6-2 game, though I was so hungover I missed the first 3 goals as I was in the toilet being sick, could feel the ground shake (I was in main stand) walked out about 15 mins in to absolute bedlam, managed to make it through the rest of the game in one piece 😂
Superb Tino. My favourite moment under Martin O'Neill wasn't on the Park. It two days after we had beat Dundee on 15th of December 2001. We won 3-1 thanks to Sutton. Hartson, Larrson. That game was our 13th win in a row; and we went 12 points clear of, the sporting financial dopers, Glasgow Rangers 1872-2012. On 17th December 2001 The Pogues played hall 4 of the old SEC. It was first night of reunion tour. In toilets someone noticed me. We started talking about Saturday game. By the time I was washing my hands the whole bog was singing "Champions" and Martin O'Neill name. By the time I had caught up with friends on hall floor the whole venue singing the praises of Martin O'Neill's Celtic. This went on for a good hour. You couldn't hear the support act because of this. And we only stopped singing Celtic songs when "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth" came on the PA. Absolute carnage and the next night we beat Livi 2 - 0 away in League Cup. With Balde and Hartson. I read Martin O'Neill book when it first came out. The fact he hand wrote this book in the manner he was prepared to do for his University opportunity is as impressive of anything he has achieved football wise. And is insight into we owe so much to Martin's mind. I was also lucky to know what was possible under Martin when he was at Wycombe. At that time I had family living in the town; and managed to see a game at Adams Park!
Best Celtic team I’ve ever seen was under Martin O’Neill 🍀💚 I was at Seville without a ticket , travelled for 2 & a half days watched the game in the park and then 2 & half days to travel home , what a great experience , broke my heart 💔 but wouldn’t have missed it for the world 🍀thank you Martin 💚🇮🇪
Feb 81 tino that’s interesting. I was trying to guess your age, from you mentioning standing on the old terraces and joe Miller 89 etc. I was born in feb 82. 42 now 😥 Had a season ticket during Martin first two seasons. Those were heady days that I look back on fondly.
Coupla youngsters me and you Joe! :-) Yeh Martin O'Neills time was amongst the best in modern times. We had him on the podcast not too long ago if you want to check that out.

Watching the team play live in Tampa Florida. HH from Live Oak Florida.
Watching that run to Seville. Liverpool at Anfield.
The way he believed in his players
