The piece you are calling a hair comb is actually a hair lifter , back in the 50s and 60s when you back comb your hair you would use that to lift your teased hair to the height you want and spray hair spray 😊
9:20 mark - the sterling flower earrings with the Turquoise center. I bought a sterling silver necklace of that design - the center was actually 1/2 of a cut plastic bead. 😒 Fortunately, I was able to return given not turquoise stone as defined by seller. A definite "test" to see if actually Turquoise stone!
i think that the stick pin is actually a hat pin. i have several from my grandmom. some are slightly longer, some are very much longer. great buys you made.
@@Rachelakalilyworks WOW I am glad yours turned out to be Gold. I dont think all they made were Gold but I have seen some listed as Gold Filled. I have a beautiful and large collection of Hillcraft and Castlecraft Jewelry most in their original boxes. I think I better start testing mine, maybe some are gold. Due to bad health and age I am in the process of downsizing and am planning on selling my collection. I am not sure if I should list separate or sell as a collection. Do you know of any jewelry Face Book groups where I could offer my collection and see what happens?????

I love Chico's, Talbots, soft surroundings, and Ann Taylor. Sorry love the cuts, embellishments, and style.
Yes absolutely!
I would use quiltted or basket for the earrings.
I think I used quilted

The Bakelite original color is on the back, green.
Great haul as always! I bought the ultrasonic cleaner with your link … I feel kind of clueless cleaning jewelry so hopefully that will help!! 😂

Those last earrings were made in Indiana in the 50s by Hillcraft. Typically not gold.
Thank you! I found out that they are 14k rolled Gold! That is why they have that look.

What is a pin stop and what does it look like? I have tried to Google it, but nothing comes up. Thank you!
It's on the Hinged end of the Pin. There is a piece that pokes up that doesn't allow the Pin to extend past a certain. Point
@@Rachelakalilyworks Thank you! Love watching you!
Watching now and cracking up 😂 over the pitter pat of feet somewhere in the house!!
Haha. Feet, piano, yelling, vacuuming...what is silence around here??
@@Rachelakalilyworks in a house of youngsters - silence means trouble!! 😈
