It's a joke and maybe an honor cause they were in a class of their own. Saw them on reunion tour in Cincinnati no one sat in their chair and ushers gave up on keeping people from dancing in the ailes

Unforgettable show, Detroit- Grande Ballroom '70 or '71, Geils band & Chuck Berry! There were no survivors.
I saw these Geils at the old Boston Garden in 1981 (with John Butcher Axis). Nearly 30 years later it is still one of the 3 best concerts I have EVER been to! That these guys are not in the rock and roll hall of fame is a travesty!
Omg it was feb 25th… how do i know this? Because i was just turning 16 and the parental units wouldn’t let me go🤬 and i personally knew John Butcher at the time 🤬🤬 so out the window and off to Oak Grove into north station. Bought a 15 dollar ticket and had the best time!!
'Showtime' is a CLASSIC live album. One of the all time best live albums ever. Bar none (IMHO)

You are right. I've also noticed that throughout all their videos. They seem to be living the emotion of the song they are singing. Specially in this one and Land of a Thousand Dances.

Saw them on this tour and truer words have never been spoken! Peter Wolf was one of best front men. They are right up there with Huey Lewis and the News.

The best live band ever.
This is such a fun, happy, bouncy song. I bought the BEST OF cassette in the early 80s and I loved this song. It made me realize there were decades of kickass songs and dances before 1982!

SMOKIN live band. Studio never did them full justice, capturing that energy. Would LOVEto have a full-length of this concert (Hint hint hint, EMI)

I too used to love them back in H.S.[78-80]. I always felt that INXS was very similar to their style and band makeup. After them nobody really took off as the bluesy/dance live rock band. We could use one now...
Damn right these guys should be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame! Saw them for the 1st time 73' and saw them many many times after. I meet Ahmet Ertegun and told him why isn't J.Geils in the Hall of Fame? These guys are true true musicians. Just saw them @ New Years 2010. Tore it up..Wow! Wake up Hall of Fame!!! Damn.

Saw them back in 1982 with the Rolling Stones in Naples, Italy. Waited in line from 9:00 in the morning and they did'nt come on till around 7:00 PM. Needless to say, drank ice cold Heinekens all day long ! What a great show !

Después Peter Wolf la quiso hacer linda con una carrera en solitario pero no le resulto, nunca pudo superar a su banda original.

rock and roll hof not complete until j geils band enters the holy shrine, saw these guys in south florida in 77, still one of my top 3 concerts of all time behind the dark side of the moon tour, and zepplins last show.
The RRHOF gets a little less holier every year.
