PLEASE keep playing this game on stream. Watching your reactions to how awesome it is is really cool and id watch all of them.
Agreed 10000% LOVED Asmon's Cyberpunk streams
lets hope new world is getting old fast as always
Nah man he's going to play garbage new world instead lmao we all know it. It's so much more interesting to farm the same mobs and do the same mindless quests over and over for nothing for a game that will be dead again in 5 days anyway
@@mordor1779 He will not play it forever. I heard he is just taking a 1 week break to focus on New World only.
And you’re helping sell a good game
The characters and their stories in this game range from dark and tragic to funny as hell. The reason I love the game so much is that the characters feel alive. The voice acting is (for the most part) very good. Judy's whole romance story line is so gritty and sad, and feels more authentic for it. I have played through this game 4 times, and am on my 5th playthrough now that 2.0 and phantom liberty are here, and it's now the game I always wanted it to be.
I feel this so hard. I platinum’d this game on both the PS4 and PS5 versions. Typically when I platinum a game, Im done with it and usually never come back to it but this is one of those rare cases where I literally can’t get enough of it. It was always a decent enough maybe even good at times game but now its truly a great one with tons and tons of charm
The characters, man, they are so memorable. The writing is on another level.
I still remember poor Evelyn Parker, held in V's arms. I didn't think much of the whole chip situation up to that point, and her death really drove home the downer flavour of cyberpunk stories.
Agreed, I played at launch on PC and although there were some bugs and performance issues, I still dumped 100 hours in just a few weeks during winter break and I had an absolute blast exploring the world and experiencing the story
@@ramonandrajo6348That the most important part? Woke how?
Upvote if you eat corn the long way.
Agreed, normally i'm the first person to want to hold shitty devs to account, and a lot of the shit they did like withholding reviews on last gen, still think that's pretty scummy. But its clear they put effort into making things right, and its in a really good place now. Not perfect but personally haven't run into anything that breaks the game or totally breaks immersion. All in all I'm having a lot of fun with it now, just hope to see devs in the future just wait if a game isn't ready, cause I know for a lot of people a bad launch can really taint the future of a game. I was really skeptical myself rebuying Cyberpunk, but I have no regrets this time around
They did abandon it though they never delivered what they advertised and promised and left they did abandon it
IE most dev teams. But probably a decision made by people higher up than the main dev team
@@CrowofYharnamwhat? No they’re just slow with it, they’re still updating it. It’s okay if you’re still learning English, but this isn’t what abandon means.
@@CrowofYharnamoh no its you again...
Cyberpunk has an incredible story behind the big city , some missions are fun , some are very dark , and that balance makes it special . Not to mention how incredibly good the city looks. I think i have never seen anything like it before .
The farm.
@@Rihadsothat is probably the weakest story arc in the game, sadly. (If you mean the farm that i think you do, if not, ignore all if this lol) Yes, when I did my first playthrough that mission sent shivers down my spine, sadly that was almost immediately ruined by the cringe that ensued... could've used a few months more in the oven.
@@mr_confuse The farm had a strong first impression, but not a lasting one sadly.
If you look at how good a game they had in their hands and how majestically they fucked up the release it's really impressive. I don't think they could've done a worse release if they tried.
Those who waited at least until patch 1.2 to buy the game avoided most of the mess and had a great time. That patch was released in march, so 3 more months of properly handled development could've avoided that fiasco, but instead they rushed the release and watched company shares lose 80% in value between december/20 and april/21. Because they couldn't miss the holiday sales. Business management masterclass from CDPR.
There is no game like it originality wise. Story wise it’s incredible with memorable strong characters and more being added in the further you progress. The gameplay is smooth, the map is INCREDIBLE and the music…..😢beautiful

Can't wait for asmon to get into the expansion himself, but I also don't want him to rush through the game because you get the best experience out of it by not rushing anything.
i have a weird feeling he won’t play it idk why (talking about phantom liberty)

@@imaurabtwhe has two 6 hour videos playing it. And there has been a couple clips from his play through.
He might not finish it, I've noticed that he has trouble completing games with more robust story lines like this, Witcher 3 etc. Maybe it's because people want to see his reactions to the story so he can't play these games offline. @@imaurabtw
@@r2dk594 Yeah and then for some reason he started playing New World fro the last 2 days...
Cyberpunk was redeemable because it was clearly broken. Starfield isn't broken. It's just bad.
Undercooked is a great way to describe Cyberpunk on launch. I didn’t hear that many negative things about the core gameplay, just the integrity of the gameplay itself being compromised. It was a great meal from the beginning, but it was served too early. Now that the chef is finished I think we can all agree he was cooking up a banger but let it out too early the first time.
i hear so many negative things about the core gameplay, and even played it xd
it was a mediocre meal from the beginning, wasnt served "too early" they had so many years in the making, and then was pushed back and back again lol...
my dude, ure the definition of GET IT TWISTED
That's because nobody could get to the core gameplay due to the bugs lol. At least I couldn't
@@gonzalocornejo9267 It is one of the greatest game in existence for some people. How weird that people like different things?
Stop spreading hate dude. Go play games you enjoy instead of getting hung up on a game you don't like
Yup, most people couldnt get a decent experience from it due to performance issues at launch. So it's unsurprising it was overwhelmingly negative, but it was still a good game at core when you get past all that.
Literally, the only people who could get a decent experience out of it performance wise were people who owned upper mid ranged PC's at launch. Which is probably a VERY small minority of people who got the game.
Sure there were bugs as with all games at launch, but none that were game breaking when I finished it. The worst bug for me were stuck quests (happened about 2-3 times), which could be fixed by reloading prior save points
The gameplay is really cool. It's actually a bit cumbersome until you get the hang of it. I spend a fair bit of time practicing sick moves which don't require multiple choice but those are cool too. I think they did a great job especially with vehicle combat.
Is it perfect? So far from it but being perfect is not the point when you're having a shit ton of fun.
The part about moving feeling good is SOOOO true. One of my absolute favorite things in Cyberpunk is that I don't ever feel the need to use fast travel because traveling is FUN. I absolutely love that I can dash around and drive fun vehicles from point A to B without feeling the need to rush to a teleport point. They've really done a great job in that aspect (and many others of course).
Still cant get over how detailed the city is. The raw density of a single city block and i can only imagine the nightmare it was to light everything so well. The afterlife, moth, the little pop up markets, random street dialog. It feels so genuine and all of the wackiness just feels right in such a wild setting.
except only few of them open to exploration, then the immersion is broken.
@@irulannaba6970 nah its immersive i found myself cruising at night listening to body heat radio with everything maxed at 4k with a 4090. City feels alive with all the lights and driving by an edgerunner location makes it even more meaningful.

This was absolutely necessary to save the studio reputation, 2077 was a catastrophe and a huge, embarrassing breach of trust. I'm glad CDPR have climbed out of the dumpster, but they needs to nail the next game.
the reputation is still on the ground... i dont think gamers could be as dumb to buy this and forget the past so easily
@gonzalocornejo9267 I'm pretty sure the majority sentiment is, "Wow that's cool you fixed your own game. Wow it's also somewhat good even great at times... do it again... without taking 2-3 years to fix it."
@@aytony4090game is still crashing for me and i see every bug thats in starfield, characters clipped into the ground, stuck in the ceiling spastic body movements, you name it. Ive been playing cyberpunk since January and the game is easily my favorite fps rpg. The world, the style, the gameplay, everything is amazing and the dialogue can be funny, raunchy, but EXTREMELY emotional. There are relations between characters that is so deep and thought provoking. I generally dont get emotional from media like games and movies but ive definitely shed a few tears playing Cyberpunk 2077. Especially from the expansion story.
Jackie dying is one of the only situations i can remember in gaming that brought me nearly to tears. Jackie died too early though.... Truly an amazing character.
What about the part where SPOILERS:
The new ending of Phantom Liberty where you are flying over night city right before Johnny gets deleted from your head and you and him have your final conversation. He forgives you and says goodbye. Hit like a ton of bricks.
@@justinrisen1929
@@justinrisen1929a shame we didn't get to play the montage... there were a few points where I was legitimately sad about what had happened lmao. "A world where people can only talk about things they like is a world you don't want to live in" so true and that is exactly what all social media is
It’s seems like social media is turning into a space where everyone talks about what is bad. social media is wayyy more negative than positive. I don’t understand, positivity is a good thing. People should always strive to say more positive things than negative things. People are wallowing their negativity and that’s why so many people are more depressed now. any therapist will tell you being positive is way more beneficial to your life.
Back in the day people didn’t have social media to express their every dark/sad thought and feeling. So people don’t need to do it.
@@saraht9766 I think you missed the point I was trying to make, mostly my fault I didn't word it correctly.
Lets talk about your point. Isn't keeping your feelings bottled up and not expressing them what the "experts" are saying is the cause of violent outbursts?
On my original post I was implying that on social media you can only talk to people if you agree with their point not necessarily about what they "like". However, that is still true. Once you start censoring 1 form of speech it only opens more things up to being censored.
Completely agree. A while back when I was younger I thought "Hate Speech" was wrong, but now, especially with the anti-sematic policies being passed, criminalizing hate speech is harming the right to Freedom of Speech.
Phantom Liberty is actually amazing, with Raytraced GI its looks baam. Sure its still missing alot but damn, its still amazing. If they wouldve given us full modding support....
Doesn't it have full modding support? I'm using like 200 mods right now with vortex?
@@petebagwell6666 nope, you can do just basic mods like changing models, modify scripts for AI behavior, but we cant create quests, buildings or landscape. Otherwise this game would become the most amazing shit there has ever been. Same problem as we had with Witcher 3, while Witcher 2 had full modding support.
I don't see that as a bad thing honestly. I enjoy what modders do, and can do. But I also respect the devs wanting to keep quests to only what they have made for the game.
@@petebagwell6666You actually use Vortex? It's pathing is so bad though, I don't trust it to put mods in the right folders so I just manually drop my mods, it's gotten it wrong to many times for me.

Cyberpunk feels more Authentic, and a genuine fun game to play. At the same time, it is interesting and fun just to walk around and explore.
I bought the game around patch 1.5 and i’ve yet to encounter a game breaking bug. And 2.0 actually had an opposite effect on my pc’s performance. I swear the game is smoother now than before.
same here
Had this on release (PC) and it was trash. Spent a few hours trying to get in to it but ended up giving up when I had characters blocking my path forward inside buildings.
Fired it up about 2 months ago and it was a whole lot of fun.
Though the driving is still dogshit.
Looking forward to firing up PL at some point.
Yeah. This is a game that looks great and doesn't experience any frame drop. Reminds me of GTA V at release, from a performance view.
@@andrazi4050 i think the driving is fine, sure its not like gta or any racing game but with a bit of practice and decent fps its really good imo. Especially with the fun cars that can somewhat drift around
The driving is the game breaking bug for me. It's atrocious!
Thought it was going to be Internet Historian based on the title. That's a big disappointment.
I was one of the lucky folks who only ran into one minor bug and some graphical hitches (invisible limbs) when the game launched, so I got to enjoy the story from the get go.
I'm glad the Anime and DLC have brought others back to give it a second chance, the game really does have a great story to tell.
This is exactly my experience as well. I got the game on launch day for my ps4. I was lucky and, at worst, had glitches that made me laugh. I was able to enjoy the game immensely to the end. So happy to see people coming back to this beautiful game.
I spit out my drink at 13:35
Lines that aged suspiciously
Dude im in the train and i nearly started choking when i heard that
what the fuck does that have to do with anything? they've had the iron dome for many many years its probably just not come to your attention because the internet didnt show you and thats where you get all your info
Why does everyone think that line is literal? The line "the game is fixed" refers to the casino games in the background of the commercial, as well as the overall story, being "fixed", as in a particular outcome will happen to defraud or deceive the participants.
The worst part about Cyberpunk being broken at launch is the gamers telling people that it's and they had zero bugs. The game was clearly busted broken ad unfinished in many ways. I hate toxic positivity.
I had NO issues on my release playthrough on pc, the only thing i remember was jackies chopstick floating in the air when he was eating. Been waiting for everyone to see how good this game is.
I've had a few bugs that broke immersion but not the fun, I called for my car and it came flying down a hill smashing into me and crashing into more cars in the road. The moment of confusion wondering where my car spawned, looking for it and finding it hurtling toward me from a place cars shouldn't go it was hilarious
I just hope we get to see Asmon's take on the anime before he eventually moves on from Cyberpunk. Love the long plays so far! Keep uo the great work!!
hearing youre enjoying cyberpunk more than you enjoyed starfield put a big fuckin smile on my face
Common sense shouldn't make you that happy
@jackbower9087 you're disliking the game for the wrong reasons. Game sucked ass, but not due to any "woke" bullshit. Everyone has pronouns, get over it.
@@taylon5200Woke tropes signify a poor set of priorities on the dev’s and managers part. Its not just about the pronouns.
@taylon5200 no they don't junkie, and I never said starwoke only sucked because of the woke bullshit such as every single leader and commanders whether it's military, presidential or pirates being a woman.
The game sucked. The guns suck. The planets suck. The companions suck. The level up system sucked. The story sucked. The cities sucked.
Making the game a woke shitfest amplified the suck.
The devs where more worried about imaginary woke issues than making a good game
I enjoy walking around and driving in cyberpunk so much I not only avoid fast traveling I hope quests are far away.
When I make it to my destination I'd go past it and keep driving. No other game has made me want to do that
I feel the same way man, I bought the mahir and it's my favorite car specifically because it's a mediocre normal city car, and I just cruise slowly through the streets between jobs, listening to the radio. Now I like the DLC car (the small one) even more because now you can actually drive down highways and the cars in front of you can actually STAY in front of you, foor once letting me feel like a fish in the stream instead of insane speeding 24/7.
On another note, I kinda feel like I am actually enjoying my real loner city life more, ever since ive started playing this game. Like it has an actual therapeutic effect on my depression, albeit small.
Got Cyberpunk2077 on launch for the PS4, and as buggy as it was I really fought through it because the story and the world (at least back then in concept) was so GOOD to me. I played with a Katana build and sometimes my PS4 would crash because my V has to maneuver A LOT lol I am glad they fixed it and never gave up - means they really wanted this product in the end. Some people being petty I guess can stay petty but they are missing out on one of the best stories and world ever made for video games.
Have you tested the game after the most recent updates? I still have a ps4 (I ain't coughing up the money for an upgrade) but get way too easily annoyed for what errors were in the initial release so never bought it.

Personally i never had any real bugs or crashes when it released, i know thats not the case for alot of people. but it certainly has come along way.
The state of the game was overblown out of proportions because of the bad ports on the old consoles. The game could be played and finished with a good story.
In Pc, day one cyberpunk, was hella good
Yeah, a lot of people seem to bandwagon in that regard. The game was fine for me. I ran into a few bugs but it seemed as if people were acting like it was unplayable.
Lol most butthurt came from console user that got major bugs when they released..
Yeah, I had a smooth ‘release play through’. Didn’t experience any of the main issues people had, though I played on pc.
Asmongold is really the best at reacting when he can react to the ad in a video and make it 3 times as long.
Love the game. One of the best games I've ever played, period. The characters, story, the world, even the gameplay after 2.0. You guys got to try it.
It's been awesome watching you play this game! Played it on launch, the story, city, music, and characters were always good, the combat finally matching the rest raises this game to one of the best games of our generation.
What's still missing after 1 year since the game's release.
- Improved Wanted System - Need to improve how the wanted system scales in difficulty. NCPD shouldn't spawn right behind you and it shouldn't be so easy to get away from 1-2 stars. 3 stars is essentially an automatic death. Add in high speed car chases. Basically take a page out of any GTA game since 2002.
- Factions/Gang Affiliation - Killing gang members should have consequences (both positive & negative). Kill the Tyger Claws and you'll struggle to get through Japantown without getting attacked. Meanwhile, gain affinity with another gang for killing Tyger Claw members.
- Player Customization - Need to be able to change character appearance throughout the game. Also need body type options at the start (short/tall, fat/muscular/lean). To have different ♥♥♥♥ options, but not body type is insane.
- Life Path Purpose - Outside of the prologue and a few unique dialogue lines, there's no difference in life paths. I realize it's too late to have brand new intros for different life paths, but maybe life paths can have certain unique attributes throughout the game. Corpos get more money when selling things. Streetkids get discounts on items. You get the point.
- Car Customization - Scatter garages around the city where you can get new paint, wheels, etc.
- Flying Cars and Boats - Pretty self explanatory. Be able to drive boats and flying cars.
- Apartment Customization - Be able to decorate your apartments with items that you can buy in local stores.
- Mini Games - Street races, casinos, card/board games, underground fighting, video games (so many arcade cabinets throughout the city yet you can't play any of them), etc.
- More detailed club interactions - Be able to dance, pickup ladies/dudes, get drunk (I know you do this in a mission, but not sure if you can do it outside of missions).
- Transmog gear - So tired of choosing between design and stats. No reason why we can't keep the stats of one piece of gear and have the look of another. Being able to hide hats would be nice as well since I can't seem to like any, but would like the armor bonus they provide.
- Lock weapons/gear - Avoid accidentally dismantling weapons/gear/mods that you want to keep by locking them.
- Profile system for saves - Be able to easily separate different playthroughs. Be able to name save files.
- Public Transportation - Be able to ride the subway/monorail.
- Smarter Civilian AI - Better reactions when firing at cars, shooting into crowds, etc. The AI are dumber than games that came out 15-20 years ago.
- Higher Population Density - Gives us the city that you showed in the trailers.
- Street Cred that Matters - Get discounted drinks, access to private rooms at the clubs, unique dialogue from civilians on the street based on your Street Cred. Make it feel like SC is more than just a number in the menu.
- Buy apartments/mansions - As you move up in Night City, it makes little sense to continue living in a tiny apartment. Gives us the option to upgrade our digs.
- Dates - Be able to call previous romances or an escort service for a date or one night stand.
- Improved Water Physics
Many people will be fooled about the "it was all about the bugs dood!" Don't listen to their lies. This is NOT cyberpunk

im playing it for the first time this week and wow, this game is amazing. It has been a loong time since I have had the experience of loosing track of so many hours
I enjoyed this game on launch despite all the issues
Now it’s one of the best games I’ve ever played
100 hours on Starfield, 100 in Cyberpunk.
Cant compare them. Different games. Both great games for different moods.
But Cyberpunk is 3x the game Starfield is in every metric.
I'm going to add to this.
Cyberpunk is approaching Deus Ex. Stealthily approaching.
Ppps Asmon nails everything here. I'm 46. I've went from buying magazines and typing the code from the pages into a commodore for a game. To Quest 3.
i never had a single bug in a game, 4 full playthroughs
200 hours, phantom liberty is HEAT
I'm surprised so many people are taking ''The game is fixed'' line from the trailer so literally, instead of it just being a little double entendre
The primary meaning is "the game is fixed (rigged)" by the corpos against the population. like "the house always wins." But likely with the secondary tongue in cheek comment that the game itself has been improved.
It 100% works in both ways.
But leaning towards Fallou new vegas, it's fixed from the start
Having played this game at release on PC, I remember there were 2 main bugs I suffered: T-posing when inside a car (not with a bike, therefore I used bikes all the time) and then one mission that has a blond woman kidnapped on the 2nd floor had bugged with a door not opening - I simply reloaded it and it worked fine.
Other than that, yes I remember once I barely tried and traffic got broken, it was hilarious. But I did not have terrible awful bugs after that, though I'm sure I was in the minority. I remember giving it an 8 upon release.
If they had released it in the state it is now imagine the positive reception it would’ve received
i never thought id be mad at a game for having to much content but cyberpunk is that game for me
I like the storyline of cyberpunk a LOT, even most of the side quests you can find have captivating plots. I think the perk tree/build variety is still lacking somewhat, or not quite balanced yet, but that's something I can easily look over so that I can enjoy this amazing world.
Any writer who strikes now and thinks you're going to get a better deal, just remember, good chance you're just working yourself out of future work. Especially if you're "progressive".
I absolutely LOVE Cyberpunk 2077. I did a whole playthrough last year I believe and done all the side quests and everything that you could possibly do. The story is amazing and the gameplay is addicting. It's top 2 of my favorite games I've ever played. I started a new playthrough with the 2.0 update and it's almost a completely different game. Does it still have bugs? Yes. Does it still have glitches? Yes, but it is so good. There was even a surprise update fixing those bugs and glitches in both the main game and Phantom Liberty. It was also funny seeing the xbots reactions to him saying it is better than Starfield.
LOL Asmon responding to their ad break, but big props to him for giving their ad another upload
I had such a great time with Cyberpunk at launch! PC ran well on my 10 year old rig, then my new PC (3070, then 3080 TI). It was A-tier for me, yes had some bugs, but nothing breaking (RIP PS4/XBOX ONE users). Now it sounds like it's S tier with 2.0!
I thought it was cool at launch but my experience was broken with game crashes. Luckily, that didn't happen for everyone.
Had some bugs? It's still full of them 🤣
"Critics aren't real" 👏
Witcher games (increasing with each title) scale higher with how great and epic they are once you’ve read the books, it’s actually what got me into the books. But if you were to jump straight in cyberpunk is probably better, which makes sense as it is a standalone.
At the heart of cyberpunk its a story about life and death, its not really sci-fi at its core. The cyberpunk scifi setting is set dressing, and allows for side adventures into the genre, but its not what its about
Waited a long while before I bought the game, I played for about 70 hours or so and honestly got bored of how lack luster the builds felt in the game. But when 2.0 dropped I started again and I'm having so much fun. Some times the story feels a little...odd? Idk it's hard to put my finger on it but I will say the one mission when you go talk to the doll at clouds? Man that honestly hit me really hard. Shit was deep
We are a lot to say that everytime but we can get behind saying that it was buggy at launch (especially on console) and had performance issues (mainly on consoles), but it wasn't anywhere near bad. PC players enjoyed the shit out of it and many only had minor bugs. They did make it better and fixed all the bugs however, and it's still to be celebrated.
I just don't like how the original version is constantly taken at its worst (ps4 at launch) and compared to now. It just artificially widens the gaps a bit too much. No that long after release, I remember a patch fixing a lot of performance issues on consoles, so that was not the bulk of the work. The bulk of the work was all the refining that was done AFTER that. That's what's impressive.
I never though Cyber Punk was "bad". It had bugs and issues which is always annoying but I played like 200 hours when it came out and I never had any game breaking issues just annoyances. The game wasn't perfect but it was still like a top 5 that year for me.
I had a voice line subtitle stick around for 50 hours on my first play through and the game was good enough that it didn’t bother me. But I’m a lil goblin so I don’t expect that from everyone. Just hit 400 hours and loving the game more than ever
Oh yeah, It wasn't bad, it straight up didn't work and it's still buggy as af (bugs that were at the start is still there, GTA 5 is still puts it to shame), more so funny that Asmon keeps bringing up No Man's Sky - that game is trash and forever will be trash.

This GTA better than Cyberpunk is one of those stupid narratives that people tried to spread around since even before the lunch of Cyberpunk!
At this point, Cyberpunk easily has better story, better Characters and better Gameplay than any GTA ever made and game Design in Cyberpunk is lightyears better than anything, R* has ever made.
But you know. GTA is better because when you hit your motorcycle to wall, your Character gets thrown around more realistic. That obviously makes GTA a better game than Cyberpunk!!! Right???😂

Can somebody explain to me why Asmongold keeps saying he loved this and that game (Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk in this case) but ultimately never finishes it and goes to play games like Diablo 4, New World, Lost Ark, etc. for thousands of hours - games he allegedly doesn't like? This makes 0 sense to me. If the game is good and I like it - I play it.
Maybe he enjoys it more offline (offstream)
Where in lost ark, new world could get "boring" if played alone in a dark room ;d

Crazy how much good karma being humble will get you. Also not sure if it's true but I heard they actually hired modders to help with the fixes so no wonder it went this good. I wish them luck, those devs who put their heart and soul into their work deserve recognition and good words.
I wasn't expecting Asmon to call out furries during a Cyberpunk video 😂
I spent 170 hours in Starfield. Then I moved to Night City 2.0.
Wow. Do I need to say more?
I played the game on release on PS5 and enjoyed an almost bug free experience. I did have a lot of periodic crushes, like one every 1.5 hours, so that sucked. But the funny thing is that I replay the game right now and it's a lot more buggy for me this run lol. Not terrible by any means, but more noticable than at launch. The even funnier thing is that I replayed The Witcher 3 on PS5 before coming back to cyberpunk and The Witcher 3 was actually the buggiest experience I had on PS5 since owning it. Like quite a few times I had to reload stuff, because quests would break and couldn't finish them properly. Though, once again, when I played it on PS4 many years ago I hardly had a problem. So, I'm never surprised at the fact that some people have bug free expriences while others can barely manage to finish the same game, because it's completely broken for them.
I'm one of the ones who decided to pick it back up when the 2.0 update came out. I had already played most of the intro and i thought it was good but got busy and stopped playing for a while. Can 100% say that 2.0 overall has made this game way more enjoyable. I also really think the overall story, and the sidequests are very fun, and the side characters feel very alive. I've done a lot in the game, some of the story, but having the options to do all that other stuff that is equally as enjoyable as the story is something that i've never really experienced. The only other game that i've actively done a ton of the sidequests in is BOTW and TOTK. I actively avoid the sidequests in a lot of games but this one has some really fun ones. And 90% of them come from you just getting calls on the phone which is nice. I don't always like having to speak to an NPC in some random corner of the map to get a side quest.
All things said and done, cyberpunks intro has actually made me cry, I see people meme about a "5 hour intro" but I think the intro is so important. The game can be heavy, maybe its just me, I do like to play while under the influence.
the 5 hour intro has more storytelling than most games with an entire playthrough. Absolutely love it
Its a long intro, but it's also probably the best intro ever made lol. I also appreciate that it's barely on rails at all, no forced tutorial besides the Dorsett gig. There's at most some quick popups or stuff like the BD tutorial. Sure the entire map isn't open until you do Konpeki, but you can easily spend 10-12 hours fucking around in Watson.
When I think of review bombs, I think of people living bad review without playing.
Ever since the 2.0 patch and the dlc released I've been finding it extremely difficult to put the controller down. I'll usually check the time and see that its 3am and Im still exploring dog town. Either game is that good or I'm just an addict.
- Clean Up Annoying Bugs
Thanks for a year of broken promises and failure.
@@monoriada117 they updated the game more than you updated your copy/paste
I had a high end PC at the time and loved the game. The glitches were far and few between when I compared it to other games before it. No regrets and I’m glad others could finally enjoy it
Most engaging story, I wasn't into story-based games until I played this game. Side characters feel real emotionally. Relatable main character in the sense that the question I ask is actually part of the main character's dialog options. Very fun "companion" with Johnny Silverhand. Most technologically advanced graphics with a breathtaking world to complement. Very fun and dynamic combat. One of the best stealth mechanics while technically not a stealth game.
Definitely one of my Top 3 games of all time.
I don't know how these people are still calling the game a "buggy mess". Since 2.0 I've played for about 25 hours and maybe run into 3-4 non-game-breaking bugs. I can even run the game on medium settings at 40 fps when I'm on my steamdeck so how tf people on PC are having performance issues are beyond me.
They still have so much to do to give us what they promised, but it's amazing what they're doing.
Nobody remembers what they promised at this point, it wouldn't be getting as much as much praise as it is if they did. Same can be said for people who defend starfield.
Nobody cares about what was promised at this point. The devs don't owe you anything.
@@SigmaGentPodcast Pretty beta take from a man calling himself a sigma.
>NPC got decapitated
>Asmongold : giggles.
Game was playable and was able to complete every quest on release (pc player). It quickly became one of my favorite games of all time, laughs, tears, cheers it had it all. I never understood why the hate, they delivered an amazing game on release, it has only gotten better.
The game was playable for you. For mostly everyone else, it was a mess
@@danielboyas7645 For PS4 players and mid-low tier PCs you mean. Which I guess might have been the majority.
But anyone with next-gen hardware had a great time.
They should have never released for PS4, and they should have made the minimum PC requirements stricter. But they did offer free returns so if you couldn't play you could just get your money back.
@@hagaiakNo
Cyberpunk has some of the funniest sword gameplay of any game. Blocking bullets does make sense because you have super eyes and arma
Ugh my god it feels so good to play a game that feels more or less like what was promised. I’m thoroughly enjoying the game so much right now, just please CDPR, learn from this mistake.
It's still far from. They will never fix the lack of promised RP elements. The character backgrounds are still meaningless. There still aren't any impactful, meaningful choices that make a difference in how the game ends. Dialogue is mostly the same no matter what you do, etc.
@@Yutani_CrayvenAgree
I was always a fan of the game, but 2.0 and Phantom Liberty to support the base game has turned it into one of my top 10 of all time.
I beat this game when it first came out and I can honestly say I have no reason to play it again. There was no new game plus mode and no replay value in the first place. They were better off just making a Cyber Punk 2 for next gen only.
The revamp to the blade and throwable weapons is immaculate. Plus the new attribute/perk tree and the new cyberware system. It's not just better than it used to be. It's better than any other FPS style RPG.
Ill still try their games but the trust is broken ill never blindly buy their games again. Now they get the lets wait and see treatment.
its more than "bad management and overseight"..... the project was just so fkn ambitious. building THIS game - which sets so many industry standards and new highs - and entire engine and making it work on last gen console was mentos and coke for ya. biting off more than they could chew
Cyberpunk was good on release PERIOD (minus the last gen consoles ) the story, character depth, dialogues, architecture, immersion/atmosphere is and was one of a kind at release. people just couldnt admit it because it was popular on social media to flame it.
I ignored the game at first when I heard about how terrible the launch was. Then Cyberpunk Edgerunners came out like a year after launch and it was so good that I decided to give the game a shot. I had a great time with my first playthrough. I'm almost through a second playthrough with 2.0 and Phantom Liberty and I think I'm going to do another one after just to try a different build. I'm even looking into running the Cyberpunk Red ttrgp because I love the world so much. I think 2077 is going to settle pretty high in my all-time favorite games list.
Waiting for you to continue the series... loved watching it here on RUclips
Honestly, I played the game on launch and experienced no bugs. And i was playing it on a laptop with not the greatest graphics card at the time. Ran just fine. Was shocked to see all of the videos showing buggy gameplay.
"im not a robot"
Good for you, still doesn't make the thousands of videos showcasing the bugs and glitches any less. I hope the person in charge of this bot has a nice day.
nah, he wasn't the only one... @@dudebruh8534
But hey... we all know how we all hate to update drivers, so surely... y'all couldnt have been playing that game on outdated drivers with up to date windows builds... right? (legit had no issues playing through 1.0 and the day one patch apart from a single t-pose. No I'm not a bot, nor is he probably, spent 85 hours on my first save)
Never said there weren't people that had buggy experiences. I was just saying that I didn't. How does that make someone a robot?
@@the_zugaroth When did I say that you said that? Seems like your bot mind can't read between the lines sadly.
I was one of the early adapters of Cyberpunk 2077, as well as a Gorilla Arms main. I can say with certainty that the game was always fun, and now I'm real disappointed I don't have the game anymore now. Those new arms look sick, I probably would've had a lot more fun in brawls with em.
Here within a minute cause I thought this was finally another internet historian reaction :)
Update: it is not
36:40 to 37:50 is why I respect Asmongold: dude makes a sweeping statement, sees someone make a good point, and he’s able to correct himself and improve his stance. He didn’t fundamentally change good opinion, but he learned and realized the way he presented it was inefficient and failed to accomplish his desire FOR the statement. Dude’s a literal human
I had a good time playing 2077 when it came out, despite all the bugs and subpar performance on my 1080ti, but, Phantom Liberty has completely turned the game around, it hasn't only improved, it feels like a completely new title, especially when playing it on a higher end system that can take advantage of all the graphical improvements it has received throughout all the different updates.
I don't think it's as simple as just giving the studio a second chance and this is coming from someone who enjoyed the game when it first launched. My issue is their mistake points to a much bigger problem. This happened when they took the company public, it highlights a change in direction and priority. Once the devs decide to prioritize pleasing investors instead of delivering a quality product then it's an issue and that's exactly what happened because they could have delayed the game once they discovered the QA problems. They didn't because it was nearing the most profitable period for games so they pushed it through anyway. That's the concern
Asmongold is buying into the hate train by continuously mentioning "they put out a bad game, and they fixed it".
If you see Asmon's 10-15 hours playthrough so far, which according to him he greatly enjoyed so far, you'll realize he'd have had basically the same experience on 1.0. Asmon did not mess around with police all that much, and he was mainly impressed by the detailed open world and the cinematic quests. Which have always been as they are.
So Asmon, like millions of other non-haters, would have enjoyed the game on release. So it irks me he says CDPR "put out a bad game" when he never played it, and he would have 100% enjoyed it.
Hay asmon,
So I'm from Iraq which is a Middle Eastern country, we basically have no special edition games (WE GET THE INTENDED GAME )
I played cyberpunk 2077 on day 1
Since I was playing it with a decent pc my experience was actually pretty good, now I'm just waiting for my 4080 to ship and then I'll play the expansion.
Can't wait to complete the achievements AGAIN.
LOVE FROM IRAQ❤
Love your content as well.
Keep it up man.
The game was great for me on launch. It’s mostly just been an enriched experience for me.
Very sad to hear that.
people are coping so hard...
I dont beleive you.
/\ PS4 users above
cyberpunk 2077s world is perfect for Asmon. its as crazy as he is and perfect to see his reactions
I like the fact that they fixed the bugs but the linear and short story can’t be fixed. The life paths only affecting the first 30 minutes can’t just be expanded on. Plus they promised free dlc but I guess they abandoned those plans. No vehicle customization is a very big bummer considering how cool the cars look in the game. Also wish they added more romance options that were also in depth like they had made it seem like in the gameplay demo before the games release. The games pretty good but I feel like it could’ve been more. It’s hard not to compare the game to GTA so it’s hard not to expect something like a GTA game in the future.
The life paths effect more than that you get very different conversation topics depending on what you picked, the dlc takes massive note of your life path choice, and while the story can be short there’s dozens and dozens of hours of gameplay in side content
There is free DLC. There is not a free expansion. Two very different things.
And to be honest, the life path does a good enough job of showing where V comes from, and crops up enough that it's referenced quite often by V throughout
I think CD Projekt Red are the absolute KINGS of god-tier writing and quest design. They never half ass it, and it always impresses me just how hard the quests go, even the small side quests are fully dimensional most of the time. There's rarely ever just filler quests to pad the playtime
Asmongold opinions on Starfield and his love for Cyberpunk made me an instant fan, now I see all his new videos. I agree with his takes so much, loving it. Cyberpunk its so damn good right now, its truly a gem that deserves praise
Cyberpunk is a damn near perfect game like 9.95 at this point.
Mix the best qualities of the Witcher 3, RDR2, Spider-Man (one), GTA, Far Cry series and Skyrim into one game and you get Cyberpunk
I wish the gaming community could hold an award show so that CDPR could get the recognition and praise they deserve
Game was always good, just had some bugs and was marketed deceptively. Big ups for them "fixing" it. People just want to follow hype and hate was the hype at the time. Gamers are just adhd hype losers these days.
Word
Nicely put. Most of my fellow gamers are apparently pathetic, entitled human beings. Oh well
I just loaded into the game and two NPCs were clipping into each other, that's not an uncommon occurrence, thoughts?
@@Bodwaizer I can't make that decision for you. Is that enough for you to refund? Then do that. Can you overlook graphical and clipping for the sake of a well said story? Then don't. Wish modern AAA style games were shipped big free but it simply isn't true. Now being lied to about what was going to be given to us from the get go knowing full well they were years from development on their initial reveal then shipping it to people deceptively with those bugs taken out then put back in for the average consumer, scum. But honestly I feel less cheated from two characters slipping than I would of they just kept making seasons and battle passes and so on and so forth. Use your money and speak with it. You hate that, return it.
@@ELFottler well being lied to and CDPR taking ESG (Blackrock) money is way bigger than just shipping shitty game, strange that no one pointing that out. I do enjoy playing it in small doses, it's just baffling to me that people call this game "best game ever" or even that "they fixed the game" or how IMMERSIVE game is, because it's clear that those people never played something like Deus Ex, Dishonored or Dark Messiah of Might and Magic.
You predicted the attack that happened! Iron shield held!
Theirs a viral video about it

Not gonna watch this cause I'm playing it right now and avoiding spoilers at all costs but I just wanna say CYBERPUNK 2077 IS THE BEST GAME OF ALL TIME!
Low standards 💀
It's top 20, maybe even 15 for me, have 11 days and 5 hours playtime and still wanna do another playthrough after this one
A buggy mess.
It’s not even close. The games pretty good but you should play more games if you think it’s the best game of all time.
the lowest of standards :c why coping this hard?
this is kinda sad
The devs are great and were never the issue. The problem is trust takes years to build, seconds to destroy, and forever to repair. The execs manipulated and took advantage of fans and left all of us fans looking like fools. Glad people are enjoying the game years after release but for me I can’t reward something that treated us like that. Just know the execs WILL use this “redemption arc” to justify why they can force devs to rush something out again as long as they fix it years later.
Let the cyberpunk 2077 shilling begin, LET THE SHILLING BEGIN LOL
Pretty shameless tbh
4:30 ill still maintain that it was a good experience for me at launch for cp2077, but i probably just got lucky with no game breaking bugs
i wish i could play this game for the first time again
Real gamers have liked the game this whole time
I downloaded cyberpunk for the first time last week, not because i was wating for the dlc or the new update, but just because I've happened to aquire some extra money recently and it was for sale at a decent price on the ps store so it seems i got lucky with my timing, ive been playing it for just over a week and im starting to enjoy it more and more.
