You should do a what if on.... "If the Arbiter was infected by the flood" this would be interesting because so many plot points would play out completely differently like Delta Halo firing, The Schism, everything. And theres many possibilities though id say in the quarantine zone is where he gets infected. Itd be so interesting.

I liked this scenario. You should do more where things go wrong. That would be interesting. If you were to make a part 2 as a way to make it both tragic and have somewhat of a happy ending you could have the survivors fire the Rings and the Forerunner technology to make themselves into templates for the reseeding process to start again. That would be a cool ending being cyclical. What are some other IPs you plan on making “what ifs” for? Do you think you’d ever talk about Half-Life, or maybe even some of Sony’s IPs like Killzone and Resistance Fall of Man? Too bad aside from Alyx (which is an outlier) we haven’t seen anything else for Half-Life. There have been a few cancelled games like Return to Ravenholm/Episode 4, Hostile Takeover, and a few others (DidYouKnowGaming has a great video on them). Thankfully we have plenty of awesome mods to keep the series alive (now Halo will experience the same longevity from modders keeping it alive). As for Killzone and Resistance I unfortunately haven’t played them because I don’t own a PlayStation, and Sony has abandoned both series’s. Instead of wasting who knows how much time and money crying to the governments of the world to protect their market dominance they should’ve instead actually competed by putting those same resources into making MCC styled collections with graphical updates, and/or Dead Space/Resident Evil style remakes of the different games. They have so many great ips they could resurrect if done right. Unfortunately, that would actually make sense and post Microsoft becoming Megahard from boring Activision Blizzard (sorry, I just had to make the terrible joke) they went into a free fall and started mass firing people and cancelling various projects. We all knew the merger would hurt Sony in the long run, but NOBODY expected to to be within a matter of weeks rather than years. Hopefully they can recover because you need multiple big groups to keep competition going. If we’re lucky this will force them to start making rational choices. I also hope that Microsoft resurrects a lot of Activision Blizzard’s old ips, or at least just puts them onto stores and GamePass for preservation and accountability. I did consider them awakening the didact to fire the rings, but nothing was concrete. for other Waht Ifs, I thought of other games, and even anime, but i can tell you right now probably not SONY IP since im not a fan of Playstation really. I LOVED killzone when i was a teenager but I only played the first one and im so out of depth with that lore at this point. Personally I would love a starcraft First person horror game, A Marine in a Zerg invasion. an RPG of the first rpotoss Human war, The Events of Warcraft 1 and 2 retold in a First person RPG. My only question is the ending. You nailed the idea of them having to kill Halsey before she got infected but why didn't any of the other Spartans initiate their own failsafe nukes like how you had John attempt to do at the start? That would have been a good finale for Fred to at least take John down with him. But honestly after all that loss it's unlikely the Gravemind would ever lose after gaining so much information on Humanity and the Covenant. The only hope would be if the Covenant/Banish have human prisoners and manage to activate the rings or if they manage to stumble across Requiem early
I did think about having them self destruct but I wanted the emotional ending of Fred seeing John infected like that. However, I will conceive that him sacrificing to take out the Chief would’ve been a better ending. But I was committed to not having a happy ending. Not even bitter happy 😅 And the video didn’t do very well so I probably won’t do a part 2 until next year. I had an idea of how everything ends but didn’t wanna overwrite for it.

Sad AF... On a happier note, I just watched Spider-Man: Far From Home for the first time and I was like, DUDE! The amount of Stark Tech in this movie ALONE would revolutionize warfare for the UNSC if it was ever implemented. Question for the scenario tho: does Tony get knowledge about technology developed by people working for him like Beck or just the stuff he personally made/had experience with? Because Mysterio's tech, while developed by Stark Industries wasn't personally made by Tony himself but, well, Mysterio and a bunch of other people.
I think if I were to tackle that Idea, I would have Tony be very much so Like Dr. Halsey. Honestly i would probably have them end up together, and tony and Halsey work on Deciphering Covenant tech until they realize Covenant tech is childs play to Forerunners. Tony would probably find a way to crack forerunner tech During the Invasion of Reach, and Turn the battle against the covenant.

Because honestly, if you go later once he's had experience with various alien tech and other super tech encountered in the movies, it wouldn't take that long for him to decipher Forerunner tech. Like, dude would crack the code in a couple years at most if it was Endgame/End of his story Tony with all the nano-tech craziness and him figuring out quantum time travel and a gauntlet to utilize the infinity stones long enough to use them. I think going pre-Avengers, post Iron Man 2 Tony would be the best middle ground for the scenario you're thinking of running because he would lack experience with alien tech and reverse engineering it yet he's developed enough of his own tech at that point where he's game changing a lot of how the war turns out for the UNSC yet not enough that it'd be totally unbelievable that it would take him that long and at that moment on Reach for him to turn Forerunner tech against the covvies and save everyone's favorite Spartan Waifus, Noble Team and lead humanity to a new golden age where they have uncontested hegemony over the galaxy... minus the odd flood outbreak or two. But yes. Tony just before Avengers 1 kicks off would be the safest pick for your vision of how the chips fall.
I loved this story but 2 questions 1 7:21 how did the flood get a covenant ship? And escape halo with out the arbiter shooting them down? 2 at the end is that a new gravemind or the one form halo 2?
1) The covenant desperately wanted to stop The Demon from blowing up the Holy ring, this leaves them vulnerable to tactics That endanger the Halo. A Flood Spartan would have an easier time taking the Ascendant justice, much like how in the Books, Chief and the survivors do. Except this time, its backed up by the intellect of a protogravemind and powered by an undead Spartan. Also why only ONE ship makes it back to Reach. I had this whole fight planned out but I wanted to keep it vague. 2) New Gravemind, Formed from those that fell on Reach. Sharing a Hive mind with the one on 05.
I LOVE this idea BUT I think this is the route Infinite is going to take once they have camapaign dlc. I’m gonna wait and see and if they don’t do it. I will.
well its based on a nightmare I had where chief was brutally killed by flood and it showed cut scene of the weapon basically being depressed but then shes interrogated keys style and the grave mind was using cheifs voice to try and convince her to join him it was crazy

The first 2 minutes are directly from the book Halo: The Flood. Pages 320-322. It was in the pillar of autumn though.
