The premise is basically what would the Human-Covenant War look like if Mendicant Bias exposed the Prophets' lies and split the Covenant in half, based on belief and not race. How about instead, what if the Great Schism happened before the Battle of Harvest? Could be just Elites, Grunts, and Hunters asking Humanity to join them as the true Reclaimers, or races split down the middle again.
you have no idea how much i appreciate this. I figured I could make the fight even more vivid and better, but considering how many ideas I have for future videos I dont wanna start repeating myself.
Continue this story with an added bonus of the Didact returning. Because in the Didact's eyes, Humanity would be the master race of all the other races around the Galaxy and upheld the Mantle of Responsibility, but at great cost.
I loved the inclusion of the Spartans in this but from a tactical perspective I think the UNCS should have sent in robotic combatants to cleanse the infestation by the thousands until it was destroyed. But that probably wouldn’t have been as fun of a story to listen to so good job on this one.
See at first I thought the same thing, but the logic plague would make it so it would be way easier to infect the robots over the Spartans. In my opinion. Plus imma be 100% honest. I wanted an excuse to have so many Spartans.
@@IvanicohG Yeah I was thinking The Flood would probably try to use something like that to disrupt or take down the robots but maybe with the forerunner advancements it would be harder or take longer for them to be destroyed. I doubt the UNSC could just nuke the flood because it would cause damage to the ring. Chemical weapons probably wouldn’t work either. What if they could put slip space bombs on the sections of the Infected ring, with preset coordinates into the heart of a star? Nvm even that would destroy the ring😂

Here’s an interesting what if: What if the UNSC were successfully able to assassinate Thel Vadam (the arbiter) before the discovery of the first Halo like Locke suggested? How would the events after the fall of Reach play out? Who would be the best candidate to perform said assassination? And most importantly, would the human covenant war end any differently? Would there be a great schism without the arbiter to light the spark? Would there be a changing of the guard in the covenant? Would we even get to that point because maybe the Alpha Halo was never destroyed by master chief.

Reach is, in terms of slipspace travel, pretty close to Earth, so first contact would've occurred a few centuries earlier. The Covenant also wouldn't have Brutes and the Human-Covenant War Hierarchs would not yet exist.
This is a crossover. What if The Galactic Republic from star wars found a halo ring before or during the clone wars? I kinda wanna see how it plays out.

Thank you very much, this was a LOT of work. The timing on music and avoiding having ANY covenant on screen until the reveal at the end of part 3 we’re the biggest challenges and I think it shows how much effort I put into it. :)
This is a great story as always but I do have one issue with it. I find it highly unlikely that the insurrectionist would even be able to get into the system that houses Installation 04 before getting blown into oblivion. The fleet guarding an asset such as a forerunner construct would be the greatest defense fleet in galaxy with the only thing rivaling it being High Charities Defense fleet. So yeah like I said highly unlikely the insurrection is putting boots on the ground.
Yeah I thought so too, but the main goal was to release the flood without crippling the UNSC. So in that vain, I emphasized the fact that humanity was so eager to find more forerunner technology that it spread too thin. On top of that, I had all insurrection factions band together. The way I reconcile it within myself is, it’s an unexpected attack and they threw EVERYTHING they had at it. Like how insurrectionists temporarily hijacked Infinity in January 2553 in the main timeline, you can’t protect against an attack you don’t see coming. One last thing: UNSC wasn’t worried about the insurrection, they were more worried about the flood getting out. And so they call in a massive fleet once the attack starts. TLDR: I really. Reeeeally appreciate you watching, and even more so that you took time to comment your thoughts.

Oh buddy, no. Just no. Reach in this timeline is a fortress SO strong. It would take EVERYTHING the covenant has to bring it down. Not on its own but considering how the main timeline INSC recalled all Spartans and 60% of all ships. Also defense is easier than offense
What if the UNSC were on an equal level of technology from the start of the war. I personally think if humans managed to hold on for 28 years against a far more numerous and superior foe then with the same level of technology would fare significantly better of. I’d argue with humanity’s ingenuity, they would actually beat the covanent. The only thing humans were really lacking in the war were good ships, on the ground they were dead even.
Sure they would’ve been on technical equal footing but The Covenant still had the numerical advantage so humanity would still probably be losing but just not as badly and could have a chance of winning
It would have been much better had they discovered Installation 04 before Reach fell, but too late to draw much technological benefit from it. Something like trying to use Installation 04 as a sanctuary and fortress, daring the Covenant to attack a sacred Ring and using its defences to blast apart any covenant warship
I was really torn between when to make humanity discover halo, but ultimately the date I chose felt better to me as it would help humanity advance very fast but NOT enough. And it would allow for Spartan badassery Thank you for watching
Great content and I really love how you wrote the script for this video! You gave me a lot of ideas on how to write my own Halo fanfictions. So, I would like to present an idea of my own: What if Humanity discovered Ancient Human or Forerunner technology before the Human-Covenant War?
That would be very similar to this BUT. I was thinking of doing something very similar to begin with. Because later on either on October or November. I was thinking of one video where the UNSC STOMPS and one where they absolutely lose the war. That being said. Thank you very much, and just know that in one of the upcoming videos. Humanity IS going to find a lot of technology very early. Very fast.
@@IvanicohG Hell yeah, brother! I also love Halo stories where Humanity stomp the shit out of the Covenant. In fact, I am working on at least one project where Humanity curb-stomps the Covenant thanks to reverse-engineered Forerunner technology right now. Initially, I wanted to make it Ancient Human technology but the lore on that is too limited to use. Instead, I switched over to Forerunner technology instead. Now that you think about it, Modern Humanity should have discovered ancient Forerunner technology first, not the Covenant. While the Prophet or San’Shyuum and Sangheili discovered Forerunner technology on their worlds long before Humanity became spacefaring, Humanity found almost nothing, not until the Covenant dug them up on Human worlds. If the Forerunners wanted Humanity to become the Reclaimers, they should spread their relics and tech depots closer to Human space, rather than that of the other races.
I can’t wait to hear or read your story! I think that’s the biggest flaw in halo. Like it’s the biggest point of the story and you’re telling me Earth was such a hotspot for forerunner tech but was never found? It’s honestly a plot breaking point I try not to think about
@@IvanicohG I know right? I love Halo of the Bungie era but I dislike these plot holes so much. And don’t even get me started on the lore scale problem in the Halo universe. The information on ship size of the UNSC warships is very off because the ships must be scaled up at least 2.65 times in order for the ships to carry enough equipment & personnel for planetary missions. For instance, the UNSC Pillar of Autumn in lore is only 1.2 km in length when in reality, the Autumn should have been at least 3.7 km in length in order to fit all those Pelicans, Longswords, Scorpions, and other vehicles in her. Similarly, the UNSC Spirit of Fire should have been 6.6 km in order to carry all those vehicles, personnel, and equipment to terraform and colonize entire planets. I would like to imagine Corbulo Academy using forerunner armigers and warrior servant weapons to train for not only the insurrection but the flood too. I mean laskey could not only doubt about fighting colonists but ponder that why the precursors would entrust the mantle of responsibility to humanity and thousands had to die in wars because of it.
Really liked the initial parts, the latter was more of a mixed bag, though with some moments. Have no love for what 343 has written after they took over
@@IvanicohG I think that the spartan fight in part 3 was kind of hard to get a good grip on what was really going on, I think it lacked a bit of flesh so to speak. Though fleshing that out to a larger degree would unfortunately require a pretty significant amount of investment. I also kind of get the impression that they are just standing there looking as Spartans are defeated and turned by how the events are described. And also the fact that they ended up being saved by Spartans thought to be dead seems a bit weird, i would have liked an explanation for that. I also think that the George death tangent feels a bit of as there suddenly is a lot of focus on a so far unmentioned character, i think the amount of focus placed on that event feels a bit out of place when compared to the general style of the story, but might just be me. Part 4 The prophet activating the ring released the flood? After the describing how inescapable the situation with the flood in the control room was, just saving them with guilty sparks shield feels a bit deus ex machina. Could maybe have used a power we know the monitors possess like teleportation/transportation? Or establish the power earlier. I think a lot of the problems are simply that there is a lot happening being condensed down into a 45 minute video There is also the section in part 2 where guilty spark show them the 'forerunners' that i take issue with, but that is more on a personal note as I subscribe to the Bungie lore rather than the 343 version, as in Bungie's version it is pretty clearly stated that the 'forerunners' are simply just the ancient ancestors of the humans and not their own species. Hope this is of any use.
Just one complaint: The Insurrection getting wiped wouldn't make a lot of sense, as risking it all to acquire technology that rebels probably couldn't reproduce isn't very logical. Getting the massive myriad of rebel factions with different goals to all coordinate would also be near impossible. It's also very unreasonable and impractical to deploy a billion soldiers on a Halo ring.
Ok so here’s the thing, the insurrection, isn’t entirely wiped out but I believe the UNSC starts to kick their as* so hard they all have to start working together, and once the location of halo leaks they would risk it in order to Control Halo. I know it’s a bit too convenient though I don’t deny it. But putting the insurrection on the path I put them was the only way I could logically rationalize the rest. Like the release of the flood. Because if the war with the insurrection was going better they wouldn’t have sanctioned the Spartan Program. And I really wanted to have 150 Spartans 😅 Also I did the math the halo could easily fit 1B bodies. There’s also underground levels within the Halo. What wouldn’t be deseable would be defeating 1B flood bodies.
The war went way different in this timeline. There is a few timeline issues I had, but to make this match with all the Ideas Dakota and I had, Some events just happen sooner or later. TLDR: I wanted Noble-6 to be recently graduated in case I ever follow up on this timeline.
If all of them survived to when they found Halsey then someone would be sent to protect her which would’ve probably still been Jun and someone would need to man the gun and let the Autumn escape which probably would’ve been Carter. In CE I believe having Chief, 6, Jorge, Emile, and Kat on the ring and they would’ve saved Keyes, Echo-419, Raven team, and a lot more marines. I don’t really want to write a whole lot so I’ll just stop at CE
heres a what if idea for halo that might be good. slipspace malfuction on a covenant ship during the battle of earth causes a covenant supercarrier to reach earth... in february 1942 and fights a ww2 era united earth.
I wanted to do a what if the covenant invaded Earth today. And I think depending if people watched that, I would branch out to what if they attacked during WW2 and even during the medical times and how it would shape history.
I'm currently writing "What If The Covenant found Earth" and not to spoil anything, but his fleet is going to actually be making an appearance here. and things dont look too good for the humans so far.

@@IvanicohG Well now that you mention it there’s a few ways that could happen. Maybe Major Silva does seem like more of a leader than Keys leading to a mutiny. How does Chief deal with that? Perhaps Silva becomes more successful than anticipated and makes more gains against the covenant and prevents the flood outbreak somehow. There’s also the chance that Silva and his ragtag marines are successful in getting the Truth and Reconciliation to Earth. I love this scenario because of the factors and ways it can go.

It doesn't matter if humanity found Halo first, the Infinity would've never been built so soon. After the discovery of the covenant, your story doesn't make sense.
Why do you think that infinity wouldn’t have been built? They had 25 years more of experience with Forerunner technology without having to worry about the war. Plenty of advancements would’ve happened.
@@IvanicohG yes, but not enough to make a difference in the war, they have the tech, but no infrastructure capable of utilizing that tech. for example you don't see British building ironclads until the USS constitution was built even though they had the knowledge. using technology takes time, a lot more than a mere 25 years. a perfect example of such a thing is tanks, when they first started they were paper thin boxes of steel with machine guns as armaments 80 years later they are MBT's with howitzer grade cannons. that example took 80 years with 20 of that being redesign, you are talking shoving millions of years worth of advancement into a span of mere 20 years with no existing infrastructure to support it. it just is not realistically a feasible timeframe.

I went with 25 as a possible number of ships they can build within the given time frame. And 7 survived as a show that not all of them got wiped out, but it’s the bungee number :) I had SO much fun making this story and seeing that people still watch it makes me so happy.

While the Prophet or San’Shyuum and Sangheili discovered Forerunner technology on their worlds long before Humanity became spacefaring, Humanity found almost nothing, not until the Covenant dug them up on Human worlds. If the Forerunners wanted Humanity to become the Reclaimers, they should spread their relics and tech depots closer to Human space, rather than that of the other races.
I can’t wait to hear or read your story! I think that’s the biggest flaw in halo. Like it’s the biggest point of the story and you’re telling me Earth was such a hotspot for forerunner tech but was never found? It’s honestly a plot breaking point I try not to think about
@@IvanicohG I know right? I love Halo of the Bungie era but I dislike these plot holes so much. And don’t even get me started on the lore scale problem in the Halo universe. The information on ship size of the UNSC warships is very off because the ships must be scaled up at least 2.65 times in order for the ships to carry enough equipment & personnel for planetary missions. For instance, the UNSC Pillar of Autumn in lore is only 1.2 km in length when in reality, the Autumn should have been at least 3.7 km in length in order to fit all those Pelicans, Longswords, Scorpions, and other vehicles in her. Similarly, the UNSC Spirit of Fire should have been 6.6 km in order to carry all those vehicles, personnel, and equipment to terraform and colonize entire planets. There are other issues regarding Halo lore.

I would like to imagine Corbulo Academy using forerunner armigers and warrior servant weapons to train for not only the insurrection but the flood too. I mean laskey could not only doubt about fighting colonists but ponder that why the precursors would entrust the mantle of responsibility to humanity and thousands had to die in wars because of it.

@@IvanicohG I think that the spartan fight in part 3 was kind of hard to get a good grip on what was really going on, I think it lacked a bit of flesh so to speak. Though fleshing that out to a larger degree would unfortunately require a pretty significant amount of investment. I also kind of get the impression that they are just standing there looking as Spartans are defeated and turned by how the events are described. And also the fact that they ended up being saved by Spartans thought to be dead seems a bit weird, i would have liked an explanation for that.
I also think that the George death tangent feels a bit of as there suddenly is a lot of focus on a so far unmentioned character, i think the amount of focus placed on that event feels a bit out of place when compared to the general style of the story, but might just be me.
Part 4
The prophet activating the ring released the flood?
After the describing how inescapable the situation with the flood in the control room was, just saving them with guilty sparks shield feels a bit deus ex machina. Could maybe have used a power we know the monitors possess like teleportation/transportation? Or establish the power earlier.
I think a lot of the problems are simply that there is a lot happening being condensed down into a 45 minute video
There is also the section in part 2 where guilty spark show them the 'forerunners' that i take issue with, but that is more on a personal note as I subscribe to the Bungie lore rather than the 343 version, as in Bungie's version it is pretty clearly stated that the 'forerunners' are simply just the ancient ancestors of the humans and not their own species.

This is like #6 on my current list so I’ll get to it sooner rather than later
Flood escapes, consumes the galaxy, the end.
Just one complaint: The Insurrection getting wiped wouldn't make a lot of sense, as risking it all to acquire technology that rebels probably couldn't reproduce isn't very logical.
Getting the massive myriad of rebel factions with different goals to all coordinate would also be near impossible.
It's also very unreasonable and impractical to deploy a billion soldiers on a Halo ring.
Ok so here’s the thing, the insurrection, isn’t entirely wiped out but I believe the UNSC starts to kick their as* so hard they all have to start working together, and once the location of halo leaks they would risk it in order to Control Halo.
I know it’s a bit too convenient though I don’t deny it. But putting the insurrection on the path I put them was the only way I could logically rationalize the rest. Like the release of the flood. Because if the war with the insurrection was going better they wouldn’t have sanctioned the Spartan Program. And I really wanted to have 150 Spartans 😅
Also I did the math the halo could easily fit 1B bodies. There’s also underground levels within the Halo. What wouldn’t be deseable would be defeating 1B flood bodies.
Why was the time skip to 2544 and not 2552
The war went way different in this timeline. There is a few timeline issues I had, but to make this match with all the Ideas Dakota and I had, Some events just happen sooner or later. TLDR: I wanted Noble-6 to be recently graduated in case I ever follow up on this timeline.

If all of them survived to when they found Halsey then someone would be sent to protect her which would’ve probably still been Jun and someone would need to man the gun and let the Autumn escape which probably would’ve been Carter.
In CE I believe having Chief, 6, Jorge, Emile, and Kat on the ring and they would’ve saved Keyes, Echo-419, Raven team, and a lot more marines. I don’t really want to write a whole lot so I’ll just stop at CE

heres a what if idea for halo that might be good. slipspace malfuction on a covenant ship during the battle of earth causes a covenant supercarrier to reach earth... in february 1942 and fights a ww2 era united earth.
I wanted to do a what if the covenant invaded Earth today. And I think depending if people watched that, I would branch out to what if they attacked during WW2 and even during the medical times and how it would shape history.
What if Xytan Jar Watinree and his fleet wasn’t blown up?
I'm currently writing "What If The Covenant found Earth" and not to spoil anything, but his fleet is going to actually be making an appearance here. and things dont look too good for the humans so far.

@@IvanicohG Well now that you mention it there’s a few ways that could happen. Maybe Major Silva does seem like more of a leader than Keys leading to a mutiny. How does Chief deal with that?
Perhaps Silva becomes more successful than anticipated and makes more gains against the covenant and prevents the flood outbreak somehow.
There’s also the chance that Silva and his ragtag marines are successful in getting the Truth and Reconciliation to Earth.
I love this scenario because of the factors and ways it can go.

Why do you think that infinity wouldn’t have been built? They had 25 years more of experience with Forerunner technology without having to worry about the war. Plenty of advancements would’ve happened.

for example you don't see British building ironclads until the USS constitution was built even though they had the knowledge.
using technology takes time, a lot more than a mere 25 years.
a perfect example of such a thing is tanks, when they first started they were paper thin boxes of steel with machine guns as armaments 80 years later they are MBT's with howitzer grade cannons.
that example took 80 years with 20 of that being redesign, you are talking shoving millions of years worth of advancement into a span of mere 20 years with no existing infrastructure to support it.
it just is not realistically a feasible timeframe.

I went with 25 as a possible number of ships they can build within the given time frame. And 7 survived as a show that not all of them got wiped out, but it’s the bungee number :) I had SO much fun making this story and seeing that people still watch it makes me so happy.
