- People didn't believe my measurement analysis of the Deuce, so I decided to actually listen to it this time around and re-review it. Did my thoughts change?

"time to listen to the Deuce".... *puts Variations in his ears*
lol
Good to know that I can get a set of dollar store iem’s, EQ them to and enjoy all of them with one purchase.
Sadly this is flawed testing as you fail to take into consideration that there are other variables besides the FR like shell design, shell materials, drivers, components, fit, pinna gain and one major thing ACTUALLY COMPARING TO THE DEUCE in a blind test. You can't compare and review without actually listening to the actual device, setting EQ on a completely different IEM to the FR of the one you are "reviewing" is NOT a review!
Let me guess your response, COPE!
I will see myself out. Have a great day!
you can eq a high technical performance iem to a low technical performance iem
@@Sharur1 You truly don't understand audio, you've got a lot to learn.
@@SnobAudiophileFor IEMs the tonality is largely what determines the sound quality. It's impossible to EQ a single driver dynamic IEM to have the same treble as a tribrid design which can extend to 20k. Sharur is correct, he is literally studying audio engineering. He's no some consoomer r/headphones fan with no technical background. This comment is cope from someone without any actual certifiable knowledge of sound reproduction or audio fidelity.
I as a audio engineer, studio and stage engineer will claim, yes drivers matter. But a large majority of drivers are extremely cheap. There is much more to graphs and tuning, reflections of sound due to the material of the housing. Is it metal, resin, woods, etc. Is it filtered, tubed, tubeless? Size of the driver chamber? Material of the driver, size of the driver, thicknesz of the driver? Is the iem a fully closed design, vented or open back. So many things come to play in how an iem sounds. Example, Dynamic, BA, EST, Planar, BC all have different charecteristics in low end, mids and treble. EST excell in treble performance. Dynamics excell in low end. BA are good for mids and treble. Planar are decent all rounders. But then we can go into different types of BA, Dynamic, Planar, EST drivers.... A graph only states how it's tuned. Nothing more. It won't tell you anything about layering, imaging, soundstage, dynamics, clarity, resolution etc. Only real life testing will tell you that. I find the Deuce to be a great iem for long, all day listening. While treble extension may not be endgame, it still may be of good quality and still have decent resolution up top. It's tuned that way, because yes. Metal, Hip Hop, rap, electronic all have so so recording. Some artist record with very high quality and try to master the tracks and albums as best to there ability. But also others can be so so. HBB knows this. And a headphone/iem with heaps of treble or a brighter tuning can make these recordings sound unpleasent and harsh. So an iem that can be a little more forgiving is an extremely nice welcome for such music. A audio engineer and music enthusiast would know such thing. And that's facts. That's the hobby. There is no headphone/iem that we can claim Godly and do all things perfect. That's why we collect a variety of iems, headphones even speakers..... Real life testing, trying a huge variety of genres. Be it well recorded or not. Be it crisp or gritty. Old or new. Be it recorded analog or digital. In a garage or studio. I can go on and on. Always have to remember. What will this iem/headphone sound good with. What can I use it for. What do I want to hear, when I use this specific iem/headphone. It can go on and on and on. Just because the Deuce rolls of in the treble does not mean it's a crap iem. Hifimans have heaps of treble, to bright for some. People still love them. Even though the low end on them can be meh too. Audezes. They are tuned dark and wonky. But yet, people still love them. HD800s.... Harsh treble, sub roll off, but again, people still love them. Why? Because real life testing will always. ALWAYS BE THE ULTIMATE DECIDING FACTOR!!!!!!!!!!. Using the Moondrop Variations which uses BA drivers for the treble and comparing it to the Deuce which uses a Dynamic is already going to result in massive differences. Coming from me, a qualified audio engineer. Someone that has worked on actual audio gear. Learnt the different quality of drivers and transducers. This testing Sharur is doing is just crap. He can believe what he wants. Say what he wants. Do what he wants. And have a cult following if he wants. But this is just plain stupid. If he himself doesn't even know this. I don't know what else to say. Tuudaaluu 🙃
Ever heard of Dynamic driver bass Vs BA bass? Or planar Bass vs BA or Dynamic? Ever heard of a EST ever doing bass? 😂 All drivers have different qualities. BA drivers tend to sound harsher in the treble compared to Dynamics. And Dynamics tend to slam harder than BA and Planar.... How does a Audio Engineer not know this simple info. Something you learn while studying transducers/speakers!!!!!
That peak on the Deuce while yes, it's big. Will sound less harsher and sharp on a Dynamic driver compared to a BA and god forbid a EST. If anything, it may not be as noticeable and add a sense of clarity to the treble instead like a BA make the treble harsh....... Just watching this honestly gives me a headache.
You can not simply grab two different iems. With different driver tech, different interior chamber design, different impedance etc etc etc. EQ one to the exact tuning as the other. And say they sound the same. Ok similar tuning maybe, but that's it. Soundstage?????? Layering????? Seperation???? Resolution???? Dynamics???? Timbre????? Again. I can seriously go on and on. They both could be the best of the best iems in the world. And EQ will only change tuning. But all other things? You can still have a iem tuned with less treble yet still have amazing clarity and resolution up top depending on driver tech and chamber design. It's been done heaps of times.... Anyways, enough rambling. Hope this can clear things up a little to anyone that reads it. Do some research on driver types, how each have different qualities and uses. How each impact the sound on an iem and so so so so much more. Sharur. Maybe do a video on this....
I like dark sounding iems
Haven't been commenting on your videos recently but I'm glad you are still reviewing iems. Would be nice to see you revisit previously reviewed iems to see if you your thoughts have changed or not, especially now that youre more lenient or open to EQ.
Then why does the 7hz zero sound significantly narrow, harsher and anemic compared to the olina se? They graph a quite identical...
poor fit with zero
@@Sharur1 actually I get better fit with the zeros than the olina se. I use 3rd party cables for both of them. The zeros just can't produce the shimmer and vibration of the pianos and violins sound dry.
@@aurelian9817 lol
@@aurelian9817 I just looked up the measurements and they do not graph "quite identical"
zero also has 12khz peak
try zero 2 and then eq the upper treble
It baffles me that people will leave treble performance behind for muddy bass and nothing more

HBB is a 🤡 and he only get popular because he giving IEM’s for free for his poor community
LOL
you still don't get it do you ? if it worked everybody would buy $10 iem and eq it to the graph of a $1000 iem to sound like the $1000 iem. guess what ? it does not work because there are still $1k iems on the market. and once for all graph is only measuring one aspect of the sound from a iem, how many time do we read "it does not sound like its graph" from all reviewers, are you not one of them ?
cope noob. With IEMs, the only things that matter to the listener are what emerges from the end of the tube, which is summarized by amplitude response, phase response, and distortion.
you can EQ backwards, not really forwards
@@Sharur1 what is EQing backwards/forwards?
@@garfieldblessesyouwithadri3944you can eq to low technical performance but not really to good technical performance

@@Sharur1 There are so many other factors that make this unreliable and you know it. I understand you sight this study. There is the fit in your ear. The variable impedance of the drivers. The timbre of the drivers. Their ability to be adjusted through eq. The level of distortion is different between each set and at different frequencies. The method you are using is for the plebes, low aura. It doesn't qualify in any legit audio group. You know it too.

Can we just report this clickbait, misinformation spreading “reviewer” and be done with it yet? 😂
Many companies rely on content creators to provide actual reviews of products to survive and it is the responsibility of those content creators to provide true, honest, and actual experiential information to viewers. The blatant spread of misinformation, slander, and defamation on this channel is wild.
Lastly, if you like the sound of the IEMs you are currently using, then that is your preference. Why would you “review” something that isn’t to your preference, then shit all over it?
Off to go watch Joyce’s Reviews to get an unbiased ACTUAL review of them.

In order to be accused of slander/libel you have to prove that what they said had some negative impact on your business. He doesn't have the following needed to go up against a well loved company like Fatfreq.
He is just clout chasing, because of the amount of hype around the Deuce right now, figured he can get some clicks if he makes people think he has a pair and had actually heard them.
@@VoxVirtus86 oh absolutely. This entire channel is riding a wave of other people’s hard work and real contribution to society, whether it be a hobby or not.
I am also aware he doesn’t have the following. And while that is the case, you can see based on the comments by a few people that they truly believe in the nonsense he is spewing, which in turn could spread to others.
I found this channel because I was interested in impressions from someone with experience with a product I currently have pre-ordered. It took a single press of a button to view his profile to find he has been doing this for years across hundreds of videos.
As someone with a general working knowledge of business, and a prior content creator, I have witnessed firsthand how slander can affect someone’s business. I’ve seen the effect it can have on someone’s mental health as well.
And while I don’t have kids, I have seen firsthand the influence RUclipsrs have on them.
I definitely get where you are coming from, but I’m just curious why you would defend someone that you obviously know is operating on falsehoods?
what do you mean? should reviewers only give positive reviews?
@@haomingli6175please refer to my initial comment. It’s the responsibility of the reviewers to give true, honest, and speak to their experience of the actual product itself. You don’t buy knockoff Jordan’s and say that Jordan’s are good/bad. That doesn’t make sense.
Having said all that, a bad review for the actual product itself is expected if the product doesn’t fit the taste of the reviewer. Or QC issues. Or whatever they can find that is negative. This reviewer can’t speak to any of that because he doesn’t have the actual product with the drivers or any of the internals that they spend time and money to research and develop.
Let me know if you have more questions 😊
