As someone who has several afternoon shifts, the hottest time of the day, at a barn in Arizona, I feel this on a spiritual level LMAO and now it's monsoon season so I'm dealing with 100+ and 40%+ humidity
Man I work in Saudi Arabia the worst shift is the afternoon because it going to be 131 Fahrenheit even the air-conditioning is struggling to cool the place , we keep the horses wet to help them cool off , and try to keep the ground clean because it's wet and hot , and it a lovely place for pests to coltvaite., it really tough up in here to keep a place with expensive horses clean.
Spent all day cleaning today. I just kept telling myself “it will make my horse happier in the longrun..it will make my horse happier in the longrun.. it will make my horse..”
Not fun on days like these. No matter what you pursue in life, it's not going to be fun all the time. I'm wishing for cooler weather, so the horse and I got energy for riding again 😥
@@ponytails8333 awww so cute I love great danes! Southwest Louisiana here! 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for making me feel less alone in the daily struggle. We lost our trees in the hurricanes last year so I’m putting my mares in their stalls each day from around 11:30 until Late evening. I totally identify with everything in your video except eating the fly supplements…. Haven’t tried that one yet! 🤣🤣🤣 I’m counting the days til mid October when it will be so much better! I don’t ride at all in the summer. ☹️
Here in the Yosemite foothills, I have to do my horsey stuff between 5:30am - 8am or 6:30pm - 8pm. I guess we lucky it’s a dry-heat without humidity. Of course only through summer and early fall. Your videos always make me laugh while enjoying my morning coffee, Cheers
This is hilarious, and SO true ! I was wondering if you had a 'winter' version of this ? I live in southern Ontario, so here's my 'Equestrians in Winter' list- which would also apply to your own northern states that get cold and snowy ! :) "I've got on SO many ' layers , I can't even get up on my horse - let alone ride him !" " Do I really have to use a hammer to de-ice ALL these water buckets ?! " " I'm sure I feel fingers rattling around in these mitts of mine..." " I can't feel my toes/ fingers/ cheeks ( pick one) - is that a 'bad thing' ?! " "Too bad the only trail is on the other side of this big field of ice..." " Okay, it's time : We need a heated seat in the outhouse...!!! " " It's so cold out - I feel sort of sorry for the horses... how about we just hang out in the nice, heated tackroom ?!" :) LOL....
Yup.... So true except I'm located on midcoast Maine and even though summers are and can be horrible hot dry and humid to the max I'd say winter is way worse and way longer to deal with with any farm barn type pet..... The ice and bitter cold is crazy and expensive and time consuming
Once I was at the barn that I ride at, and when I went to get one of the ponies (the one in my pfp), I felt as though I was about to faint. It was very hot. 💀🥵 Great video by the way!

Looks like me during the summer here in Texas. Just walking outside is a cause for heat stroke. We kept our horses in their stalls with the fans on during the hottest parts of the day. I was laughing all through this video.
This was me a few days ago 😂 I decided the horse is getting a few days off. No way, I'm riding in this heat! Neither he nor I wanted to be in the arena. So these days I only go to the farm to do chores xD and I feel like dying each time

Dosen't always work and sometimes I think "hey! I think I got away with it this time"! And 2 hours later I will be in horrible pain. I wish all that I did was get too hot!
