Outstanding. Classic. It feels like coming home after a long tour of duty and hugging your children on a sunny day; like laying in your bed after a long trip.

After studying the keyboard for 40+ years , the Partita in D minor Chaccone for me is among the most supreme works ever conceived for the instrument . Brahms revered it . There is nothing that goes un-exploited in this masterpiece . It transports me to a place beyond this mere mortal realm .

Not a pianist, but a beautiful composer- widely considered one of the best of all time. He wrote orchestral pieces, vocal pieces, and pieces for the harpsichord. Anything you hear on piano has been arranged by someone else for piano.

The Chaconne from the 2nd Violin Partita is beautiful. I’ve never heard it played on the piano until now. I’m very moved by this piece. I tear up every time I hear Hillary Hahn play it ❤️
