It's no joke. My friend got schizophrenia. We all smoked 24/7. So one puff at a party where you did not inhale won't do anything. But if you can't get up and go to school without this there is a problem.

Who are the researchers? What is their credentialed medical veracity? Who is funding this research?
All this study shows is that people who have physiological issues self medicate with whatever that can get their hands on.
Correlation is not causation. Mainstream media gives "breaking" the news a whole new meaning.

I haven't observed psychotic disorders directly, but I've personally witnessed personality change, apathy, and general falling apart of relationships.
I have seen it and it’s bad. High school friend had anger issues and they got worse, plus he made threats to his roommate when he didn’t get money for his drug habit. He couldn’t pay rent or bills because he would just burn through his money as he got it.. It’s simple: stay off the stuff, your body and family with thank you..
Everyday in Bangkok news, drug user killed their owner parents. Thai polices have been caught getting involved with drug marketing.

been using it about half my life now, i know it ain't perfect, but it's Leagues better than pills and alcohol and I'd rather have accidents on pot than literally anything else.
Needing a drug to stay sane and calm is a problem in the first place. People convince themselves that they "need" some crutch to get through the day, and it's all downhill from there.

A belief? Any parent can tell you that teen brains are not fully evolved. Any person who does an honest assessment of themselves as a teen can attest to that fact as well.
Stop lying to try to scare kids away from weed. I would recommend trying to focus on scaring them away from alcohol instead. Kids these days probably are messed up in the head because parents are to lazy to raise them and just let them lock themselves in their bedroom with the internet their entire childhood.

The disorders come from parents and counselors convincing them that marijuana is bad for them. They're self medicating. Let them heal.
This is the most generalized "scientific study" I've ever heard of. Where are the numbers? Where are the stats? And lets compare those to teen social media users...

First, kids should remain kids for as long as possible and they should be protected. Well, how can this study make any conclusion without knowing the total number of teens that are getting high. Also, what were the subjects consuming? Was it illicit and possibly tainted?
Teens smoking weed isn’t new. I never saw anyone become psychotic from smoking when I was a teenager. That was fifty years ago. My kids didn’t go nuts when they smoked it either. Back then I was more worried about drinking and driving. My neighbors daughter drove into a pole and died. By the way, cannabis flower isn’t more potent today than it was decades ago. I know. I was there. Were you? Here, light this and I’ll tell you a little story…
As a cannabis advocate. I did smoke a lot more as a teen. I've been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and depression. Even know when I smoke weed I get very bad anxiety. I wish I wouldn't have and only enjoyed it as an adult

Psychotic disorders? Do you mean difficulties in life? Don't label them as if they have a mental illness. This is a broader social issue. If theft becomes normalized, it sets a troubling precedent for what comes next for these misguided teens.
