  • This is a simple hack that will help you convert a simple bucket chicken waterer into a heated chicken waterer.

    The plug she was using is call 2" test plug, used when you pressure test a pipe for leaks.

    Do you have links to the products you used? I can't find a endcap like that, only ones that go over top of the PVC.

    Will this work on a 5 gal cooler lid.

      I don't think it will as there is insulation in the cooler lid. I actually haven't tried it with the 5 gallon cooler lid, so honestly I'm just guessing that it wouldn't.

    Can this be used with the drink cups, and not the nipples?

      No, unfortunately, the nipples are the only thing that will stay thawed (with a heater). Since the water in the drink cups are outside of the water being heated, they will freeze even with a heater. Once they thaw, they will work again.
