Solid review, I absolutely love the look of the Vulcan S. Is this your first bike though? Or did you upgrade from something before? I’m looking to upgrade myself I currently have a Yamaha r3 but I’m done with the sports bike life. Would the Vulcan S but a significant upgrade? Or should I be looking at a larger bike?

I took my bike to the track to see how fast it would go, without getting into trouble, and the top speed I reached on my Kawasaki Vulcan S was 185km per hour, and that was on a windy day where I was riding into the wind, I'm sure I could get it to 190km on a still day.

Great have u had to change The handlebars? I here some say they are badly designed and point inwards at the grips. Some say straight bars would be better, hubby tried a Vulcan today and he is 6’4” he felt good at home better than the HD500 and the Honda CMX felt abit small lol.. great seeing this video u must tall also hehe. Trying to surprise him and doing some research as I’ll buy it for his birthday next week.. thanks great review

Nice video and comments! Suggest the camera operator stand still or just stick the camera on a stand. The shake is distracting.

i realy like the vulcan s i like to go quick and look good and have a comfy seat but i prefer the sound of a v-twin engine i currently have a yamaha virago XV250 97 model its a good little bike with a nice little v-twin engine but i want something that will stand out and look bad ass and sound bad ass so what exhaust would you recomend for a vulcan s? because once i get a job ill be putting every cent away for a bigger bike and my mother will have the little virago so yea id like something quick good on fuel reliable looks nice sounds mean and is comfy on long rides because i will be doing charity runs and stuff on it. if or when i get a vulcan s ill be swapping out the headlight to something more classic then ill get a bullet type fairing and highway bars for it as well as a better exhaust

I watched a video about break-in period by Fortnine. He recommended varying the RPM and a mixture of city and highway riding. Apparently, long periods of highway, low RPM riding are actually not good for break-in. My Vulcan S is one month old and I have less than 100 miles on it. I've taken the RPM's up to about 6k and the overall speed up to 55mph. I've been doing a lot of parking lot practice as I am a new rider

Hi there, I read you write up and clicked on the link, im in OZ too and just wanted to let you know that by installing the factory cafe windscreen you will achieve faster accellaration and increase top end by 20kph, and fuel economy too, try it, its totally different, PS Also aero mirrors, cheers

Thank-you Andy. You said maintenance on the bike is easy I'm agree but replacing that air filter is horrible.
By the way really a big thanks for the long term review.
I'm hesitating between the lovely Kawasaki Vulcan S and the expensive H-D Street Rod 750. I saw a long term review not in favor of the rod but the Vulcan is pleasing everyone.

I've owned my Vulcan s for two years now and I also have had zero issues. The two brothers is very loud, but other drivers hear you compared to the factory system. Great review, I thoroughly enjoyed watching. Cheers.

Hi Andy. I am about to buy a new Kawasaki 2019 Vulcan S cafe. I just have 2 questions and hope you can answer.
1st: why the vulcan S has much less power than the same size engine Honda CB650R (60bhp vs 90bhp)
2nd: what is the cons when you de-restrict your vulcan S (insurrance, warranty..)
    Thanks mate and ride safe

Marco DeRocchis no i have not had any issues with the mirrors, they can easily be adjusted. They can also easily be replaced if you need higher/lower mirrors.

Sinbad683 no i havent mate. Has it helped you have a better ride?

    • @Sinbad683
      @Sinbad683 6 лет назад +1

Sorry for the late reply. Where I live, yes it has. I set mine two clickers stiffer. We unfortunately have pretty bad concrete roads in the Philippines. In the default setting of two I find myself getting lifted off my seat when there's a dip in the road. Making the preload stiffer for me, lessened instances of me flying off the seat. Then again you guys have better roads than we do. I was just curious to hear from a fellow Vulcan S rider. Cheers! :D

I did enjoy this bike but it became too underwhelming after a year. Traded it for a Panigale. Thinking about buying it back from the dealership for sentimental value as it is my first motorcycle.
