      Yes, the Viktor-Ivan relationship was very well done. Despite Vitkor being treated by his father as a race horse used for selfish purposes, Viktor was the only person loyal to Ivan. When Ivan was abandoned by his opportunistic mother for the second time, Ivan's conscience finally won out, and that brief shot of them training together confirms that they fixed their relationship.

    Rocky Balboa - lost
    Creed 1 - on the verge of giving up
    Creed 2 - acceptance and catching up
    He accepted the fact that he needed to move on and catch up with Robert while he still could, and the first person he bumps into is the spitting image of the person he's longed after for so decades.
    It's also supposedly Rocky's last outing. So that part also symbolizes that Rocky's story ends by being "reunited" with Adrian again.

      @MindNumbingInc 5 лет назад +21

      Because he took the punishment offset from both ends. Instead of being parents. Ivan was a coach and Ludmilla was a spiteful woman. Instead of being a father and appreciating that he had family (a son), Ivan instead trained Viktor to continue his vengeance to redeem his humiliation. Instead of being a mother, Ludmilla put the spite she had against Ivan off on Viktor. Giving him up to be raised by his father and not having a second parent around in his life. She just saw him as nothing less, just something she carried and gave birth to after 9 months. Both were shameful parents but in the end, Ivan saw his mistakes. As for Ludmilla, she's disowned by Viktor after he disbanded his emotions to her. All he wanted was his mother, but seeing as she wasn't willing to be there for him, he said fuck it too.

    There is no great hero without a great anti-hero. Huge fan of Rocky movies, but Creed 1 and 2 are so much more layered when it comes to portraying the relationships. They humanize Dragos, show the insecurity and struggles of even those who are supposed to be alpha, and that no fighter ever goes into the ring alone. Top stuff!

    It must've been hard for Sylvester seeing Robert again. Since his real son played the character and died way before/after the 6th Rocky film. I think that's why Sylvester wanted to join the Creed series as a remembrance of what it was like; not just boxing but as a father, especially to Adonis Creed. Creed will always see Rocky as his father, while Sylvester will see Adonis as his actual living son. At least Sylvester's son's character is still alive in the Rocky universe, which is still a nice touch.
