- 3D Pixel art medieval village made in Godot 4.2.
I'm trying to create a combination of a simulated 2D pixel art look with a modern lighting and shadows, and also the versatility of using 3D models. This is my progress so far.

This looks freaking amazing! I know you've already been asked plenty, but a tutorial or even a small sample scene to get an idea on how you achieved this look would be massively appreciated!
how about ruclips.net/video/evdzg3c-Zho/видео.html
Look up crockotile! There are videos on direct import to Godot and Unity
T3ssl8ter actually has a pretty good tutorial on how to do something to this effect if you look him up.
Theres a little guide he made on imgur
@@kaviscorea8302 I can't find it, so how can I find it on imgur?
I would appreciate it if you could let me know.
oh nvm I could have just pasted the link properly lmao, but yes, that should be it
Inspiring. I'm a 60 yr old just starting out with Godot and work like this really makes me work hard to learn the program (and the modelling software to build such work!)
Thank you for sharing.
Good luck with your project..
No matter your age, just make something huh?.
@@Siranoxz Thanks mate!
That's a lot of work lol.
@@jnoirj3124 Thank you - I have the time. I also worked 20 years as a teacher in British further education and we worked like stink. I'm in a new career in private industry now which pays more but I work 1/4 of the pace I used to. Energy and time to burn 🤣🤣🤣
@@jnoirj3124What isn’t?
People have been asking for a tutorial because this looks extremely beautiful. I'd love to learn from game devs too, but I think I'd like to play whatever you have in mind more. Hopefully you release something and don't just abandon this project :)
Thank you, honestly I have some game ideas that I would love to make with this style, but I'm also currently trying to find a better job and I'm doing whatever freelance work that I can find, so I don't have much time
@@eduardoschildt even if you took five minutes to explain some behind the scenes....I think it'd help a lot of people learn something new! There isn't much info on this sort of thing out there
@@eduardoschildt You could set up a ko-fi or patreon alongside the tutorial. I would be happy to pay if it means learning to make something this beautiful.
@@eduardoschildt maybe sell a course on doing this? Offer some paid trainings on producing this? Literally could reuse this scene.
@@eduardoschildt I'd pay money for a tutorial on how to create such a beautiful environment. If you create one you're bound to make lots of passive income from it.
Pretttyy. Imagine being a child playing in this world. An absolute core memory will be set for em.. awww
When i saw this i went "damn dats some good pixel art." but when you rotated the camera i went apeshit. Its amazing to see people exploring the possibilities with this engine. I really havent put much time in to game development myself but its something i absolutely want to do. Stuff like this is amazing.
That is simply perfection. Like, that is peak graphics for a game with that kind of style, it simply cannot get better than that
This is so cool. 3D pixel art and procedural pixel art in general are some of my favourite visual effects, and yours looks amazing
sembrerebbe l'ennesimo caso di mafia ed evasori
It's absolutely lovely! The vibes, the colors, the music!
This looks amazing. Love the colors and everything about it. Keep up the good work!
This is a crazy good looking art style. Hope you continue with it!
Mind-blowing work! I am unbelievably impressed.
A pretty unique and fantastic art style! Looks like a mix of pixel and celshading to my eyes, and I've never seen anything like it before. Congrats on amazing skills!
This is one of the most beautiful things I've seen made in Godot!!!
This looks so good. it is amazing how far you have come with this style since i first saw your videos
Wow this looks absolutely gorgeous. Great job dude!
Holy shit that's beautiful!
Great scene. Looks excellent. The lighting is beautiful. The opening with the light against the grass.. that is very nice.
This is absolutely gorgeous !
This looks absolutely stunning!
That's insane how it looks good from all angles....
I was amazed at first just looking at the scenery, then my jaw dropped after you rotated the scene. This just looks so clean, well done!
I simply enjoy watching this. Nice work.
Simply beautiful. Great work - please keep posting updates
Looking sooo beautiful!!
You have no idea how jealous I am of your talent and results. Perfectly encapsulates the feeling of what I'd like my game idea (Duskray Throne) to have for afternoons in the northern grasslands of Sherfiel.
Thank you, really appreciate it! But being completely honest I didn't come up with anything that I'm doing, I'm just following tutorial and adapting things to get the results that I want
@@eduardoschildt what tutorial did you base this on?
@@eduardoschildt I would also appreciate it if you could tell me what kind of course it is!
@@eduardoschildt what tutorial?
@@eduardoschildt so what's the tutorial, my dude?
This is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. Good job, sir!
Thank you, I wasn't expecting so many people watching and enjoying it. It really motivates me to keep working on the project.
@@eduardoschildt Please do, I'd love to see more!
I would also love to see how you achieved this. Not a "tutorial" per se but rather a generic way of outlining the steps you took to get there.
Great work! I watched the beginning and was like "wau" nice shadows, how are they so good? There is some serious shader magic going on here. Then the view changed. Very nice 3D with pixelart shaders, and looks so good. I was literally laughing out loud how nice it looked. Made my day.
Amazing work, I would love a explanation on how you did this, congratulations
That looks so cool and relaxing. Great work!
Absolutely gorgeous, great work!
The roof tiles are especially beautiful. Seeing so much texture and depth in a "2D" style is mesmerizing
Took a moment for my eyes to interpret it as pixelart. Very charming and wonderful lighting.
Looks absolutely insane. I can think of a few classic games that could be remade with this art style.
The way my dream MMO would look. 3d but pixel art. this is fantastic looking.
This is incredibly visually impressive, regardless of the engine. Well done!
absolutely stunning style. Well done
Smashed it out of the park again :) Gives me ol' Golden sun vibes but thrown in the modern day. Great stuff
Seiken Densetu 3 Duran's starting town.
This video is the most impressive pixel scene I've seen in my life.
I know it's been a while since you posted this video, but this looks amazing. I'm aspiring game developer, looking around for the arts, technology and other stuff, but your video impress me a lot. 3D Pixelart is WOW, just WOW. I wish to know how to start something like this.
This is really beautiful.
The style you achieved is beautiful
Looks amazing! Keep up the good work!
Isso ficou simplesmente incrivel. Essa místura do 3d com pixel art é mt massa.
Looks breathtaking!
Excellent, just excellent my guy. Looking forwars to what you'll create next 🙏
Beautiful work!
I grew up with the very first bunch of RPG Makers in the early 2000s... this stuff blows my mind! I love it ! So good
Was so excited to finally play my dreamlike city building game
Wow u got great skills
This is so stunning!
Awesome, buddy!! Looks more fantastic every upload. You know it's good when RUclips thinks it's Stardew Valley
There is something beautiful about 2D art and the fact that we can achieve 2D art with 3D is SO AMAZING :D This makes me want to work on my game idea again :D Still have a video editor to finish first xp
Absolutely gorgeous!
wow, it looks amazing! I love it!
A old gen style pokemon game with these graphics would go really hard.
I was thinking the same thing
It looks beautiful. I can already see some kind of JRPG characters walking around that marketplace
That's some crazy creativity
absolutely gorgeous
Damn! This is amazing!! We need a game with this graphics. Great job.
Fantastic! This is the sort of style that speaks to me.
Very good shaders work! It looks great!
Amazing. Gorgeous stuff.
This looks amazing!!! I want to walk around this place!
Wow. I am gobsmacked. You have inspired me to create a curated play list of fabulous looking 3D projects in Godot 4.
you are an artist, beautiful scenery
Looks beautiful!
That lighting is beautiful
Looks soo good, I'm happy you recreate this effect in Godot, it looks soo for. If you make it a plug-in it would be amazing!
Looks amazing, congrats.
Absolutely Gorgeous!
Gosh, this is beautiful.
this is gorgeous
My god this is freaking gorgeous
This is gorgeous! I hope to learn similar techniques someday
So beautiful! I appreciate pixel art for its smooth and vibrant aesthetic, which I find more appealing than the often overly detailed and "realistic" 3D art.
Bonito demais Eduardo! Continue trabalhando nessa idéia!
Parabéns mano! Me impressionei quando vi que tu era BR. Queria que tivesse mais brasileiros interessados por esse tipo de coisa igual eu...
Look forward to more excellent works
Wow, this looks like it would make for an awesome game world.
I had this exact thought. Very well executed!
Very beautiful and inspiring.
