I am a native of the Pacific Northwest. There is a much quicker way to get the skin of the neck and also you won't waste so much water trying to clean the clam. A pot of boiling water remove clam from shell submerge clam into hot water for approx 6 seconds remove and place immediately into ice cold water now the skin will simply peel of in one motion and the clam is not cooked or damaged from hot water. Slice thinly and enjoy Geoduck sashimi Northwest style i even dig them myself during very low low tides. It's amazing!
yeah, when i watch the clip i was like where is the hot water>? Im from Canada, we have a lot geoducks, hot water is the quickest and cleanest way to do, it takes out the fishy smell too
Geoduck is fucking delicious! it's got this crunchy texture but sweet and some what natural flavor of an oyster. I'd have to say the geoduck is probably one of the best tasting things, next to maybe uni or like o toro.
The Lorax it’s used to clean the geoduck to ensure no psp toxins remain. It’s necessary for proper preparation and to ensure you don’t get sick when eating it
growing up in seattle,we would catch these all the time while digging for butter clams. when you got one,the asians would go nuts, and we would trade it for they're butter clams. being american,we didnt like them because they look strange. now they sell for $50 a pound.

I've never had the opportunity to try the geoduck, but I'm willing to give it a taste. Whatever it is, as long as it's not brains or still squiggling about, I'm in.
Ah, San Antonio is a party town for the young and an intellectual hub for those educated. There's hope there. Unfortunately, Texas is mostly Republican country, but many of us are working to change that.
Well don't work too hard! Last thing I'd want to see is my Big Red turn blue! Aside from politics, I'm from the Dallas area and have a recommendation. www.littlelillysushi.com/index.html If you want to try Geoduck Sashimi, this is the perfect place to try! It is on Camp Bowie Blvd. and has great reviews.
Used to have these in clam chowder. Makes the absolute BEST. Can't find them in the pacific NW anymore. They used to be SO common. Nowadays they are a ocean farm staple. People literally have nearly wiped them out in Washington State
I'm tired of hearing people talking about wasting water by running it down the drain. Water is free. Waste of water happens when people put too much stuff in the water. Running it down the drain is harmless and even good.
NEVER. That ruins the Aden Films Experience. The point of his videos is to ve able to expuerence it yourself, not to let him tell you what he thinks. If you want someone to comment on the food, go to Travel Thirsty.

Imagine going to a restaurant and getting serve a seacock
It is such a luxury to have a marketplace like that. I would love to visit it one day.
You know you live in a nice state when you don't have to worry about water waste.

it looks like a pain in the ass to get the skin off.
Tom tonka he should dip it in a hot water for 20 seconds and then peal it off it will come out easily
Xhivago it wont be sashimi after in the hot water...duh..
joon kit Choy I don't know the meaning of the word sashimi but anyway raw meat is full of worms
Xhivago sashimi means raw. you can eat it raw
Xhivago hold up, if you ever had worms in raw food than i would consider buying meat from a more stable food source
i see a lot of comments about waste water and now i realize that there are more people out there than i expected caring for such enviromental things
