    ***Hello all my great Friends, it is Sweet Tip Tuesday. Friends the last thing you want is to have moonroof/sunroof issues. Here we show you how to Lubricate, remove water spots and Ceramic Coat your moonroof. Even if you don't have a moonroof you can maybe help someone else that does have one.***

    Again, HOLY SHIT! I had a Mercedes which always had moonroof issues. I spent a lot of money trying to get it fixed. Knowing this will help me with my cars now and not be afraid to open up my moonroof 's anymore.

    I’m planning on ceramic coating the solar panels on my roof. It should help them to work better.
    Thanks for ALL your videos. I haven’t seen one I didn’t like. I think it would be amazing working there. The pride you take in what you do is a credit to you. Thanking you from Australia.

    Thank you for reinforcing my doubt about lithium grease in these tracks. I wanted to grease mine to stop a slight rattle but the dust thing was sitting somewhere in my brain stopping me. Any 9yo kid can tell you the grease or oil on a bike chain attracts dirt and dust. Well, maybe not any, just the mildly observant or even obsessive ones. I think I'll dry lube then 303 the other bits.

    Great Tips !nHey I was waxing my van today and I didn't have any tape to go by the edges on the mouldings so wax doesn't
    get in between the molding and the panel where wax is hard to clean off. Now yes you could use a brush and when I went to
    my toolbox and I didn't have any except a little acid brush like you see people like a machinist use to put oil on where he is lubricating the metal they are working on. Now take the brush and take masking tape and wrap it around the brushes so that the bristles that are sticking out from the tape is stiff enough to use to brush out the wax or mothers I love my mothers ! Thanks for that one !

I've used your method on all my auto glass with amazing results. Let momma put that spanking on them and easy perfect glass! Thank You for the video. Can you show us a video on how to stop moonroof/sunroof leaks? I cannot find mind because sometimes it leaks and other times it does not leak. it use to pour inside the cab, but now it just drops ''around the inside molding''. I have a 2000 Chev Tahoe and it has a level kit on it. I thought, that the leveling kit will fix the problem, but it slows the leaks down.

    • @SweetProjectCars

      That’s a tough one Arthur that leak could be anywhere 99.9% of the time it’s in the seal you may have to replace that but we will see what we can do for you but you also might want to take it into a body shop and have them take a look at it we have found though it’s usually the seal

    • @DiscoFang
      @DiscoFang 5 лет назад +1

      Arthur Pegues, I am betting one of your drain tubes is blocked at least partially. There's one at each corner so depending on the angle the vehicle is sitting and how heavy the rain is, would effect whether it overflows inside the headliner.

    • @DiscoFang
      @DiscoFang 5 лет назад +1

      The easy way to clear them is net curtain spring-cable fed in from the top like a pipe-cleaner, followed up by a drain cleaner or general floor cleaner mixed with hot water and poured slowly into the sunroof tub water channels. Some manufacturers put self-closing rubber grommets on the end of the drain hoses that eventually clog up in the dry seasons and just get worse and worse. (I'm talking about you BMW!). Yanking them off if you can get to them is a good move.

    So I’ve had a leak now for months and finally found it about 2 weeks ago. So I cautiously have taken the inside apart to find the source and clean the mold. I discovered the rear drain hose behind the drivers side was not connected to the plastic piece attached to the track. So I thought oh good this was a nice obvious fix. Afterwards I have been taking on the cleaning part. I’m finally satisfied with everything and decided before putting the drivers seat and inside finishers back to test it out by washing the car since it hasn’t rained. Well I had water leaking in. I’m feeling defeated. I’m trying to fix this with no help and I’m just stuck and have no clue what to do next. Is there any way you could maybe check out a picture of my piece and let me know if you have any suggestions? Of course it’s supposed to rain tomorrow and storm Friday so I am freakin out!
    I have a 2011 Nissan Altima coupe. Thank you for all the help you offer us!!

    • @Nguthrie1980

      Sweet Project Cars I’m just noticing your reply. I was able to figure out what the problem was. The drain hose that I reattached was not pushed up to the top of the nipple so it was leaking from there I think. So I pushed it all the way up and put a hose clamp on all 4 to prevent future problems with them coming off. Waiting for the next rain to get a real test!
      Is there a solution that I can safely pour in the tube directly to help clean the little bit of build up?
      I figured with having access to the tube and not needing to pour on to track system it would be a good idea to try and start completely clean. Thank you for the prompt reply last time. I was so panicked I forgot to check it!

    • @SweetProjectCars

      Sweet Project Cars ok I was thinking about using that but didn’t know if it would be ok with the tube material. I use it to clean everything else that I didn’t think it would. I’m more comfortable with hearing it from you. Thanks again!

    • @DiscoFang
      @DiscoFang 5 лет назад +1

      Nguthrie1980 Floor cleaner (with ammonia) or shower scum cleaner mixed with water is a great cleaner for the drain hoses. The gunk that builds up in there can be locked up with mould and moisture and crud. 90% of the time the crud is what blocks the hoses but the hose coming loose is the about 9% too. The last 1% can be kinked hoses from sloppy manufacturing assembly! Yes, I've seen a few. They don't block fully but can back up with crud or water in real heavy downpours. Well done sussing and fixing your problem!

      Sweet Project Cars , Mike, I TOTALLY understand buddy! Idk how you do it now, there's going to be a point where you're not going to be able. I shouldn't tell you this but it's kinda why I didn't comment the last couple vids, because I know how busy you are my friend and I know you go out of your way to reply to every comment. Nothing personal brother, LOVE all your videos!!! ☆Jay. 👍👍👍👍👍
