I'm a teacher, so I looked this place up on glassdoor because I was curious about pay.
Not great, lol. Ofc this is all self-reported as boarding schools aren't required to post salaries like public schools but here are some numbers...
    Avg pay: 43k - 63k
Home prices in the area vary a lot but I saw a few at 328k which are similar to what I live in now (and I paid 205k for mine, but I live in a low COL area). I'd probably end up living in a condo, but that really wouldn't work for my family:). Single, sure...family no lol.
Point being, I wouldn't want to teach there. Looking at the amazing facilities is great, and getting to use them is a perk...but for that pay it sucks. Teachers are already underpaid but this really seems like a slap in the face. Unless I'm missing a major benifit, doesn't seem worth it to me.
Also looking at coaches pay, it seems really low. You are churning out the best athletes, super competative programs, etc...and you are only paying 36-58k a year. Now if you can stack that with a teacher salary it isn't bad at all...but I highly doubt the coaches there teach. Maybe I'm wrong.
TLDR: Doesn't seem worth it to work here if you are a teacher or coach.

Lol this is literally a college for high school students. You have to pay the exact same University tuition fees to live there. Its on par with the cost of Ivy League schools. You do this to ensure your kid goes pro, or gets on an elite college team that will eventually take him pro. There is a absolutely ZERO other reason to be at this school. Its strictly a sports institution that also happens to hand out GED's at the end of 4 years.

Speaking as a professional baseball player. Tell you what…unless your kid is a top prospect as a 7th or 8th grade DO NOT go here. You need a full scholarship or for some families a 75% to even remotely afford tuition costs. It’s absurd and I think over 80 grand. Now if your kid is an elite level prospect at a young age and you can score a full ride then it’s a no brainer.
Put it to you this way…by then end of his 4 year term here you will be over 350,000 dollars in debt. That’s why most people only go here for a year to bump up their draft stock and focus on sports to get selected in high school or to go to a great college to avenue towards professional sports.
If you don’t aspire to do professional sports don’t go here. If your son to daughter isn’t legit and actually has recognition outside of his state or local area don’t go here. And IF you don’t get a scholarship and you are from a lower to middle income family…DO NOT GO HERE.
This school is not a scam but it is very expensive. They do a lot for their students and athletes and I love their concept. But if your little jimmy is batting 300 in his local little league I wouldn’t dare send him to IMG academy. Test your son or daughter in their selected sport to give you a good idea if they are ready for that commitment. They do draft at a very high rate for professional sports but if you go there with a wish and a dream w/ no latent talent or work ethic. It’s throwing money out the window.
You can get recognized anywhere lol. Get a good workout plan. A good coach. A good trainer. Manage your diet. And expose yourself to national/international level tournaments. And you STILL won’t spend that kind of ridiculous money for virtually the same training pending on your work ethic. Like I said it’s not a scam but if your not expecting to go top 10 fucking don’t waste your time my friends

My high school was half the size of this school but it didn’t have restaurants. We had a giant ass woods. A huge football field with track thingy on it. Two baseball fields, four tennis courts, 2 basketball gyms and a full size locker room in one with showers, a huge ass auditorium, and a giant band room and then we had a classroom outside and had a giant garden with an indoor thingy I forgot what it’s called. But we were considered one of the poorest high schools in the district so idk how that works
