    Video Description:
Most private Highschools in the world are characterized by extremely high academic and co-curricular standards. They really groom their students for excellence! This is also why they are reasonably more expensive than regular, public high schools. The most expensive private highschool in the world: Institut Le Rosey really is the stuff of dreams! Located in Rolle, Switzerland this school was founded in 1880 and is one of the oldest schools to ever exist in Switzerland.

I mean come to think of it, its expensive because of the amenities, extracurricular activities and such. What’s good here is they do not only focus on academics but there are variety of things (e.g. horseriding, fencing etc) to do that helps a kid to improve themselves more as a person and hone their abilities and talents too. Its got a holistic approach which is really good aside from having “connections” and the perks. Learning should be fun and this school surely provides it.

    • @alexalexis7899
      @alexalexis7899 Год назад +5

That is very true. The majority of wealthy parents go out of their way to make sure their kids bond with people on the same social-economic level as them, or above. It may not always be out of snobbery, as they may think that people to whom money is not a problem will develop a more sincere friendship with each other.

To be honest, there’s not much on here that you couldn’t do for a quarter of the price at a normal private school. The only real appeal is privacy-they don’t need to leave the school to do any of these activities-and making connections. Rich people are basically just sending their kids here to make friends with other rich people. It’s not about the school.

If you’re a British kid watching this and wishing you could go to a school like this: most UK private schools are charities and give out millions of £s worth of bursaries each year. If you’re smart enough to get in (which isn’t actually that hard, they care more about your personality and interests), you can apply to have it all funded. It’s worth doing.

My brother's went, was horrible, said a bunch of the students would just drink alcohol, and the bullying problem was a huge issue, where they'd be constantly in fights because of it.
Basically the richest would have a gang that harrased all the other students and the rest either had to paly along or get beaten.
They even had to barricade the doors because the older students kept trying to come in to beat them up. And the teachers, staff, prefects ect, would play along with this social structure and in no way intervine to help
Not to mention they had their items stolen by staff there.
My parents ended up taking them away early.

I simply wrote this thought thinking of the young people I've met along the way who had waited weeks or months (sometimes they planned it for years with their parents and counselors) to get an answer from their school of choice and weren't accepted. Also, others who applied for a scholarship were denied. They did do a part-time job while studying and today are doing better.
My cousin who has two nationalities and has four languages in her; she applied to prestigious college to study psychology. She was denied entry. She did try smaller community based colleges in MA and graduated in 2018.

I've been to a state and private school in England. I'm glad attended both because it made me into who I am today. I saw both sides, both very different worlds. I would say if you want success the private school is a better choice if you can afford it, but don't go broke sending your kid to one. One thing I would say is that at the private school people did not care about house, cars, designer brands or money, it was more about skills, hobbies and grades. When I attended the state school I feel as though people were much more conscious about these things. These days you have selective/free grammar schools, probably the best choice. With these fee paying schools and boarding schools, it is a class thing, friends and connections. People think that in a democracy everybody is equal this is not the case. Your monarchy, aristocracy and nobility got replaced with another ruling elite of the merchants, industrialists and banking class. They just overthrew the former and caused revolutions in the name of the "people".

My school was kinda like this : george school in bucks county PA. Campus was beautiful, offered many arts like wood working and ceramics, large international population, offer IB and AP, they had equestrian, etc. but it wasn’t elitist. Family income from the people I knew ranged from 700k to 26k a year. We are no where near the best boarding school in the US. some of the other campuses sounded like hog warts and Zoey 101 had a baby

I don't think students in this status will be showing off to each other like that. Lol. That's cringe. Their name and status will speak volume for themselves. And "study less" won't even apply here. 400 students and 150 teachers, even if you don't want to learn the teachers will make sure you do. And you realize that if they are making connection it doesn't only equate to noble to noble. For example you're not rich on their level but have brain and others have power in industry you want to be in for the future, that will be win win too.
It's funny how people think students in this class will make fuss about school supplies/clothes. All off them has that. Their competition and expectation is in different level.

The best schools are located in working-class neighborhoods, they prepare real "workhorses of the industry" from their walls come talented and able-bodied people who push forward the "cart of progress". The Elite of Society tends to degrade in the 4th generation, which leads to a Revolutionary Situation and a Change of Elite, a Change of Economic Formation, etc.

*Question:* Which country is located between Norway and Korea?...
      About Russian Culture and Education.
The Education system of Russia is based on Russian National Culture, with influence: Europe/Asia (Russia, Germany, Italy, France, Poland, Caucasus, Central Asia, Turkey, Persia (Iran), India, China, etc). The rich russian culture is best school (basic) education system in the World: russian classical music, russian classical literature, classical poetry, architecture, art, choreography, etc (science, philosophy, economics, trade). The Russian educational system is based with help the Russian Cultural Renaissance of the XIX century, when Europe was already experiencing a cultural decline, but Russia at that time had geniuses like Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Glinka, Tolstoy, Pushkin, Lermontov, Chekhov, Gogol, Dostoevsky and Aivazovsky, etc. They were able to raise Russian Сulture to unattainable heights...
*Leo Tolstoy - War and Peace* (Nikolay Rostov, Pavlogradsky Hussar Regiment attacks to French infantry) *lpHLr5-zpx8*
_Having delayed the enemy and thus ensured the success of the retreat of the main forces of the Russian army, the detachment hastily retreated in the dark after the battle. The Russians repulsed the last French attack already during the retreat in the dark. Although the wounded were ordered to be left behind, many of them dragged themselves after the troops and asked to lie down on the guns. Among them was a pale Hussar junker, who, supporting his arm with his other hand, approached artillery сaptain Tushin and asked permission to sit on the gun. "Captain, for God's sake, I have a concussion," he said timidly. - For God's sake, I can't walk anymore. For God's sake! It was obvious that this juncker repeatedly asked to sit down somewhere and was refused everywhere he asked in a hesitant and pitiful voice. "Let him go, let him go," Tushin said. Rostov was the junker. He was holding on with one hand to the other, was pale, and his lower jaw was shaking with a feverish tremor. He was placed on the very gun from which the dead officer had just been thrown. There was blood on the officer's greatcoat, which stained Rostov's trousers and uniform. Rostov's wounded arm hurt terribly. Snow began to fall from the dark sky, Rostov forgot himself for a minute, but during this short period of oblivion he saw his house, a fluffy fur coat, a fast sleigh and felt the love and care of his family. "And why did I come here!?"He thought about it. Rostov was 20 years old. This was his first battle._

The cheekbones become larger and higher (the maxillary sinuses increase), reducing the bones of the eye sockets (sub asian eyes), the chin becomes more pointed, the shape of the nose and jaw changes. The ears are also modified to protect against frostbite, and sometimes the earlobes merge with the cheeks. you shouldn’t care about whether you’re rich enough, kids there will all be about as rich as you and everyone will be the same rank. Focus on your studies there and not wealth. Plus it’s the university that matters not the high school so good luck anyway

Le Rosey is a good school, but this video is strange. The oldest boarding school in the world? Not even close (the one I attended was founded 500 years earlier). And why does the thumbnail picture at the beginning show the Catherine Palace in Tsarskoye Selo? Does this have anything to do with Le Rosey?
