      Thank you for your comment! I'm posting another one soon on how to make the bucket chicken waterer lid close with a water heater. You won't want to miss that one. It's very similar and easy to do--but it makes a big difference.

    Can I use the regular poultry nipples on the side, or did you use those cupping ones?

      I use "regular" horizontal chicken nipples in this demo. They have a tiny trough at the bottom. However, I didn't show this in the video, but I also use a cup style waterer for my chickens. I have a bucket waterer with two nipples and one cup. I do this so that I can learn what style chickens prefer. I'm going to be doing a video on that at some point. (Spoiler alert: at this point they don't seem to prefer one style over the other). One advantage of using the horizontal nipple is that they can be used in freezing temps with a water heater or deicer.
