- Join us in the first of our vlogs from our 2015 California road trip. The original Disneyland located in Anaheim, California, opened in July 1955 and is the only Disney park in the world that Walt Disney ever stepped foot inside. Throughout part 1 of this vlog we ride the many famous attractions of Disneyland, including on ride POV footage and first reactions from the parks wide variety of attractions and experiences!

I've been waiting since last year for your visit to my neck of the woods! I'm California-born and raised and living here in the UK since 2009. I used to live in LA, Have a Magic Mountain Season Pass, go to Disneyland all the time. I remember very, very well when California Adventure was just the parking lot. In fact, we were there the last day it was open back in '97.
I've been a Disneyland regular since I was a kind in the late 70's. I remember before Big Thunder Mountain existed. I was there for the opening of Splash Mountain. It had a four hour queue. Before Toon Town. Before the Videopolis Stage existed. before Indy was there. Back when the Pirate queue was different. When Star Tours was Adventure through Inner Space. When my beloved People Mover still worked and I got to experience the doomed Rocket Rods before they disappeared.
So it was so amazing to see you guys react to your first trip to the park! Really made my day! I love that you guys loves it! I was worried that you might be let down. I've been to the Paris park, Tokyo, but never Florida. This Christmas was going to be our first family trip to Florida. We were going for several weeks. Instead, we'll be at the one and only Disneyland in California for Christmas. Hotel is already booked!

I went there in 2010 for the first time (and only time, hope to go there again), and being a HUGE disney theme parks fan (becuase of all the imagineers books ive had, I never had gone to a disney park before) and also a fan of the man himself I started to cry walking through Main Street USA because my life dream was becoming true in that instant, the park, the music, Walt walking that park, the history of it... it just hit me that moment. One of the cast members that did photos came to me and asked why I was crying, I couldnt even talk but my friend told him it was just tears of happiness to be there. The cast member (that looked like Santa Claus lol) hugged me while he said dreams really come true, and that was probably the happiest moment in my whole life.
Seeing Chris crying a little made me remember that time again.

I’m here for the nostalgic. I’ll say Disneyland of 2015, is one of the best even tho I was very poor to go in but now I’ve finally worked there.

Disneyland makes me cry every time I go because of the memories.
I'm going here next year from England and now I can't wait. These vlogs are helping me to know what rides I must ride when I go.

Amazing first video!! I was so happy seeing your reaction to Indiana Jones Adventure. I told you it would change your life!! Controversial statement but....aside from all of the 'classic' nostalgic rides, I think Indy might actually be the best ride at the park.....! The queue theming's almost like a ride in and of itself! Can't wait to see the rest of your trip videos!

The park looks absolutely beautiful and amazing! Makes me SO excited to go to Disneyland Paris next month!!!! It's so emotional to see Walt's apartment as well - I can't imagine what it must have been like for him to live there, and look out at this beautiful park that was all his. I hope to get to Anaheim some day and see all of this in person.

Try doing Jungle Cruise at night! The first time I ever went on it, it was evening and there was a full moon! It was incredible.

I believe I have mentioned in the past one of my daughters works for Disneyland. For my 50th bday she took me and her mother to Club 33 and we had a wonderful time, but it was not because we were in Club 33. I have never been a fan of such a place existing inside a Disney Park, I don't believe anything should be exclusive to anyone in the happiest place on earth. BTW, I'd rather dine at Walt's Disney Paris than 33 any day

The Matterhorn Bobsleigh was the first tubular steel track coaster that was built by Arrow. The same tracking was used on Gemini at Cedar Point.

If you weren't already aware, the Indiana Jones queue is so beyond detailed it's mind-boggling. I was able to ride it in July 1995, when the queues were still 2.5-3.5 hours long. Cast members would hand out translation cards for all the petroglyphs so you could work on translating the messages on the temple walls as you waited. Wikipedia
mentions this now, but most people who weren't around for it in the early days don't know about it.
It really is a beautiful experience
I know this might be a stupid question but is club 33 in this Disneyland if so did you pass it in the vlog. Also I've never been to a park like this and I watch these videos so I can go one day

What is the best amusement park that has the best dark rides? I love coasters however my wife doesn't. So, we are deciding were to go for vacation next summer.
Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World Resort it has a amazing effects and projections. There alst a lot Roller coasters and drop rides in Disneyland Resort has California Screamin, Tower of Terror, Space Mountain (dark roller coaster ride), Goofy's Sky School your wife can handle the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad its not a thrill Roller Coaster or more but this is only a suggestion.

+Sky Pie hey I don't like what they do either to be honest, I've watched blackfish and done quite a lot of research of my own into it, but at the end of the day they do exist and for my kids to get up that close to see these animals, well it's just to good of an experience for them to not have. They do a lot of great work aswell you've got to remember that.
brendandoherty9379 You want your children to see miserable, suffering and dying wild sea life? Why would you teach your daughter/sons thats ok? If you want your kids to see them then go to THEIR natural habitat, you cant learn anything from caged animals, only that they are desperate, mentally ill, miserable and even suicidal. How would you feel if the shoe was on he other foot? If another life force took you and your family and stuck you in a tiny cage and forced to perform for the rest of your short depressing lives?

But when I clicked on it in The Hollywood Studios Playlist, it said that it's not available in your country due to music in the video. I'm from Germany and we have this one organisation called GEMA. They simply just block videos, when there is a little bit of music that belongs to them. Anyways, love your Vlogs.
