Still worked... i used equal amount of exotic ingrams and about 18ish shards across 3 guardians... immediately unlocked the new armor.... which was totally worth it.
Above, I hope you pin or like this, but there is another way of unlocking this feature. It is technically slower due to time gating, but another option if from ranking up with Xur.

Nah bro, you didn't max out the rep with Rahool by simply focusing 2 engrams into specific exotic items. And you certainly do not have enough ascendant shards to keep focusing random exotics only to gain more exp for the rep.
It is 12 "page 3" exotic engrams to hit Rank 17 and reset. It requires 720k glimmer, 24 Ascendant Shards, and obviously 12 exotic engrams. After that, each new armor piece costs 1 exotic engram and 1 exotic Cypher to unlock the new gear.

This is BULLSHIT bro. Ive done 30 strikes and beat onslaught on legend mode 15 times now. Ive only gotten ONE engram this entire time. How tf do we farm for engrams to rank up Rahool?? In gms they drop like candy but gms aren’t available yet. I don’t want to wait for gms to get it.
This is such a stupid way to get new exotics. Honestly, these should’ve had a chance to drop from the Revenant activities, then put into the random loot pool after the episode is over, same goes for all other exotics that require focusing to obtain. The fact that I have to focus to obtain the Cadmus Ridge Lancecap when that exotic came out ages ago is ridiculous.

Just complete the weekly missions. Some of them gives you an exotic reword for completing them, like doing three Gambit/Vanguard/Crucible activities
