I like the first game a lot but couldn't get into the 3rd. I love the gangster genre, especially when it's Italian. The fact that this is in Italy and will be the start of the mafia excites me so much.

Want to save Rocksteady after the disaster of Suicide Squad? Go do a trully open world Arkham game with an improved Arkham Combat System, make the city truly open world and all will be forgiven and gamers would return in waves.
First they need to get out from under WB Games. Then they need to beg the real Rocksteady team to come back. After that, we can maybe talk about trying to salvage this dead franchise. They also need to go in a narrative direction, that suggests that the Suicide Squad game was nothing but a bad fever dream.
I’m actually kind of hyped for avowed. I am managing expectations of course. But from those who have played, they said it’s really good in some aspects and meh in others. The melee combats a little off and the sound effects during combat aren’t great but they said everything else is awesome. In an interview the developers did say they are still working on those things. so with the delay hopefully it’ll look a little better. But I do agree with Jor and most gamers will agree they need to figure out the 60 FPS stuff for launch. Dedicate whoever needs to be dedicated to do it. Maybe they’ll bow to the pressure.

I don't think there's that much pressure considering people keep buying games that release at 30 fps. I'm someone that doesn't really mind it so it never stops me from playing a game
It's funny. IGN posted an article on Facebook that talked about Indiana Jones coming to PS5, and some Xbox fanboy who couldn't cope, swore up and down that the game won't come to PS5.
I'm just trying to understand why no outlet is talking about crimson Desert like that game isn't on everyone's list. Obviously they dropped the 3 new boss gameplay videos on their channel, but the game was playable the whole week at gamescom and no one is talking about it. I just hope you do.
I can't wait for Master Chief Collection to be on PS5 when it inevitably happens. Halo: Reach is one of my favorite games and I've never even owned an Xbox.

Indiana Jones’s is coming out on Xbox Dec 5. It’s coming to PlayStation later in 2025. Not sure what this dude is talking about but he’s wrong. Xbox making them pony’s pay full price if they want the games.
Just my opinion, but I think it's good that Indiana Jones is coming to PS5. Normally, I was still hoping that Hellblade 2 would come to PS5 because Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is already on PS5, and it would be great if part 2 came as well, even though I know it's easier said than done.
It’s pretty obvious that Xbox goal is not to sell consul units. They are becoming a software company with their games division just like their Microsoft Windows division. The goal is to get as much software onto any platform as possible. That’s how they’re gonna make their money back so the strategy you suggested that doesn’t make sense for them. That’s not their goal.
I’m looking forwards to starfield on ps5- by the time I can play it it should be fleshed out a bit Also “no review for outlaws because we’re busy playing wukong” is basically a review on its own lol

I feel like Microsoft is shifting to becoming just another publisher at this point. If you are gonna give all your exclusives away. Why even make another generation of consoles?
Because they still sold 29+ million consoles and have people playing , unless it becomes 0 they will still sell consoles to have as many avenues of people playing xbox games
It's late 2024, and we're still campaigning for 30 FPS console gaming. This somehow justifies overpriced PC gaming with botched PC ports and (probably) overpriced PS5 Pro (which, even then, may not guarantee 60 FPS across the board). I should also mention the handful of console exclusives we're waiting to go to more powerful hardware while they're still locked to 30 FPS with poor performance mode options (I'm looking at you, FF7 Rebirth).
I'm currently playing the 1st mafia game. The trilogy has been in my backlog for ages, so it's a good time to knock them out. I've never been a fan of Borderlands, so I could care less about the new one. Since I own both ps5 and series x, I'll play whatever comes to gamepass, so I don't have to buy it but prefer ps5.
I think exclusivity to a single console is pretty dumb… I think as a gaming community and leaving greediness out of it (EA looking at you)… there should be shared efforts to greatly improve quality with these games instead of pushing one single platform. Games nowadays are goofy, corny and just lacking quality; platform exclusivity is just dumb.
exclusivity is actually a good business model. why wouldn’t you want to keep your core satisfied and locked-in on whatever you’re sellin? the ps4 & 5 wouldn’t have sold as half as much as they did w/o exclusives. Nintendo is the king of this.
I don't understand what's bad about the Indiana Jones announcement. Exclusives are bad for consumers. They aren't taking anything away from xbox owners. Choice of platform day1 is always better for the consumer. Also recent games have proved that console exclusivity in particular is dumb. PC market is huge. Consoles will switch to just being pre-built PC's at subsidised costs to sell software (in a lot of ways they already are like this). The money is in software for both Sony and Xbox. And that means game sales and services like gamepass.
100% agree. I don't vibe with Jor's stance but he can have his opinions. Xbox owners are already getting them day one on gamepass. Everybody reacted the same way when they went day and day one on PC just for PS to follow suit.
Then you don't understand the market at all. It's terrible for competition. Sony is a monopoly now. And yes it does take away massively from Xbox owners. Exclusives do suck and are anti-consumer, but they will always exist. You need to accept that fact. They drive competition and offer choice. The 7th Generation of consoles was the best with the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, and DS all being amazing choices with amazing exclusives. You'd want all 4 to play all of the best games. Now though? You just need a PS5 and Switch.

Not to mention I've already pointed out the industry is shifting away from exclusives. Which proves it's not effective anymore. Sony is doing this as well. They were just slower to start. When they release these games at 30 fps , how do they then later on make them 60fps ? Not always but most of the time that is the case and it just shows you they release these games in an unfinished state and it’s sad. Like dogma 2 made by capcom who have been making games for decades couldn’t make it 60 but wukong runs at a locked 60 unreal.
It's really about the engines these companies use, but yeah it seems obvious that Microsoft during development is not prioritising 60fps which is a big mistake. All big PS5 games have at least a solid 60fps option.

World was near perfect, there isnt much room for improvement when the game, mechanics and monsters get better every time. If Wilds wants to stand a lone they really need to have a great focused story. MH isnt really known for its story content, but I think we are due. The only developer that is in a position to release 30fps console games, is Rockstar for GTA. I will never buy any other game if it is locked on 30fps.

GoW 2018 you mean. Yeah i have heard from some friends that they could not get into the Game aswell. For me though it is my Favourite Melee Combat System ever. Setting and Story are also great of course.
For me it's more the complete package: amazing main & side content, a story that stays interesting through the whole game (for me FF16 fell off near the end), better graphical/perfomance mode quality etc. Love FF16, but Ragnarok is a little above most of what ff16 tries to do for me.
people who complain about 30FPS on console need to get a PC. PC gaming is way better. Consoles dont have the power to run games at high FPS unless its not a really demanding game. I went PC and never looked back. I have not bought a console since 2016

I'm on xbox and it doesn't bother me🤷♂️ why does it effect my life? I play and enjoy games on xbox people getting to play on playstation months or years later why does that effect me? 30fps doesn't matter we lived with it for generations now all of a sudden it unplayable.

People act like xbox as opened the door and let playstation take everything. Do I think they will put more on PS yes but what and how long they were exclusive is the point in their strategy. Timed exclusives or past exclusives coming to another platform help xbox people only see it from the console perspective instead of the fact xbox is putting their games everywhere. They also don't need playstation games they get money which then helps fund new projects, hardware and more acquisitions. In a recent interview at GamesCom phil let us know that Microsoft expects a return from xbox for all the money and support so let's say Microsoft are saying put it on playstation or else we stop the billions in support 🤷♂️

MHWilds isnt targetting 30fps. The demos just ran at that FPS because they are not finished with optimization.

Sony is not a monopoly because Xbox is owned by Microsoft which has PC. The games industry is shifting away from exclusives because games sell in the millions only when you sell on all platforms.
If anything Xbox is winning and Sony losing because Xbox has recognised the shift early and has already shifted to PC releases and gamepass on PC.
Dude, exclusives=more competition= better product. I’m sure we would all love to live in a world where everything comes out on every system, but that is not real life. Plenty of games sell in the millions on just a single platform, and that will continue so long as video games merely exist. If you ask me, they’re probably just trying to find a way to fund their excessively expensive games because game pass gives diminishing returns for them. Everything they’ve been doing lately just screams “I’m trying to make money back”, especially those layoffs, fuck Microsoft. Mfs see a company make a big move and now all of a sudden they’re expert financial analysts predicting the future of the console market with their elite skills of parroting low-iq Twitter posts and reaction bait videos.

Not to mention I've already pointed out the industry is shifting away from exclusives. Which proves it's not effective anymore. Sony is doing this as well. They were just slower to start.
Consoles have always been subsidised loss leading products. They buy market share and get people onto the ecosystem. But a combination of not meeting demand and not being fit for purpose has made it clear they need to sell on PC as well.

@@SirSugarSkull trust me it's incredibly noticeable. I remember when they added it to horizon zero dawn and it looked almost as good as forbidden west. Lies of p has an option to toggle it on or off and it's crazy how choppy it is at 30 fps

When they release these games at 30 fps , how do they then later on make them 60fps ? Not always but most of the time that is the case and it just shows you they release these games in an unfinished state and it’s sad. Like dogma 2 made by capcom who have been making games for decades couldn’t make it 60 but wukong runs at a locked 60 unreal.
It's really about the engines these companies use, but yeah it seems obvious that Microsoft during development is not prioritising 60fps which is a big mistake. All big PS5 games have at least a solid 60fps option.
If MS prioritized Xbox over PC, they would have actually made a profit...

World was near perfect, there isnt much room for improvement when the game, mechanics and monsters get better every time. If Wilds wants to stand a lone they really need to have a great focused story. MH isnt really known for its story content, but I think we are due. Yeah i have heard from some friends that they could not get into the Game aswell.
For me though it is my Favourite Melee Combat System ever.
Setting and Story are also great of course.
For me it's more the complete package: amazing main & side content, a story that stays interesting through the whole game (for me FF16 fell off near the end), better graphical/perfomance mode quality etc. Love FF16, but Ragnarok is a little above most of what ff16 tries to do for me.

people who complain about 30FPS on console need to get a PC. PC gaming is way better. Consoles dont have the power to run games at high FPS unless its not a really demanding game. I went PC and never looked back. I have not bought a console since 2016

I'm on xbox and it doesn't bother me🤷♂️ why does it effect my life? I play and enjoy games on xbox people getting to play on playstation months or years later why does that effect me? 30fps doesn't matter we lived with it for generations now all of a sudden it unplayable.
@@blakbear6528 I do have a PS5 (to play the exclusives there first) but I am primarily on PC. I think exlusives are anti-consumer. So I have zero issues with Xbox games coming to PlayStation. And I of course love PlayStation games coming to PC.

I would really hate to be someone who paid $500+ for "the most powerful console ever" and the games that are made specifically to launch on that hardware cannot achieve a stable 60fps.

People act like xbox as opened the door and let playstation take everything. Do I think they will put more on PS yes but what and how long they were exclusive is the point in their strategy. Timed exclusives or past exclusives coming to another platform help xbox people only see it from the console perspective instead of the fact xbox is putting their games everywhere. They also don't need playstation games they get money which then helps fund new projects, hardware and more acquisitions. In a recent interview at GamesCom phil let us know that Microsoft expects a return from xbox for all the money and support so let's say Microsoft are saying put it on playstation or else we stop the billions in support 🤷♂️
