What incredible memory to play all this magic music of Bach without reading the music. Itslike remembeting every word in Dostoevskij's Brother Karamazov except music says more than words. Especially Bach's.
Incredible. What a labour of love from this young woman, extremely gifted, playing from memory (!!) that difficult but moving timeless masterpiece by the greatest artist of all time.
Absolutely outstanding tempered interpretation of Bachs' german character. What a perfect match. He would be very pleased by your interpretation. I hear Bach saying: this is exactly how it is supposed to be played!
One hour and 20 uninterrupted minutes of one of Bach's greatest meditations in his conversation with the Universe. Congratulations Martha Czech, for bringing us this universal conversation with such beauty and precision. God bless you.
Wunderschön zu hören die rhyythmische Brillianz. Bach dienend, uneitel. Kein selbstdarstellerischer Firlefanz. Wunderschön. die Hände aunzusehen. Rein Technisch. Die Klarheit ihrer Darbietung berührt.... Eine großartige Musikerin.
So you're only 26 and not only you already studied all Beethoven's sonatas, but even this serie. And everything from memory, which is otherwordly. I don't know what kind of brain you have but it's incredible. Best wishes for your future dear Polish girl.
Playing Bach like she is, on a modern instrument of this calibre, must be like driving a Ferrari on a scenic, open road… It is a double-edged sword that requires mastery over technique I will probably never wield myself. Nevermind the fact that she memorised every single note, pedal marking, articulation, dynamic… albeit it some of her own… and perform the entire work in a single sitting. The sensitivity of each melodic voicing is beyond anything I’ve experienced in modern Bach playing. Mindblowing does not even come close… It is an honour to have access to your art. Please keep blessing us 😂

Marta Czech, I kiss both your hands for this unbelievably mature interpretation! You have a great future as an interpreter of the greatest composer of all time!
Well, The Homeric epics were originally unwritten narrative poems, learned and passed down orally, so it's got some precedent. But in our modern era, with so many more sources of input into the brain (mostly distractions) learning these pieces and then PERFORMING so elegantly is a testimony to the artist's intellectual and dexterous greatness.
As a pianist and composer I know and love (and often tried to play parts of) this maybe greatest work of music ever since more than 40 years in all its details and have heard many great interpretations of it. But this one is really the greatest of all! M. Czech not only plays this, but becomes it !! This is a miracle and without exaggeration one of the greatest experiences of my musical life !!! I can not thank you enough for this superhuman performance 🌸🌸🌸

Wonderful performance by *Marta Czech* ! On organ I play only Contrapunctæ XI and XIV fromemory because too difficult to read and play. *XI* 37:00 *XIV* 112:04 Best recording I havever heard on organ is blind organist Helmut Walcha.

Never Forget , that 80% of Bach keyboards works are the result of an improvisation that Bach put on a score aferwards. We will never hear the best compositions of Bach, which means all the organ improvisations of Bach who died famous for his organ improvisations. During his life, he was popular and quiet famous in northern Germany not for his music (only known by fiew disciples and connoisseurs) but for his organ improvisations which are flying in the sky along my dream while listening such a mathematical improviser. Bach is unique to have been the only musician to improvise a piece which seems to be the perfect achievment of the throught, of a long mathematical work! no way, it came like this wouahhh !. How can you compose more than 500 hours of music for all instruments , without to be a genius improviser. How can you be the composer the most famous for each instruments and the musician the most learn in musical school all over the world without to be a great improviser. Otherways you think, you are an hard worker to compose 9 symphonies and 6 hours of piano and that's all, as Beethoven who was a hard worker and wonderful musician, but not the music incarnated. The first instrument that Bach learned and played was the violin, from age 5 to 10 under the teaching of his father who died and Bach started to play organ at 10 under his uncle.when his father his violin teacher died and that's the reason why he created himself the sonatas and partitas for solo violin which are among the most difficult and beautiful pieces for a small instrument ever invented and it takes Menuhin, or Pearlman, or Grumiaux to play these sonatas and partitas perfectly. But Menuhin was playing 7 hours of violin per day. How did Bach to compose it, to play it himself while playing organ, harpsichord, composing 330 cantatas plus The Passions , the oratorio, chamber music, cello music, add that he was an incredible luth player as well as a flutist as well as a cello player as well...
Martha you really make "dancing" this masterwork. Maybe Glenn is smiling you for your great variety of staccato. Thanks a lot for sharing this jewel. Take care of your gift. Paolo from Italy

Unreal. The Art of the Fugue was an obsession of mine when I was in college. That it was all but impossible on a single guitar was a neverending source of frustration. Hearing it so expertly played on piano let's me live vicariously, so thank you for uploading this masterful performance!
This is one of the best piano interpretations of this last of Bach's works. I love hearing it on the piano, harpsichord, and organ. The late German organist, Helmut Walcha interpreted it masterfully on both organ and harpsichord. This is a monumental work, and Maestra Czech absolutely brought this piece, which is very complex and difficult, to life. I am an awe of her talent.

I don't believe I have ever heard a performance of Die Kunst der Fuge where every moving line of the Fuge is so clearly delineated...after all, the beauty of a Fuge is to submerge oneself into the counterpoint.
I hope even if it’s just 1 single person that sees this, that they have an amazing day and an even better future! 💖💖💖
