put car into service mode. Already familiar with bumper removal, so this was the missing piece!
Hey bud. I’m in Australia. I see you have a catch can on your A6. I’m wondering if you have done a video installing it. Mine is Biturbo diesel but should b the same. Many thanks for you vids mate. Have been very helpful👍
Thanks man, but that isn't a catch can. That is a reservoir for my supercharger coolant loop bc I have it separate from the engine coolant loop. But I will be adding a catch can very soon.
Hey, I think I have a good idea for a video that could help a few people and myself out. I'm about to pick up a C7 and was wondering what special tools you use the most and any new C7 owners should look at purchasing. Just thought it would be a good, and helpful, video :)
Service position is exactly what I showed in this video. It allows better access to the front of the engine without complete Disassembly of the front end
You mean slide away from the car to give you more room? There has to be something you missed. Check all of the headlight connections and all your bolts again.
@@AudiC7Owners yes my bad, I got all the bolts out the ones for the lights the 3 on the front on each side even have the extended bolt in both the middle bolt holes it slides just not very much seems like the bottom doesn’t want to slide out at all
I had to lift it a bit to pull it out. But it isn't going to come out a foot or anything like that. Just a few inches. But it should give you plenty of room to do what you need to.
What I used on my car will likely be different on your car. I was removing an aftermarket pulley & then installing a different one. If you have a triple square kit then you should be covered. I think I used M12 though, maybe M10
This video really helped me out on my wife's A7. I watch the bumper video too. The 2013 A7 Is very different but actually easier to remove the bumper.

Awesome! I'll have my crank pulley diy up soon as well
@@AudiC7Owners Right on! Thanks
Thanks, 2015 A7 with a bad alternator that was never coming out without your video👍
Happy to help!
Hi, i have the problem that the new headlight doesnt fit , it is the Same i had before. Any tips how i should fit it back in ?
This the same for 13' s6 c7 4.0t? Trying to access the g336 sensor on the driver's side
Yep. Should be the same
@@AudiC7Owners cool I'ma tilt my front end day after tomorrow and see about replacing this dam sensor 😂
Have you done a video on a radiator replacement?
Nope. They aren't a common failure point on the 3.0t cars
I wonder if the is gives enough space to remove the subframe and lift the engine and trans up to do a cat removal
You don't need service position to lower the subframe
Do I see a catch can on the bottom right corner?
Nope. You see the coolant reservoir for my divorced set up

I just did this and after everything was all said and done, the hood sits slightly lower than the fenders now. And tips for this?
The hood & fenders shouldn't have moved at all. Did you undo anything apart from what was in the video?
Also this same for the c7 2.0 litre engine

Torx bits & triple squares lol. You need those too work on any vw/audi
What do you use to lift up the car
A low profile floor jack from harbor freight. Trying to save for a quickjack
don't forget the airbox inlet removal
What is the purpose of the extended bolts?
To keep your front end from falling off after you unbolt it
How does this relate to the service position? I thought service position was for torque specs?
Service position is exactly what I showed in this video. It allows better access to the front of the engine without complete Disassembly of the front end
I followed everything still doesn’t want to slide forward

@@AudiC7Owners what size triple square did you use for the crank pulley bolts
