tried figuring this out on my own and got very close, (used heel yarn for 1st set of pick up instead of yarn for foot! then switched to yarn for foot.) I need to try your weaving technique.
Hello ! thank you ! thank you very much pour avoir régler les sous-titres pour le français ! Vous me sauvez !
Thanks. You always teach this old sock knitter something new. I can’t wait for the next part... l prefer heal flap gusset on my socks but would love to use short row heels for gifted socks .
Hello from California. Just found your tutorials and am so pleased that they validate some of the technics I have been using by instinct (totally self-taught). Just finished my second pair of chunky yarn socks and am eagerly awaiting the arrival of some sock yarn to try out the shortie sock. Love your videos and your enthusiasm.
I'm am relieved to see you making a mistake, like I would, and then taking the time to show us how to correct the mistake. Another great tutorial. Thank you.
Thank you for your instruction. I love to see you knit real time. It ensures me that I am not as bad at knitting as I feel. I am really getting a lot of practice in fixing my mistakes. Your clear and concise instructions and demonstrations makes it easy for me to see what should be done and why. I finished my 5 th pair of socks. I changed colors on the toe, heel and cuff. The ribbing looks great. I’ll post the picture on Instagram.
I know I'm late to the party but better late than ever. I'm going to cast on I've knit socks before but I still can't get the heels proper so here I go again. I'm just new with self stripping yarn and I can't wait to build up my stash so I can get all these beautiful colors. Tkx for doing this and I really Enjoy and look forward to your podcasts. Your voice is so soothing. Tkx again 💚 collinsknits
Hi Denise. This the first of your videos that I have watched. It was awesome! I have been knitting socks for the past several years, and I learned some things from this video that I wii definitely use in future socks!😊. Thank you for doing this and your other videos. I love learning from others and seeing how they do something, because they may have an easier, better way than mine. Thanks. I’m excited to watch the other videos in the series.🙏. Michaeline
Hey Denise, I love your tutorials. It gives me something to watch while I'm working from home. Did you show how to avoid the job with a solid color, or did I miss it? Thank you again.. Happy knitting.. :)
Hi Laura, Thank you so much for watching! Yes I did cover avoiding the jog in Changing Colors Pt 1: Cuffs, Rounds and Knitting In As You Go. I demonstrate how to lift the leg of the stitch below the row you’re on and knitting the two stitches together. That avoids the jog.
Thank you🥰, I do have a ?- when you hit the foot, where do you change colour, ( as beginning of round is smack in the middle bottom of the foot,), do you change colour on the side? Thanks you for the tutorial🙂
Is there a way to do this where you don't cut the original yarn color? I usually use the fish lips kiss heel and I never disconnect the main color when I'm using the contrast color for the heel, that way I can just pick the original yarn back up with less tails to weave in. Now I'm trying a heel flap and heel turn, is there a way to use that same strategy? I tend to use self striping yarn, so I would rather not lose any of the stripe pattern to the ends to weave in. It's not that big of a deal I guess but one of the stripes would be narrower than the rest
Denise, I finished my socks and I am so thrilled!! I wanted to ask if you were still planning to do a "2 at a time tutorial". I was able to fumble my way for part of the way but I would love to see how you do it. Thank you again - you are a fantastic teacher!!
One thing I dislike is picking up stitches. It’s just one thing I’m not very good at. I do like the gusset and slip stitch heel but wish I enjoyed the picking up of stitches more. I did watch your tutorials on that and they were great!
Hi Toby, That is the beauty of knitting...having options!! Some heels can start with a purl, some can start with a knit, some can start with a slip stitch!! It’s all so awesome!!!
Thank you for the advice on knitting socks, you are an amazing teacher
You are so welcome!
Another great video. Thank you Denise. Love that of my current socks one will be the "before" and the other will be the "after". x
Hi Ian!!! Thank you SO much my friend!!!
Truly enjoy your nice slow way of teaching. Loved the changing color advice.
Hi Phyllis, Thank you so very much for your lovely comment. I am so happy you’re enjoying the tutorials.

I meant the jog not job. Gotta love auto correct..
Hi Laura,
Thank you so much for watching!

Hi! Like everytime: l love your vids!
Thank you so much!!!

You can start on the bottom of the foot or on the side. It's knitters choice.

Yes, there is a way. You just have to make sure your MC is in the right place when you are ready for it again!!
Can we still weave in ends as we go in 9" circulars?
Hi Becky, yes you absolutely can.
Hi! Nice to see you.
Its wonderful to be seen!! Thanks so much for watching Celeste!

Hi Jeni, I think the more you practice the better you will get at it and the less you will dislike it. Be patient with yourself and take your time!!
Where do I find class 1 that I missed
Hi Sherry,
All the classes are here on my youtube channel and I've added a link to Class 1 in the description box.
Hallo !!!!! Very super fantastic 👍👍bravissima 😃❤️🍀🍀🧶🧶💋
Thank you so much Azzurra!!!
