Not to mention that JID is an amazing vocalist and the songs where he takes more of a singing/r&b approach such as Hereditary, All Bad, Workin Out, and Kody Blu 31 really showcase how talented of an artist JID really is
Hot take but when JID retires he will be top 5 all time. Its rare, like insanely rare to see an artist at these levels only in their 3rd album whilst also never missing on features. Like look at every top 10-15 rapper and every single one of themselves career started off like JIDs is. Kendrick, Cole, Biggie, 2Pac, Eminem etc all had the exact same trajectory as JID did at the beginning of their discography, except I (personally) think JID has more potential as his natural skill at rapping is matched by very few
I first heard JID on Ed, Edd and Eddy And instantly thought he was going to make waves, then I heard working out and it confirmed my suspicions entirely.
I hope that you're right with The Forever Story being a part of something bigger. Tis album is my favourite of this year. I always believed in JID's potential as an artist since 2018, not just s rapper. Kody Blu 31 is my favourite track off the album. The singing is so smooth 🥺
The fact that no one mentions JID's verse on Reaper by Boombox Cartel from 2021 is a damn shame. Dude for sure wasn't asleep 'til 2022, everyone else just was.
IMO this video is more a history on JID rather than an analysis of what actually makes him a genius. I would love to see an actual analysis of what makes his music special, I totally get the yt stuff tho for titles.
I mean i don't think jid is having a 'career resurgence' since he's pretty much been on the come up the entire time he's been on, but other than that mannn I really love this style of videos, the editing is superb and your voice is very charismatic. Keep it up brother 🙏

Artist of the year for me

every time i wanna put someone onto JID i just play "slick talk" for 'em and let JID speak for himself 😭
They added 2007 to the never story since this recording
Still mad that he didn't get nominated for Album of the Year.....
I don’t care what anybody says. The Forever Story is the best album of the year. Flawless from front to back
off the zoinkys is the best shit I've ever heard.
Album of the year
I have the utmost faith that by the end of his time JID will have taken his spot as one of the greatest rappers of all time.
Not to mention Bruuuh which he re-released this year with a Denzel feature, it's a great song

been listening to jid since 7th grade. i’m a senior now n it’s so great to see him get the recognition i thought he deserved for years now.

bro adding that bit of Costa Rica made me smile.

Thank you for the time... JID reminds me of hardgrind but sliding glass door smooth
