Album of the year. For a majority of the year I thought it was going to be melt my eyez, but I think I give the edge to forever story now. Kendrick fucking dropped. Denzel dropped. Saba dropped. Logic. Black thought. Westside boogie. Joey. Smino (luv 4 rent is my favorite album of the year, but Forever story is just a better overall album). So many insanely good albums this year. 2022 will be considered as one of the best years for hip hop ever, and JID is on the top of the mountain in my opinion. That’s nuts

Maybe “The Rise of JID” or something just because it does feel more like an explanation of exactly that.
It does suck tho that JID doesn’t sell like his peers, though. DiCaprio 2 sold like 17K first week, The Forever Story sold 30K. Compare that to someone like Lil Baby whose last album sold 216K or Gunna who sold 150K. I could go on and on. But if people really enjoy this kinda music as much as they claim to, they need to stream it more. Denzel Curry only pushed 15K this year. That sucks, man. Y’all fans need to do better to support these artists.
